A number of Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives are reportedly refusing to support Rep. Jim Jordan in his bid to replace Rep. Kevin McCarthy as House Speaker, not because of personal opposition to Jordan but rather in protest of Matt Gaetz’s efforts to oust the previous speaker. “I have been told by a good number of people that their objection isn’t personal to Jim, it is that voting in Jordan is perceived to be rewarding Matt Gaetz and the rest of the eight,” Arizona Rep. Andy Biggs said.

I don't believe it. I don't believe it's anything as honest as good old human spitefulness. I suspect it's more to do with fear that their Uniparty system of favors, power, privilege, and money will be endangered if a Speaker with integrity gets in place.

It means they fear neither the eight or their supporters. Gaetz is ostracized.

Grow up or get out of the way. The world is imploding on several levels. Go be a dumbass on your own time. Too many problems to deal with so called adults acting like 12 year olds.

Juveniles pettiness aside, never forget: we have a roster of criminals who dance to the tune of their paymasters, NOT the hoi polloi they are "nominally" supposed to be serving.
There is no immediate remedy, so suck that up, buttercup.
But there IS a remedy IF voters Primary the bastids out.
Memories are typically short.
RINOs typically win folks over with Mom& Apple Pie rhetoric
... then revert to RINO screwing of those who trusted and believed in them.
REMEMBER who the turncoats are!
Do NOT forgive the shiv in you ribs for promises of future goodness!

Remember that impassioned campaign for Student Council President in the eighth grade? Here it is 45 years later. Except then protest votes were for Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. Humans haven’t changed for millenia.

Kind of sounds like what the 4% did that started this. I believe Gaetz has hurt Trump , if he wins the presidency, more than it helps him. He was for McCarthy if I remember correctly.

Gaetz got rid of McCarthy. Many thanks. And Gaetz got rid of the ridiculous idea of giving McHenry unconstitutional power. Now Gaetz can take credit for making Jordan speaker, which will happen eventually.

If this story is true, then these 22 so-called Republicans, my Congressman included, the traitorous, moron Nick LaLota from CD 1 in eastern Long Island, should be primaried and DUMPED. These 22 have shown they are immature, unprofessional and because their panties are in a twist, the entire country, indeed their constituents that voted for them, NICK, are all suffering.
DUMP THEM at the next election.

All you folks savaging Gaetz should read the article over at americathinker.com from a couple of weeks ago making a cogent apologetic for Gaetz and the other few Republicans' taking out McCarthy. McCarthy was asking for it because he tried a business as usual deal with the dhimmicrats in violation of one of his promises that got him the Speaker's gavel in the first place.

The arguments these 22 initially used against Gaetz can now be used against themselves. And, it's especially troubling not to have a Speaker who is third in line to be President. We have an old man as President who could pass on at any time. What if the number two were taken out and we have no number three in place?

These people are children unworthy of any office higher than middle school student council. Even then their main concern will be what is served in the cafeteria.
