Landry Takes Louisiana

Original Article

In Southeastern Louisiana, in St. Tammany Parish (of the original ‘Florida Parishes’), Attorney General Jeff Landry just won by a landslide in the race for the incoming governor of Louisiana. Louisiana is, if you credit the MSM, considered one of the ‘worst’ states in the U.S., for just about anything but food. Yet, one can find extant, ‘diverse’ culture, personal freedom; there is also, in practice, widespread colorblindness -- or at least indifference -- to race in large areas of Louisiana, where the Democratic Party does not rule the roost.

Jeff ran some very hard hitting ads featuring black victims of crime and earned 12% of the black vote which is unheard of in Louisiana. Also against this backdrop there were some really horrific crimes even by Louisiana standards that shook people to their core and democrats didn’t really have an answer.

Louisiana is so misunderstood. I’ve lived in Wisconsin for most of my life, except for 5 years in Louisiana. I’d still live there but family issues brought me back here. LA is a wonderful place, and it’s sad that it has a poor image to outsiders. Part of her problem is her own fault- strange and anti-business laws, weird politics, inconsistent liquor laws, higher taxes than neighboring states. Places like Baton Rouge, Monroe/West Monroe and Shreveport/Bossier City could and should be booming. Education: like everywhere in America public schools have been taken over by the left. Parents and students are not cool with that and don’t want to pay taxes for it.

The Left’s Planned Destruction of the
Judeo-Christian World

What is now occurring in Israel is no act of happenstance or the result of failed policy. It is the execution of a premeditated plan of destruction that Obama began, and Biden is trying to finish. The American left has long desired to eliminate Judeo-Christian followers. Their reasoning is simple: you cannot conquer, subjugate, and enslave a population that refuses to accept the rule of an earthly authority. With Barack Obama leading the American left and pulling the strings on the Biden marionette, the plan is in motion. They seek to destroy Israel, followed by erasing Christians, whether through genocide (as in parts of Africa) or criminalizing Christianity.

On Tuesday General Mike Flynn filed charges in the US District Court for the Middle District of Florida against far-left smear merchants Andrew Weissmann, Nicolle Wallace and MSNBC for knowing promoting materially false statements that General Flynn “plotted the insurrection” and that he was guilty of lying to the FBI. Both of these are provably false statements used to smear the 33-year military hero and US veteran. This is also very concerning coming from the former top DOJ lawyer and MSNBC “expert” used by the company to promote and defend their leftwing positions, no matter how bizarre or dishonest.

This story dates to last summer when former President Barack Obama’s personal chef drowned while paddle boarding. There was much intrigue, as there always will be when a body washes up on the shores of an ex-president’s home. Tafari Campbell was a longtime chef at the White House who started working there under Bush. After Obama’s presidency was over, he was invited by the First Family to be their chef. Many parts of the story were odd. From the 911 call to the markings and bruising on Obama’s hand and face, conspiracy theories flowed about what happened. The initial reports were that the Obamas were not at their residence

As Democrats continue to embrace and refuse to condemn anti-Israel, pro-Hamas views — from the mainstream media to Capitol Hill and campus leftists to marches in the streets of American cities — President Joe Biden's party desperately needs a reality check on who the good guys are and why they're not the Hamas barbarians who slaughtered Israelis in the deadliest day for Jews since the Holocaust. And, since Democrats aren't willing to listen to those across the aisle when they explain why America needs to stand with Israel for the good and safety of both Israeli civilians and any innocent residents of Gaza against barbaric Hamas terrorists

Mitt Romney voted to impeach President Trump for a phone call in which the president encouraged Ukraine to investigate allegations of serious corruption—coincidentally involving the Biden crime family—but according to a new book, the failed politician admits he had no idea what Burisma was when he voted to impeach a duly-elected president for calling on foreign governments to investigate alleged criminality. That is extreme ignorance (not to mention dangerous) when a senator is willing to impeach a president just because he doesn’t like him, all without knowing the facts.

Most of the Muslim world has joined hands with most of the leftist world to make a single argument: Israel is a colonialist occupier that must be routed from the Muslim Arabs’ native land. To the extent Hamas launched an incursion into Israel, it was a necessary act to end imperialism. Many of us (me included) fight back with history showing that Jews are the indigenous people and Muslims the colonialists. That’s a pointless argument because the colonialist claim is just a cover: Islam and leftism are grounded in hatred for Jews, which plays out in the pointed savagery of the attack and open calls for Jewish deaths

The current kerfuffle in the Republican party’s attempt to select a Speaker of the House to replace Kevin McCarthy brings to mind the ascension and later resignation of Newt Gingrich as Speaker following the Republican Revolution vote of 1994. In that election, thanks largely to Gingrich’s Contract With America, Republicans gained fifty-four seats to garner the majority in the House for the first time in forty years. Gingrich was mainly responsible for electing a sizable number of the new, young wave of House Republican conservatives. The Republicans elected Newt as the 50th House Speaker. He served four years as Speaker and, in my opinion, deserved to serve many more.

Make no mistake, I never really thought they were great people. The party of slavery, Jim Crow, and segregation isn’t suddenly going to pull a 180 and not be monsters; it’s who they are. “A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself.” --Marcus Tullius Cicero The uniparty, that deep state bureaucracy that rules over us all, determined that the people should not have the Speaker of their choice. A clear majority of Republicans wanted Rep. Jim Jordan to replace Rep. Kevin McCarthy for good and obvious reasons.

Israel has agreed to delay its impending ground invasion of Gaza until the U.S. can establish air defenses to protect U.S. troops throughout the region. The Pentagon has requested that Israel hold off until they can deploy nearly a dozen air-defense systems to the region, the Wall Street Journal first reported. The missile deployments, which are expected to be completed in the coming days, are intended to shield U.S. troops serving in Iraq, Syria, Kuwait, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates from enemy rockets and missiles. While the status of humanitarian aid available to Gazans and the release of hostages are still national concerns

The embarrassing impasse in the House of Representatives has finally ended, as Louisiana’s Mike Johnson has been elected Speaker. So, who is Mike Johnson, and why was he finally able to succeed where several more notable House members failed? I suspect that the answer has more to do with desperation than anything else. The Republican Party was made to look ridiculous, not so much by the party’s divisions as by the utter lack of party loyalty and discipline that was revealed by one failed vote after another. Most likely, Republicans coalesced behind Johnson–a little-known commodity, who has never been a committee chairman–to stop the bleeding.

Jim Jordan and Tom Emmer’s failed bids, “I think he is a person who’s hard to demonize. You know, it's very easy to demonize somebody like a Jim Jordan, who’s a fire brand. At the time, GM and Honda said they expected to begin production of “millions” of these affordable EVs by 2027. “After studying this for a year, we decided that this would be difficult as a business, so at the moment, we are ending development of an affordable EV,”
