AP Won't Let Reporters Call Hamas a Terrorist Organization

Original Article

Many news outlets, blogs, and other publications (probably far too many) rely on the Associated Press Stylebook or style guide. Just for the record, this outlet is not one of them. But because it is so widely used, you may be noticing something missing from much of the coverage of the ongoing war between Hamas and Israel in the wake of the October 7 terror attacks. And that would be the word “terrorist.” As the Free Beacon discovered, the AP is discouraging anyone from using the word to describe the literal Hamas terrorists who murdered, raped, tortured, and kidnapped so many Israelis and people of other nationalities

Then AP is a terrorist supporting organization. After all, they paid rent to Hamas, and their office was next to Hamas. The Israelis gave them ten minutes to leave, then leveled the place. AP was not pleased, but at least they're alive. As I have said before, the only good AP was Arnold Palmer.

It strikes me that there is a giant market void for a non-agenda-driven version of the AP. It doesn't even have to be "conservative". It merely must be not insanely woke.

Call them what they are Bashi-Bazouks, famous(infamous) during Ottoman times for doing EXACTLY this sort of thing, slaughtering, beheading, burning, raping, men women, children,...looting. Mentions of the Massacre of Phocaea(now Foca), The massacre of Batak, the massacre of Candia, would clearly point out the similarities. The current Palestinian assertion that the worst of the atrocities were perpetrated not by "Hamas Troops", but rather by unaffiliated locals who crossed over on their own, mirrors the Ottomans excuses that the Bashi-Bazouks were not uniformed or under direct Military command..though they WERE collected, armed, and attached to the "Young Turks" Govt units, they were not PAID, instead they were expected to live off of loot and plunder.

House GOP spirals into chaos as Emmer

Majority Whip Tom Emmer, R-Minn., has dropped out of the race for speaker hours after being named House Republicans’ nominee. Emmer won a majority of the GOP Conference on Tuesday morning after five rounds of voting, against six other potential candidates. But it quickly became clear that he did not have enough support to outright win a House-wide vote. With Republicans’ razor-thin majority, a GOP speaker-designate can only lose four members of their own party to win the gavel without Democratic support. At least 25 Republicans said they would not support Emmer in a House floor vote after he won the title.

The out-of-control airline pilot who tried to down and Alaskan Airlines flight midair told cops he had taken magic mushrooms for the first time, it emerged Tuesday. Joseph Emerson, 44, an off-duty commercial airline pilot, went off the rails while sitting in the cockpit jump seat of a flight between Everett, Washington, and San Francisco on Sunday — trying to cut the fuel to the engines before he had to be held down by crew members. Even while restrained, Emerson tried to open the emergency doors on the Alaskan Airlines flight as the pilots frantically guided the craft to the ground. When later interviewed by police he said he had a “nervous

No, I’m not kidding. The New York Times re-hired an open admirer of Hitler to cover the Gaza Strip conflict. As I have pointed out before, you can’t believe a single thing reported out of the Palestinian territories because the “journalists” allowed to “report” are only allowed to be there because of their allegiance to the “cause.” There may be an occasional Western reporter who is allowed in to be shown carefully curated “facts,” but the people who bring you the “news” are almost exclusively agents of the terrorists. “Journalists” such as Sulaiman/Soliman Hijjy, an admirer of Hitler whose social media posts include images and praise of Adolf Hitler

Israel's ambassador to the United Nations is ripping the "horrible views" that U.N. Secretary General António Guterres expressed at a meeting of the Security Council on Tuesday and is calling for his resignation. Ambassador Gilad Erdan described Guterres’ remarks as "shocking" for stating that the Oct. 7 terror attacks on Israel by Hamas "did not happen in a vacuum" and that the "Palestinian people have been subjected to 56 years of suffocating occupation." "The shocking speech by the @UN Secretary-General at the Security Council meeting, while rockets are being fired at all of Israel, proved conclusively, beyond any doubt, that the Secretary-General is completely disconnected from the reality

Israel is protesting after UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres appeared to try to explain the impetus behind the Hamas terror group’s attacks on Israel at a UN Security Council meeting on the Israel-Hamas. “It is important to also recognize the attacks by Hamas did not happen in a vacuum,” Guterres said. “The Palestinian people have been subjected to 56 years of suffocating occupation. They have seen their land steadily devoured by settlements and plagued by violence; their economy stifled; their people displaced and their homes demolished. Their hopes for a political solution to their plight have been vanishing.” Guterres added that “the grievances of the Palestinian people cannot justify the appalling

The US has said now is not the time for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, as the UN reports that some Palestinians who fled their homes in the north of Gaza have returned due to a lack of food and shelter in the south. The White House national security spokesperson John Kirby told CNN on Monday that Israel still had “work to do to go after Hamas leadership”, echoing comments from the US president, Joe Biden, that any discussions of a ceasefire could only take place if Hamas freed all its hostages in Gaza. The statement from the White House was at odds with comments from UN and EU

Amidst a rash of antisemitism emanating from the left following the deadly terrorist attack by Hamas on October 7th, those who championed cancel culture are now being devoured by it. Somewhat surprisingly, corporations have decided that championing the largest slaughter of Jews since the Holocaust is a bridge too far. Most would consider that a justified standard. Yet, the same people who once lauded cancel culture as a necessary consequence are now demanding that conservatives come to their aid. Claims of hypocrisy are ringing out, claiming that because the right broadly opposed cancel culture, they should now go to bat for those who created it.

The New York Times reports: Jenna Ellis, a pro-Trump lawyer who amplified former President Donald J. Trump’s baseless claims of election fraud as part of what she called a legal “elite strike force team,” pleaded guilty on Tuesday as part of a deal with prosecutors in Georgia. “Amplifying baseless claims” is not a known criminal offense, and it is something that a great many lawyers have been known to do.

It’s three weeks since Republicans ousted Kevin McCarthy. The House speaker will need to accomplish the seemingly impossible job of uniting the GOP majority. Emmer of Minnesota jumped ahead as the top vote-getter on early round ballots and was battling Rep. Mike Johnson of Louisiana on a fifth ballot. Others are dropping out including Florida newcomer Byron Donalds, who’s aligned with Donald Trump, and Kevin Hern of Oklahoma. The nominee will also need to win a majority in a House floor vote.

Propaganda works. And for the past few decades, the Left has owned the education system and pushed identity politics so successfully that a generation has turned against civilization itself. The morality of an act depends upon who did it, not what was done. How else can you explain the fact that a majority of Americans under 25 think that the attacks by Hamas on Israeli civilians were justified, even though a larger majority of them also believe that the attacks were done by terrorists who had genocidal intentions? Yes, we have a pro-terrorist/pro-genocide contingent of young people in the United States. Decolonization, by any means necessary.

That is extreme ignorance (not to mention dangerous) when a senator is willing to impeach a president just because he doesn’t like him, all without knowing the facts.

It’s a tortured thought exercise that will inevitably leave all parties dissatisfied. Obama voices his support for Israel, the safety of its people, and its right to exist, which is anathema to the legions of far-left, pro-Hamas supporters we’ve seen come out of the bushes in the past two weeks.
