Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY), a former school principal who pulled a fire alarm in the U.S. Capitol complex moments before the House was scheduled to vote on a bill preventing a government shutdown, did so because he thought it would “open the door.” As Breitbart News reported: U.S. Capitol Police and the House Administration Committee, which oversees House operations and Capitol security, are investigating. A photo being circulated by Capitol Police appears to show Bowman pulling the fire alarm, as reported by Punchbowl News. I can't tell you how many times I've done the exact same thing. Whenever I want to leave a room which has a closed door - - I look for a fire alarm to speed my exit. And it's the same thing when I want to cross a busy street. I pull a fire alarm to stop the traffic - - then I walk safely across. I've caused many a chaotic ruckus - - but I've always gotten out of the room and across the street. Good thinking, Jamaal!

School principal? This is chimp-level thinking and this clown is a member of the House. The Capitol Police could not properly arrest one of their own who shot an unarmed US Veteran at point-blank range and they are "investigating" this putz? Might as well arrest Joe's vicious dog. I am tired of affirmative action quality people running this country and that problem goes all the way to the top.

Question: is this the first time Bowman has gone to that "door he was trying to open"? Where does that door lead to? What is on the other side of the door? Why did Bowman want to get through that particular door? Did he give up trying to get to his intended destination when the fire alarm went off? What was his intention when he approached the direction of the door and alarm? Why did he not try the door first before pushing the alarm? How familiar was he with this location?

Are we supposed to think he's stupid? Yet he's in the house of representatives, and was a doctorate in education, and he was a school principal. But despite all of that, he's stupid. And he's black. Normally, we'd think somone with a doctorate, a school principal, and a congressman wouldn't actually be stupid. Yet we're to believe he is. Maybe it's because of his race. Perhaps I'm looking at this as a white man. A white man would know that a fire alarm does not open the door. Mostly because a fire alarm has "fire" written on it. But that's me, becausse I'm white. Blacks on the other hand, perhaps don't know what the word "fire" means. Or that fire alarms are red. Maybe I think he did it intentionally simply because I'm white. If I were black, I'd know that congressman don't know how to read, and are color blind. And although he's had years in school settings with fire alarms, he never ever knew what they were. Typically whites associate something like that as stupid, but that's because we don't understand blacks. To blacks, this is unparalleled brilliance. So what is it? Are blacks stupid? or is this guy lying? Personally, I think this guy is lying.

The lead Republicans have over Democrats when it comes to economic prosperity has reached its largest in 32 years, polling from Gallup showed Tuesday. Fifty-three percent of Americans said the think the GOP is more likely to “do a better job of keeping the country prosperous,” Gallup said. Just 39 percent say they favor Democrats on the issues facing the economy. That 14-point gap is the widest for Republicans since 1991. It is also a significant increase from the 10-point lead Republicans enjoyed a year ago, suggesting that the Biden administration’s efforts to sell the public on the alleged benefits of “Bidenomics” has backfired.

There was a recent article from Newsweek that caught my eye. Entitled “Why Republicans’ War Against Taylor Swift Could Backfire,” it delves into an X (formerly Twitter) spat between The Federalist’s Sean Davis and left-wing activist Victor Shi. In response to an excellent piece by Mark Hemingway detailing the shallowness and vapidity, both technically and spiritually, of Swift’s music, Davis quipped, “Taylor Swift is dumb and her music sucks.” In response, Shi wrote, “Nothing says more about how little Republicans understand Gen Z than them now saying Taylor Swift is “dumb & her music sucks” after she registered more than 35,000 people to vote last week.

Former Vice President Mike Pence slammed House Republicans who led the ouster of former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) during an event at Georgetown University on Tuesday. "Let me say that chaos is never America's friend. And it's never a friend of American families that are struggling," Pence said as the news broke. "And I'm deeply disappointed that a handful of Republicans would partner with all the Democrats in the House of Representatives to oust the speaker of the House. But I expect before the week is out, there'll be more votes on who will be elected speaker of the House."

Kevin McCarthy will not make another run for Speaker of the House after he was ousted from the job in a historic vote on Tuesday sparked by a tumultuous civil war in the Republican Party. He made the announcement to House Republicans on Tuesday evening, a few hours after eight GOP lawmakers joined Democrats to boot him from his leadership spot. House Republicans met behind closed doors on Tuesday night to discuss the fallout from the historic vote that resulted in McCarthy, R-Calif., becoming the first Speaker in the 234-year history of the United States Congress to have his gavel taken away by fellow lawmakers.

The implementation of vaccine mandates at one of the largest institutions in the red state of Texas has raised concerns over the diminishing state of health freedom while a law that would provide Texans with vaccine choice remains stalled by lawmakers. The Baylor College of Medicine (BCM), a medical school and research center in Houston, Texas, announced last week that it will mandate the latest COVID booster shot for its students, faculty, and employees. “An updated Covid vaccine has been approved by the FDA and is now available," the Sept. 28 statement from the school reads.

Judge Arthur Engoron rebuked Donald Trump after the former president attacked his clerk in a social media post on Tuesday and forbade the parties from making any future comments about his staff. “This morning one of the defendants posted on (a) social media account a disparaging untrue and personally identifying post about a member of my staff. Although I have since ordered the post deleted and apparently it was, it was also emailed out to millions of other recipients,” the judge said in court. “Personal attacks of any member of my court staff are unacceptable, inappropriate and I will not tolerate them,” the judge said.
