Special Counsel Jack Smith asked Judge Tanya Chutkan to impose a strict federal gag order on Trump and send him to jail if he talks about any witnesses.
In August Trump was hit with 4 counts in Jack Smith’s January 6 case up in DC: Conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding, and conspiracy against rights.
Jack Smith is using the DC J6 case to gag Trump.
The special counsel’s prosecutors accused Trump of attempting to “prejudice the jury pool through disparaging and inflammatory attacks on the citizens of this District, the Court, prosecutors, and prospective witnesses.”

IF Trump cannot mention prosecutors, judges, staff or witnesses...
Prosecutors, Judges, Staff, and Witnesses cannot be free to mention Trump.
He IS innocent, under Law...right up until he is convicted, assertions of his Guilt and now even punishments prior to that are thereby violations of all precedent. He is entitled by Law to make a vigorous Defense, in and out of the Courtroom, that includes "Impeaching witnesses, prosecutors and procedures".

We need a very strong statute for jail term for prosecutors who politicize their office. Of course, the Dims would turn that into a weapon against their enemies.
What we need are sane persons at all levels of power. That seems beyond reach now. The power mad self righteous have infiltrated everything.

If Donald Trump doesn't have enough sense of self-preservation to just stop talking about these cases, he WILL be sent to jail. These political judges are just goading him and begging him to defy their gag orders so they can- and WILL- send him to some hell-hole like Riker's Island or Fulton County Jail. It's infuriating that he is so stubborn and blinded by ego that he thinks he's bullet proof. No, Donald, you are not. These guys have all the power over you at the moment. Grow up and show some sense.

This is DC. I don't think that Trump is going to prejudice a jury there.
Go ahead. Throw him in jail. And seal the election for him right then and there.

As if Trump could prejudice the DC jury pool. They are already prejudiced--against him.

Amazing that the left can actually, in the real world (this is not an acedemic exercise) implement Stalin's tyrannical playbook of show trials yet some still find a way to blame Trump.

This filthy corrupt prosecutor had his big time political conviction of a sitting Governor overturned 9-0 at SCOTUS. How tis scum has a law licence is an outrage. Same goes for the corrupt "judge".

Re #3. currently the laws almost 100% protect prosecutors from ANYTHING that they may do "in their official capacity". It has to be extremely obviously a straight up crime for them to get anything done to them.
"Merely" destroying someone's life on false premises doesn't get them anything, which is why they continue to do it.

Disparage the DC jury pool???? Trumps lawyers should request the so called judge to stop Smith from trashing Trump. Oh I forgot DC is a one sided justice system. Trump should allow his lawyers to handle the cases, keep his mouth shut & he camapign on the comparison 2020 to now!!!

our President is building a civil law suit that will bankrupt most of the people involved in this tomfoolery and the damages will not be enough to right the wrongs done to this man who we had the pleasure of calling him "our President" for 4 strenuous but distinctly productive years for our country

In response to #5, a year ago I probably felt the same way but I have changed my mind. I thought what the Democrats did to Sarah Palin was unacceptable and the treatment of Donald Trump is unacceptable and inexcusable. The patience and perseverance he has shown in these last months makes me question your last statement. Grow up and show some sense? Your definitions or meanings are completely different than mine.
