The surprise victory in Louisiana’s open gubernatorial primary for Governor-Elect Jeff Landry (R-LA) on Saturday is an encouraging sign for Republicans heading into the 2024 elections, GOP insiders tell Breitbart News.
Landry, who is currently the Bayou State’s attorney general and had the endorsement of former President Donald Trump, won the open primary with a nearly 52 percent majority on Saturday night. In other words, he won the governorship outright without having to face another rival in a November runoff.
The Times-Picayune/New Orleans Advocate reports a significant factor in Landry’s victory was a low turnout, the likes of which had not been seen in a decade,

That melodious lone trombone, playing ‘Amazing Grace’ each day at noon at the French Quarter/Canal Street, Café du Monde for the seven years we lived nearby and our prayers have been heard… Thank You, LORD.

I read an article like this and start to believe the author is from another planet. The Democrat party has refined vote cheating...endorsed by the MSM and the courts...to a point where it is institutionalized. Republicans have elected their last president, sad to say.

mitch mcconnell, in the Senate, and ....
a victory for our President in 2024, not too much else to ask for in this world made 1000 times worse in the past 3 years by diapers and the bidenistas and ....
bringing charges against comrade obama, diapers biden and the rest of the bidenistas for Treason by a new and unadulterated Justice Department with Matt Whitaker as Atty. General

We aren't falling for that "red wave" garbage again. Get out and vote and watch every voting place for the inevitable democrat shenanigans. The country will not survive much longer with socialist morons in charge.

The only reason he won is the cheating Dems were caught off guard because the didn't think the primary mattered thinking no one would get over 50% of the vote. They were saving their money to spend it for cheating on the election they thought would matter.

Unfortunately the single obstacle of vote fraud and corrupted judges still stands with no solution in sight. If this threat is. controlled a sweeping landslide in House, Senate, the White House are given. Democrats are nowhere near a National governing majority Party.

Sorry folks...35 years ago I believed the Republicans wanted to wint an election and last year I believed THE RED TSUNAMI...fool me once, fool me twice. I think I might be done with pie in the sky until something wonderful actually happens.
Just remember the RNC is still doing things just like they did 40 years ago.

Those of us in Louisiana are pretty conservative (outside of New Orleans). A few years ago we got sick of corrupt officials and responded by electing Bobby Jindal. We now have two R senators, but one is really a democrat and had to switch over to get elected. We suspect Dominion machines assisted the current D governor in a close election. We were proud of Landry's national efforts as AG.
I once saw a young man trying to burn an American flag on the campus of LSU once, and he got pummeled by water balloons. The man had to be rescued by an officer on horseback.
We have lots of hunters and Bubbas and Cajuns, so don't consider Louisiana to be the norm for the rest of the nation.
#6 is also correct. Our jungle primary is quite the zoo, and there were many throwing their hat in the race for governor.

I'm guessing the Democrat election fraud mill in Louisiana was planning to put all their effort into the November election and didn't think they needed to waste any effort on the primary. After Landry won a majority of votes in the primary, there will not be a runoff election in November.

The author needs to put down the bong. There are 81 million reasons not to believe this, though it should be true. Headline might be true if we only counted votes and not ballots.

Yeah and the Republicans were going to win a 40-seat majority in Congress in 2022. We're doomed.

There’s no way the knuckleheads won’t screw it up again. Extrapolating a national trend from one local election is foolish.

The Democrats shot themselves in the arse when they changed to a “jungle” primary. Their assumption was that democrats would come in in first and second place, eliminating any chance of a Republican being elected governor. Surprise, surprise, surprise, it did not go according to plan. The voters elected a governor in the primary.
I hope the new governor manages to drain the Louisiana political swamp.

Some of the opinions I've read is the Democrats didn't push the ballot harvesting scheme because they thought there would be a runoff. I guess the leftists didn't know the Louisiana voters were so angry at the decline of the economy and rise in crime.
