Former President Donald Trump routinely overstated his personal net worth to financial institutions by as much as $2.2 billion one year, or 38.5%, New York Attorney General Letitia James' office alleged in a filing Wednesday. The figures, tucked into a 100-page motion for partial summary judgment, are the latest details in the sweeping $250 million civil lawsuit James brought against Trump, some of his eldest children and the Trump Organization last year. The lawsuit alleges efforts spanning 10 years to inflate Trump's personal net worth to attract favorable loan agreements. In court papers filed Wednesday in state Supreme Court, prosecutors asked the court to rule in favor

Okay. So, Trump got a loan from a bank. The bank had the responsibility to ensure that Trump’s collateral was what he said it was. Trump got the money, and paid (or is paying) it back; if he hadn’t, we’d know about it. It’s none of the attorney general’s business. it’s between Trump and the bank. This should be dismissed.

Did he get the loans? Did he pay off the loans? Did the Lenders complain...about ANYTHING? Even during the massive market and real estate crashes, Trump paid off his loans, Refi'd some yes...but didn't just walk away and write them off as MANY people did, The Banks and lenders were/are still happy.. Hyatt/Marriott and others just screwed their lenders, stopped payments, gave notice that they would not re-fi, handed over the buildings...just last month, leaving the Banks holding Hotel property than do NOT want, and because SF is such a Sh*te-hole, no one else does either. NYC was like that, and is getting that way again. His DC Hotel was a money pit, owned by the federal Govt, former national Post office, swalloed Tax dollars by the bushell for decades...He bid on and WON a contract on leasing it...remodeled and marketed it out of his OWN pocket...made it an instant success, and an attraction, made BIG Money,...BUT...The City and Federal Govts made even MORE.

Give it up Letitia. Your little attempt at smearing Trump is going to prove once and for all time publicly that Trump followed all IRS requirements when he filed. As he himself said in 2016, 'Democrats wrote the rules he followed during the 46 straight years they controlled the House'. This also tells me that Letitia and Bragg have nothing valid or relevant with which to LEGALLY charge him with.

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R) stood by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and dismissed Republican calls to impeach Willis over her 41-count indictment against former President Donald Trump and 18 others. Kemp dismissed calls to impeach Willis as “political theater” during a press conference on Thursday. In mid-August, Georgia state Sen. Colton Moore (R) announced an initiative to begin an emergency session to investigate Willis, as Breitbart News exclusively reported. “As a Georgia State Senator, I am officially calling for an emergency session to review the actions of Fani Willis,” Moore said. “America is under attack.

Former President Donald Trump’s criminal trial in Fulton County, Georgia, will be televised and live-streamed on the internet, Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee announced Thursday. McAfee will also allow reporters to use their computers and cell phones inside the courtroom so long as they are not used to record the trial. McAfee’s announcement is aligned with Fulton County policy that broadcasts judicial proceedings on its YouTube channel. No trial date has been set in Trump’s Georgia case. Georgia’s rules are the opposite of those in New York and the federal court system, where Trump faces three other criminal cases. Cameras are not permitted

A Texas law banning transgender care for minors will go into effect on Friday, now that the state Supreme Court has lifted a temporary injunction issued by a lower court. Last week, a Texas district judge ruled that the law banning the medical transition of minors violated the rights of transgender children, as well as the alleged rights of doctors who follow “well-established, evidence-based” medical guidelines. After the judge issued the temporary injunction, Texas officials immediately appealed to the state Supreme Court, the highest court for civil cases in the state. The order from the Supreme Court lifting the injunction provided no further explanation as to the constitutional reasoning behind

A policy that determines when people can be charged with low-level drug offenses in Harris County has once again been altered, according to an internal memo from the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. In April, the DA’s office implemented a policy that placed the responsibility for drug testing for suspected narcotics weighing less than four grams on law enforcement before they could file a possession charge with the county. Now, as of August 27, the policy has largely been reversed due to the “increasing public safety threat of fentanyl,” according to the DA’s office. “Fentanyl, by itself and mixed with other controlled substances, appears to be a component

ATLANTA — Former President Donald Trump on Thursday entered a plea of not guilty in the Georgia criminal case accusing him of racketeering and conspiracy in connection with the effort to overturn the 2020 election, according to court documents. Trump’s lawyers submitted the plea in writing and notified the court that he will not appear in person for the scheduled arraignment next week, which is allowed under Georgia law. The former president said in the court filing Thursday that he had discussed the charges in the indictment with his attorney, "and I fully understand the nature of the offenses charged and my right to appear at arraignment."
