Strong Economy, Not Large Deficit

During an interview with Bloomberg on Thursday, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen stated that the rise in Treasury yields that increases the cost of the U.S. government borrowing money isn’t largely connected to the deficit, but is largely “a reflection of the resilience that people are seeing in the U.S. economy that we’re not having a recession, that consumer spending and demand continue to be strong, the economy is continuing to show tremendous robustness.”

Joe Biden sold a house to a supporter for $1.2 million in 1996 - but it is only worth an estimated $1.65 million 27 years later, DailyMail.com can reveal. The current valuation raised questions over whether Biden received an inflated price for the property from a donor nearly three decades ago. It was purchased by an executive for a credit card company that, in the same year, also hired Biden's son Hunter and then paid him for years. Biden bought the 10,000 square-foot mansion in Greenville, Delaware for $185,000 in 1974. At the time he had recently become a senator on a salary of $42,500.

Far-left billionaire kingmaker George Soros has funneled more than $15 million since 2016 to groups behind this month’s pro-Palestine protests, where demonstrators openly cheered Hamas militants’ craven terrorist attacks on Israel. A Post examination of Open Society Foundations records shows Soros’ grant-making network gave $13.7 million of the money through Tides Center, a deep-pocketed lefty advocacy group that sponsors several nonprofits who’ve justified Hamas’ bloody attacks while claiming Palestinians obsessed with the eradication of the Jewish state are the real victims.

At least 800 pro-Palestinian protesters have descended on Union Square following a day-long rally that saw demonstrators climbing the Brooklyn Bridge, damaging cop cars, and blocking traffic. Secretary of State Antony Blinken contends that Hamas would gain no “greater” victory “than allowing its brutality to send us down a path of terrorism and nihilism. We must not let it.” You can hear echoes of Barack Obama’s insufferable moral equivalencies imbued in that statement. The contention is a not-so-subtle warning to Israel, who will almost surely enter Gaza and try to dismantle the Hamas terror state — which has been indirectly and directly funded not only by Iran, the European Union, and the United Nations but also by the Obama and Biden administrations. The insinuation, of course, is that Israel needs to temper its inclination to engage in “terrorism and nihilism.
