As if visiting a Disney theme park wasn’t already outrageously expensive, the Walt Disney Company is once again hiking the price of admission to Disney World in Orlando and Disneyland in Anaheim, with certain passes skyrocketing by as much as 21 percent.
Disney is also jacking up the price of parking in Orlando from $25 to $30, or 20 percent.
The eye-popping increases, which take effect immediately, represent Disney’s latest attempt to juice revenue amid faltering financials that have left the once invincible company in disarray. Long a reliable cash cow, Disney parks are showing signs of serious vulnerability, with mounting reports of weak attendance

With inflation as it is, good luck with telling people that the already very high Disney prices are going up another 21%.

Heck, it's been $30 in Anaheim for over a year. All of the attendance issues cited in the article must be unique to Florida, as you need a reservation 2-3 months in advance for Anaheim or you don't get in - sold out every day. Disney was more fun when it was just Disney. Pixar was initially a unique spin, but then came George Lucas, Marvel, and now Star Wars. It's too much.

Buying Disney tickets? . . . It Breaks my heart: I haven't been to Disneyland since the 1970s, so how can I double down on zero?

Good luck. The further price hike should decrease attendance another 25%. Add the woke, and Disney will be down to a trickle of attendance.

Brilliant plan! Why not take it to its logical conclusion?
Raise the price of a ticket to $8.3 billion. They'd get their annual revenue in one day and take the rest of the year off.

Been there, done that. In 1972. My father, brother, and I were so bored we went to Bay Hill (mom and sister stayed at WDW), and, from a distance, watched Arnold Palmer give a golf lesson to Vice President Spiro T. Agnew. Better than the Mouse. Everything Arnold told Spiro was right on. Spiro wasn't as bad as Pence. Probably a better golfer, too.

Hmmm. People not going because it is $125, so they expect more to come at $150???
Even fewer will come, fools.
Leftists just cannot grasp basic economics.
They try to get more money for government by raising tax rates.....and get less. But Repubs lower taxes and collect much more revenue.
If they could grasp basic economics and math.....they wouldn't be leftists.

Disney...don't worry! Dopes will continue into the parks even if admission prices are doubled. Priced a Rams football game lately? Same thing! At least the Rams don't have a trans Tinkerbell forced to work as a woman since the 1950s or a guy in the Snow White store wearing a beard and a dress.

So people are already NOT going because
a) they don't want their children groomed by Bibbity Bobbity Transvestites and other sexual perverts
b) the parks' rides have become incredibly hard to navigate with impossible lines thanks to the pay to play system they have installed to replace fast passes
c) the staffing has been reduced and the staff are overworked and rude
d) the average American family is no longer the consumer Disney wants or desires. They much prefer Saudi whales, DINKS, gay men, and spinster cat ladies.
e) and the economy sucks
so naturally... you raise the price of admission. While I hate it for the actual good employees, the parks can not go broke fast enough. Disney needs a hard reset and Iger needs the pink slip.

My neighbors seem to go to Disney World in Florida about as often as I go to get gas at the gas station. Every time I turn around, they're headed south to Disney. I think they went four times last year, and I know they've been there three times this year. I think they said tickets were $135 a person for Disney world. I don't get it. They're a young couple apparently with money to travel, but not to take care of the house they bought last year. Even the easy task of pulling a few weeds seems to be too much work for them. Mom and Dad helped them buy the house, but like so many young people, the task of taking care of the property just doesn't cross their minds. I'm hoping their home doesn't affect my property value, but only time will tell. I'm guessing the fantasy world of Disney is more in line with their thinking. I'm guessing the increase in prices won't deter them from making trips to Disney World, just another excuse to claim they don't have the money to take care of their house.

The general Orlando area is full of Mouseketters they come in from all over the nation just to be near the mouse. What in hell makes them tick is beyond me , housing is some of the highest in Florida , congestion is hell , I swear it is a cult.

That's the ticket. When attendance fails to meet expectations, raise the price. That's probably what they were taught while heading for a degree at Harvard.
I was at Disneyland the very first year it was opened. Over the course of the 20th Century, I went there over 60 times. In today's world, what the Disney organization is trying to shove down the throats of our children makes me regret that I ever cared for any Disney product.

Disney hadn't gone woke the last time my now late wife and I went on the spur of the moment when we were in So.CA. We had a great time.
She was sick starting in 2021 and finally passing in January of this year, due to CJD she got from the CoVid "VAX". We tried not to talk politics around her, and Disney was never mentioned so I'm sure her last memories of Disney were great.
I'm not driving from Silicon Valley to Anaheim so I can pay through the nose to be brainwashed by the broke mob.

Doesn’t bother me. I will never go anyway. I doubt this will help Disney much. They have alienated the middle class grandparents and parents so much that they have lost half their fans. If the gays and wokesters want to pay the outrageous fees, then good for them. Not one dime of mine will go to these perverts.

Lets see. They got woke and people no longer wanted to go there. Because fewer people wanted to go there they had raise the price to get in. But because they raised the price to get in people no longer want to get in. Disney is the poster child for get woke go broke.

I once saw picture of a Russian Amusement park at Chernobyl that was sitting empty and abandoned.
I would be happy to see the two Disney parks sitting the same way.

#17, your story is heartbreaking and I am so sorry for what you must bear now. But I do hope that your precious memories of Disney can forever remain untouched by what that place has devolved into now. Nothing can take that from you and my wish is that you can close your eyes and relive what will always be beautiful.

Went to Walt Disney World several times when the kids were small, and before the Perverts took it over.
Had a good time, although it was kind of pricey even then.
Never going back.

Signs that show Disney's wokeness is causing it to make even more stupid decisions and is headed to the same fate as the dodo bird. Long die Disney.

Sucks to be them. Maybe they shouldn't have gone woke. And raising prices in this economy with other big parks holding firm on their prices, they will continue to see attendance drop as even fewer families can afford a trip to the Mouse House.
