The Republican debate took a bizarre turn Wednesday as former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and former Vice President Mike Pence traded comments about "sleeping" with teachers. The comments were made during a segment that focused on education policy in the United States, with Christie criticizing teachers unions for controlling public education. "The public school system is no longer run by the public. It is run by the teachers unions," Christie said. "They're taking the worst of their members and defending them rather than advocating for our kids. And when you have the president of the United States sleeping with a member of the teachers union,

Flabious Porcinius doth speaketh too much. Who cares what he nor Fly Boy think nor that FB sleeps with a teacher. We all know the Teachers Unions are one of the financial arms of the Deep State. The Teachers Unions are also the indoctrination arm of the Deep State. What neither one of them stated is what are they going to do to lessen the impact of the Teachers Unions. FB and FP are both Deep Staters, so they have to be careful about their stance against one of the arms of the Deep State. Don't trust neither FB nor FP to harm the Deep State.

Christie should be sleeping with the fishes but they can't find a pond big enough to dump him in. Pence isn't even allowed to have lunch with a female teacher unless it's in the school cafeteria. Is this the best the RNC can do to demonstrate their hatred of Donald Trump?

These debates are irrelevant - just programming venues for Fox. The contenders are Trump, DeSantis and Youngkin. The others are just on ego/fundraising trips.

The last thing the networks or any candidates wants is a serious discussion about serious issues. Not that education isn't a serious issue. It is. Our candidates managed to trivialize it.

Army Gen. Mark Milley delivered a full-throated defense of democracy and not-so-subtle swipes at former President Donald Trump during a packed ceremony on Friday as he closed out his four, often tumultuous years as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Under cloudy skies at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, Milley never mentioned the former president by name. But he practically shouted on two different occasions that the U.S. military swears to protect the Constitution 'against ALL enemies, foreign AND domestic.' 'We don't take an oath to a king or a queen or to a tyrant or a dictator. And we don't take an oath to a wannabe dictator,' he said.

Anaheim, Calif.—Donald Trump will make a personal pitch Friday to California Republicans in a bid to solidify his support in a GOP presidential contest he has dominated for months, while Ron DeSantis and other rivals get another chance to break the front-runner’s momentum with time fast vanishing to reorder the race.Trump’s afternoon speech at a state Republican Party convention in Anaheim comes two days after he bypassed the second GOP debate held at Ronald Reagan's presidential library northwest of Los Angeles, signaling again that he sees no need to appear side-by-side with lesser-known contenders.

The Wall Street Journal published an interactive Biden family tree map on Friday, highlighting the alleged influence peddling scheme of “how Joe Biden’s kin profited off the family name” with the use of the “big guy” alias. Frank Biden, President Joe Biden’s youngest brother, was “hired by the Illinois-based industrial manufacturing firm Federal Signal Corp. to help connect the company with Florida lawmakers,” the Journal reported. “During a weekly call, Frank Biden, 69 years old, would frequently interrupt the meeting and say he had to take a call from ‘the Big Guy,’ as he put it.”

The United States House of Representatives has approved an additional $300 million aid for Ukraine. The decision came late Thursday night with a 311-117 vote. The aid for Ukraine was initially part of a larger Pentagon funding bill for the fiscal year 2024. House GOP leaders, including Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), had initially planned to hold a separate vote on the Ukraine aid. The decision to separate the aid came after Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) and a group of conservative Republicans sank a procedural vote to advance the Pentagon funding bill, The Hill reported.

Higher gasoline prices forced Americans to spend more in August and pushed up the Federal Reserve’s main measure of inflation, providing more evidence that the path to lower inflation is unlikely to be a smooth one. The personal consumption expenditure price index, which the Fed uses in its official inflation target of two percent and the publicly released projections of policymakers, rose by 0.4 percent, twice the pace of the prior month. The increase was in line with economist expectations. Higher energy costs were the driver of inflation in August. Core prices, which exclude food and energy, rose by a more moderate 0.1 percent in August.

New York Democrats are planning to distribute flyers at the US-Mexico border telling illegals to “consider another city.” On Wednesday, Mayor Eric Adam’s office announced this plan to “combat misinformation at the border.” The flyers will be in both Spanish and English and will warn the illegals that New York City is the most expensive city in the world so they will be better off somewhere else. How interesting that a sanctuary city run by Democrats who have been all for illegal immigration is now troubled by the flood of illegal aliens.
