The media and punditry are saying it’s the pressure of Jordan, but really, it’s the pressure of the voters that’s scaring the crap out of the Republicans in the House.
The block of opposition to Jim Jordan’s nomination in the House is crumbling, as their phones, emails and fax machines are being lit up by voters demanding support and threatening a removal primary against any House member who tries to stand in the way of the people.
Jordan has vowed to take his nomination to a House floor vote and force the Republican Party to take a stand. This is a solid strategy that puts any no vote against the will

I have often wondered how many LDotters light up their elected representatives' emails and fax machines.

For anyone about to play gotcha:
"Y’all know how I feel about Jordan in general terms, but hopefully the MAGA base and President Trump’s influence can overwhelm the right wing of the Uniparty vulture." (Sundance)

It's time some of these people got frightened about losing their perks and staff and prestige if they don't act like republicans.
They have been bad mouthing Conservatives long enough.

This is a marvelous turn of events! The voters standing up, telephoning, and sending emails and texts to these RINOs to tell them to vote for Jim Jordan. It's like a Frank Capra movie. It's the modern version of "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington."

It only takes 5 GOP RINOs to caucus with the Democrats and come up with a winner for speaker, and some are trying to get this compromise candidate to stop conservative Jordan.

Hearing lots of conflicting stories, but I hope the voter pressure is real. Long past time for some of these RINOs to start representing the people who voted for them or face being ousted in a primary.

Jordan is smart, conservative, not afraid to slam the dems and he wants the job. What's the holdup? House, we need a speaker now, do it.

Let's see how this works out....the rino republicans have a tough decision to make....because President Trump endorsed Jordan and will follow the rinos back to their districts and tell their people what they did....

Come on Red State Idaho! Go after Mike Simpson who is a Rino and should be voting for Jim Jordan, but at this point isn't.
Who is buying Simpson off? I've called his office. Call him, text, or e-mail, but contact him. Does he want the demon-Rats to be in charge of the House? Looks like he does with this stubborn refusal to vote for a conservative.

I don't see Jordan as an improvement over McCarthy. All politicians have flaws but some flaws are more glaring than others. Those who condemned McCarthy for following the same path as Trump on spending bills are especially curious in their selectivity.
