Jackson, Wyoming – Joe Biden boasted two years ago that the CEO of a major electric bus manufacturer was making him “look good” and federal dollars poured into the company. Now those words have come back to haunt him as an entire town’s electric bus fleet backed by the company broke down.
The Cowboy State Daily reported Tuesday that Teton County and the town of Jackson wanted a low-emission transit system for the county. The Southern Teton Area Rapid Transit (START) system, a joint operation between Jackson and Teton County, had bought eight electric buses to complement its fleet of 31.

Having actually built a hybrid electric bus from a prototype electric city bus in 1975, after buying the prototype bus from a failed electric bus company.....I'd have never even considered purchasing electric buses.
Stupid, stupid, stupid idea. Won't work, won't be cost effective and one of the most important things about selecting a supplier for a piece of equipment that is expected to function for decades is ....how long has the company been in business? How long does look it will continue to be in business?
Did I mention that this was a stupid idea in the first place?

#10 on the guffaw scale!
I can hear the Queen of School Buses, Harris herself, waxing silly as she rhapsodizes on how much she loves school buses, especially those yellow ones.
In cold climates, hilly, snowy often or icey, these vehicles, untested, unsafe, are extravagantly expensive for the Taxpayers (do we really have to reimburse Democrats' bundlers and donors?). In short, the plan is really stupid. Which is probably why Harris is so allured by them. (I do think there is something askew in that noggin of hers.)
The important thing is to have safe and reliable transportation for school children. Maintain the vehicles, good tires, and keep the tanks full. Then the wheels of the bus will go 'round and 'round.

BTDT on the day of the big rollout, every bus was stranded, every vehicle was stuck in the road.

I'll believe in electrical vehicles when Air Force 1-EV get delivered. I smile just thinking of it. We can't even afford the fuel for the fleet we already have.

Jackson has been taken over by a bunch of out of state liberal fools. The real people of Wyoming have been laughing at them for years.

Too funny. EVs are useless especially in cold winter climates.

It's really hard to run an electric bus without being able to plug it in halfway through its route. Many moons ago, there were electric trolley buses that carried passengers, as those ran by being coupled to overhead wires, and were restricted by the overhead wires. To rely upon electric buses and not be able to get parts is a real "Green" bumber. So Jackson Wyoming's START is up Shite's Creek without power. The irony is so sweet.

Whaaaat! The electric vehicles lost power when temperatures dropped? Who would have ever thought that could happen. Oh well, all they need to do is buy twice and many EV buses so that half can charge while the others operate. Interesting the article did not say what parts the broken buses were needing.

So true, #8. Every time I see super lefties Harrison Ford latest interviews on how he only wants to be HOME at his ranch, I have to laugh. Yes Harrison dear you LIVE in a red red state with outstanding tax rates so you can keep your hard-earned money! Yet you and Calista probably vote Democrat anyway.

But the Dem donor who owned the "electric bus" company is still doing pretty well.
