Another classic cartoon character is set to be overhauled to fit the modern “woke” times with the tale of Disney’s beloved deer Bambi next up on the chopping block.
In the new and improved version, a critical plot element, the death of the young Bambi’s beloved mother who is shot and killed by a human hunter, could be left out so as to not risk offending the delicate sensitivities of modern audiences.
Writer Lindsey Anderson Beer who is working on the script for the live-action remake of the 1942 big-screen animated film said that today’s more “sensitive” generation could have difficulty dealing with that particular element of the original

Disney is too far gone to come up with any new ideas that aren't massive woke disasters and cost them millions of dollars in losses.
So they try to remake old classics, but turn them into massive woke disasters too that also lose millions of dollars.
You would think at least one person in the Disney organization might get the hint that it's the woke garbage that is destroying their company. But, instead of buying a clue, they all just think they haven't gotten woke enough.
However, to all of us sane folks, the sooner they die, the better!!!

It was always a propaganda story, anti-hunting. Does were NOT hunted, this was a lie. I never liked Bambi because even as a small child I knew that they were being manipulative.

Do you remember how easily celluloid used to burn?. (Think Cinema Paradiso.) I hope they've made it smokeless by now. I remember what that lisbo at Disneyworld said about going after our kids.

I bet Bambi is now black, and will discover his gayness too.

The horribly woke Diss'n'me is all part of the plan to destroy our culture and heritage, on the way to total control. Don't worry kids! You won't have to grow up and make your way in the world. You won't even have to think for yourselves. Dear Leader and the blessed State will see to ALL your needs...as they see them.

Hang on to your old Disney DVDs and think fondly about THAT Disney. The Disney of your youth.
Don't give ANY of your money to TODAY'S DISNEY.

Disney has to include more genders and blame the forest fire on global warming and fossil fuels.

So they're no longer going to have Bambi's young mother killed by a hunter? I would think that would be a natural for a woke movie, only this time it would be a White Supremacist with an assault rifle.

Thankfully, #4, Bambi is created by an artist using animation software. They would be looking worldwide to find a black deer. Black bears, on the other hand, run through my yard all the time. As for the hunter, people who think shooting animals is cruel have never been to a stockyard in Chicago to see where their steaks come from.

The new bambi's mother will die in childbirth when she could have been saved by an abortion.

What are they going to do? Have Rachel Zegler voice act as Bambi. That way she can go on promos and say that the hunter who killed the mother deer was a stalker. Just like she did promoting Snow White. Disney has long been on the list of companies I will not bother spending my money on.

This is the most pertinent word in the article to describe what the modern Disney is doing to virtually EVERYTHING they touch, especially time-honor traditions of the past:
"...DESECRATE..."
Not only have the ruined the classic Disney movies and continue to do so remaking them, they RUINED Star Wars.... there are so many alternate stories going around from the creative mind of Filoni (mostly great additions) but the classic genre is being destroyed.

Honestly the original did hunters no favors. They came through the forest shooting at everything like they just wanted to kill something. I remember as a young child being upset at Bambis mom dying then thinking wth when I watched it with my own young kids.

Another medium? These revisionists may soon decide to cancel all music. The other day I was driving somewhere listening to my Golden Oldies and "Where the Boys Are" came on. It dawned on me that all Boomer music could be subject to immediate cancellation and we'll truly have The Sound of Silence.

If you read the original book first you would not recognize the Disney version as the same story.
From the wiki:
"Bambi, a Life in the Woods (German title: Bambi: Eine Lebensgeschichte aus dem Walde) is a 1923 Austrian coming-of-age novel written by Felix Salten, and originally published in Berlin by Ullstein Verlag. The novel traces the life of Bambi, a male roe deer, from his birth through childhood, the loss of his mother, the finding of a mate, the lessons he learns from his father, and the experience he gains about the dangers posed by human hunters in the forest. It is also, in its most complete translation, seen as a parable of the dangers and persecution faced by Jews in Europe."

Disney is hopeless. Why can't they leave the classics alone and go ruin some other medium??!!
