On Tuesday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Ingraham Angle,” 2024 Republican presidential candidate Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis stated that the question in the wake of the indictments of his 2024 rival, former President Donald Trump is how we’ll respond and end weaponized government. DeSantis said that while he has removed Soros-backed prosecutors in Florida, Trump “had three years to fire Christopher Wray” and didn’t, let former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton “off the hook.” And “The swamp got worse in his four years.”

Strange how President Trump was a Party of One during his presidency but now
everyone piles on how he did or didn't do this or that!

Joe Biden has had almost three years to fire Christopher Wray but why would he, the FBI works for the democrat party. Maybe Wray's logical replacements are even worse.

The difference was DeSantis had an administration and state congress that had his back. Trump's inherited administration and the RINO's in congress repeatedly stabbed him in the back. It's nothing but a miracle that he accomplished as much as he did.

The fact that President Trump was, is, and likely always will be a "Party of One" is his fatal flaw. Flame me all you want. You know, and I know, and everyone knows this is true. I voted for him (twice) and I'd vote for him again if he's our candidate, but it's wishful thinking to believe he will change how he operates. His inability to find and surround himself with quality, loyal people to clean out the swamp and run the country does not portend well for the outcome even if he successfully overcomes the malicious prosecutions he faces.

Ron, firing one prosecutor does not elevate you to Deep State Destroyer. Why only one Ron?
Pointing out others’ mistakes- which may have been unavoidable- does not make you a Deep State Warrior.
But agreeing with the Deep State that they were right to get Trump makes you unacceptable. You want rid of Trump, they want rid of Trump.
Your priority should be the means they are using. It seems “Trump’s loss, my gain” is your guiding principle.

As a strong Trump supporter I must say DeSantis is spot on. Christy pushed for Wray and everything went bad for Trump who should have stopped it

The GOP is full of child-like adults. Very tiresome. When you rely on the same people to fix the problems that created the problems, well, you are living in a make believe world. Heck, the GOP can't even get rid of Kevin or Mitch, let alone demon possessed Libs.

I’m beginning to think DeSantis was/is using the conservatism of the Florida legislators as his conservative bona fides. He could not have accomplished what was accomplished in Florida without them.
His actions prove that he obviously had plans to use Florida as a stepping stone to the WH. He heeled immediately to the order of his benefactor to moderate to his benefactor’s commands. He appears to go along to get along in order to achieve his goals.
The only other alternative is that he has foolishly swallowed the lie that “conservative” has the same meaning among his advisers and benefactors as it does among WE the people. Determined or Duped. It isn’t good for America.

DeSantis, as usual, is entirely right. Trump failed in “draining the swamp.” There are valid reasons why he failed.
First, he didn’t know how deep, vile and pervasive it is. Few outside the swamp knew. When he took office his primary goal was to unleash the economy, which he did spectacularly.
Second, Trump, since he had won the election against all odds, bringing in new voters to the GOP, and took office with Republican control of the legislature, believed he had the support of Congress to enact his agenda. How could he have known that Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell would work against him from day one?
Third, personnel is everything and Trump, an amateur, was given terrible advice by DC Republicans on whom to pick for the vital people needed to fulfill his promises.
Trump was ill served by Republicans and put on the perpetual indictment/impeachment path engineered by the swamp. It is a testament to his strength and good character that, despite the undermining by the corrupt Republicans and swamp, his administration was successful.
He now understands the lousy system. He won’t be fooled and will finally drain the swamp.

I don't think these two should be fighting. The enemies of us all are Democrats not someone who did 90% of what you wanted/needed and missed a bit.
With that said, from a 2023 point of view, YES he should have gone after Hillary. And he did have staffing issues. But no wars? Energy independence? Employment? And how about keeping inflation under control with increases in production and productivity? Can't bi... complain about that.

DeSantis is turning into a craven and rather desperate little cretin. He's merely a whisker ahead of Pence on the betrayal meter. DeSantis inspires and motivates no one. His blathering reveal a Deep State Bush NeoCon operative who thinks he's far more clever than he actually is. Should have waited till 2028; now he's shot his bolt and folks will remember how lousy a candidate he truly is and will reject him accordingly.

It's easy to armchair quarterback, Ron. But knowing your donor base and your desire to keep them happy, I'm fairly certain on your first day you WON'T be firing Chris Wray, cleaning out the DOJ or getting rid of even a smidgen of the Swamp. You'll be directed to "moderate" your governing style by those with the big bucks. I don't see in you a real desire to end the swamp, I do see someone who's more likely to form an alliance with them, uneasy as it might be. Go along to get along will be the RDS mantra.

If RD can't get the job as president, he can always find a job sticking sticks into cooked eggs, like he did at the Iowa State Fair. You could tell he is not really a politician. People came up to get the eggs and he didn't even look at them or try to tell them why he would make a good president. He just kept sticking sticks in the bottoms of the eggs. Go home, Ron. Your state needs you badly.

Gov. Ron is a LITTLE man. He asked Ingraham to be on her show and then proceeded to take the opportunity to shots at President Trump on the very day Trump was indicted for the 4th TIME! What a nasty, petty little man!
And Ron's relationship with Georgia's Kemp. Two Trump haters coming together to plot against the Republican favorite. It ain't going to work boys. Give it up. Are the conservative Georgians seeing through Kemp's nastiness for President Trump? Hope so.

“DeSantis, as usual, is entirely right.”
Entirely Right? As Usual?
Not lately, at least. I’m beginning to have questions about just how right he, personally, has ever been considering the wrong & seemingly “perpetual path” he is on currently. First speaking strongly for right, then backing off into ambiguity, & leaving doubts about his actual stance, has become his “usual” lately.
Donald Trump may have unknowingly taken bad advice regarding staffing issues, but he didn’t compromise his loyalty to the country. He exposed his most egregious “flaws” by calling change agents out in those “terrible”, “childishly immature” “mean tweets”.
Looks like his detractors are right about the fact that he’s never going to change. He’s just as loyal to this country and to WE the people as ever despite the sacrifice. He never backs down regardless of how many of his “flaws” are exposed in our defense. God bless him!

Even though DeSantis is backed by the RINOs, the swamp will try to destroy him, too. The left despises anyone with an 'R' behind their name, and the RINOs don't fight back. Pres. Trump was the first and only to really fight - that's why he's my choice in 2024. Maybe DeSantis can learn to emulate him by 2028.

Is what DeSantis said true? Could he drain a lot of the swamp? I say yes to both questions. The thing I don’t get is who are the swamp critters telling DeSantis what to do. Trump seems to love anyone who tells him how great he is, like pretty boy Newsom. Newsom could end up running against our nominee. Do you believe Trump can beat him? Do you believe Trump is increasing his base? Sorry, but my answer is no. Can Trump even beat Biden? If so, tell me how.

note to Ron DeSantis: you're digging a hole for yourself that you will never, ever dig out of, at least, not in your lifetime
Suggestion: shut your mouth, go back to governing Florida, stop listening to the bushes, the roves and the rest of the yellow spined republicans who only want larger government and they will, like the demcommies, shove you to the back wall and you will never have a seat at the table ----- ever!!
