In Chicago, another sign of the Catholic
Church’s decline

I’m not a Catholic, but I have an abiding respect for Catholicism’s role in bringing down the paganism that dominated Europe before the Church took over. At least one Catholic cardinal, though, seems to have forgotten that time. How else can we explain Cardinal Blase Cupich’s decision to participate in a Wiccan-organized conference to “enrich” his faith? Before the Jews, the world was entirely pagan. People across the known world worshipped a panoply of gods tied to the visible and invisible phenomena of the earth. The gods didn’t provide an overarching morality.

What a bunch of carp. I know you have to keep your people scared in order to keep the pews full and the money rolling in, but this is just silly. The term Pagan covers pretty much every religion that isn't one of the mainstream ones. To identify as a Pagan doesn't say much without further explanation. Some Pagans do not follow any established path, they create their own. As for Wiccans, contrary to the article they do have a very strong moral code. It isn't identical to the Catholic code but there are similarities. In my 30 years of being a Wiccan I have never been invited to an orgy, nor have I met a pedophile. If you need to hate someone just to keep your group cohesive, there are better choices.

The Catholics simply replaced one sort of paganism with their own variety of do-do this and dont do that with adopting many of the pagan symbols and teaching to worship the mother and the saints instead of Jesus. Begging forgiveness from the 'saints' to help them out and other false idol worship. The druids did not take much teaching or convincing to recognize Christ when they were subjected to the true message of Jesus. They had already been taught by Jesus when he was a teenager traveling with his rich, politically connected uncle Joseph of Arimathea. Jesus built a small hut in Glastonbury and lived there quite a bit on their travels. That plot of land became Avalon. After the Death and Resurrection of Christ and the continuing persecution of the new 'christian following or The Way' by Roman leaders and Jewish religious leaders, Joseph, Mary (mother), Mary Madeline, and other disciples went to France, Spain, and finally England where Joseph was responsible for building the first Church above ground. And it was built very close to the hut Jesus built. That place is the resting place of His Mother. That church was welcomed by the druids and was not damaged by them one bit. Joseph became the Apostle to Britain anointed by Paul. that above ground church was strongly connected to the church found in Rome by Paul and royalty from Britain who were under house arrest there at the 'British Palace'. Read the book 'The Drama of the Lost Disciples' by George Jowett.

Bash the church all you want. There is a hierarchy like most governments and not every congregant is on board from top to bottom. My church is rather independent. The message during Mass is pretty clear. We have just as many odd ducks as any other church. I've met some priest and nuns who have been wonderful educators ; even though some of the shepherds have had questionable characters. If anyone can name me one religion that is 100% correct or even close, I'd like to hear about it. Our faith has us all on a journey. The Almighty knows what's in my heart. That includes Jewish congregants who don't believe that The Word Became Flesh.

My view of the Catholic Church is that it is doing everything possible to facilitate the illegal immigration invasion of the USA. They realize it’s better to be tithed from a $35k/ year income in the US than a $450/year income in El Salvador.

Cardinal Cupich's god is Cardinal Cupich. "Who is going to save our Church? Not our bishops, not our priests and religious. It is up to you, the people. You have the minds, the eyes, the ears to save the Church. Your missions is to see that your priests act like priests, your bishops like bishops, and your religious act like religious." Fulton Sheen

The movie Sound of Freedom has given Hollywood a major wake-up call as the small-scale production beat blockbusters like Mission: Impossible and Indiana Jones at the summer box office. Despite claims of "audience suppression" and years of uncertainty surrounding its release, Sound of Freedom has dramatically exceeded expectations, taking in almost $175 million at the box office. One industry expert believes Sound of Freedom's success can be attributed to "the forgotten viewers" who came out in force to support the movie.

GOP megadonors are privately courting popular Republican Govs. Glenn Youngkin of Virginia and Brian Kemp of Georgia to challenge former President Donald Trump in 2024, Axios reported Saturday. As Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has struggled to gain traction in the polls against the former president, the Republican contributors are seeking other potential alternatives to jump in last minute, according to Axios. Though Youngkin and Kemp have both previously ruled out a 2024 bid, several sources told the outlet they’re keeping the door open as top donors reach out. “People are desperate. How monotonously alike all the great tyrants and conquerors have been: how gloriously different are the saints,” wrote C.S. Lewis. In a recent piece also published in The American Spectator, Mr. Isaac Willour writes against what he calls “integralism,” or in other words, a political system motivated by Catholic political thought. Mr. Willour criticizes this system as not only unrealistic, but ultimately a form of despair. Let’s start from the beginning and tackle these claims one by one. In full disclosure, I am the co-founder and editor-in-chief of The American Postliberal, a magazine of Catholic Political Realism that launched earlier this year, and something Mr. Willour also addresses.

Either they will tell us this is normal or it’s due to “climate change.” But in reality it is neither. It has to do with sudden cardiac arrest that has been ubiquitous among young, healthy people from segments of the population that happened to have gotten a heart-inflaming gene serum beginning right around early 2021. We were hoping as the vaccines die down that the sudden deaths would abate, but now there are concerns that this is a long-term phenomenon. Last year's report also accused the NEA and AFT of lobbying for abortion.

In their 1999 book Unrestricted Warfare, Chinese colonels Qiao Liang and Wang Xiangsui posited that the battlefields of the future would be "virtually infinite." Much of the fighting, they said, would be done without fighting: using ideological infiltration and propaganda to craft a narrative, the Chinese brand of communism could be made to find acceptance in the world of the free market and individual rights, ultimately causing the latter's collapse. Expectedly, the chief target of this "smokeless war" is the U.S. How alarmingly successful the Chinese have been has been brought home by a recent New York Times exposé of the activities of Marxist millionaire Neville Roy Singham.

Imagine a young, bright-eyed journalism student, envisioning a future as a crusading force for truth, justice, and holding the powerful accountable. You idolize journalistic giants like Woodward and Bernstein, Upton Sinclair, H. L. Mencken, and Seymour Hersh - reporters who fearlessly exposed corruption and deceit, often putting their careers on the line to do so. Yet, somewhere along the way, this passionate dreamer finds himself in a perplexing situation: that he is now part of the mainstream political reporting machinery, promoting narratives designed not to expose the truth, but to obfuscate and deceive. So, how do these once-aspiring journalistic heroes live with themselves?

Never in the 235 years since the ratification of the Constitution has an administration premeditatively and blatantly prosecuted, on specious and conjecturable charges, the titular leader of the opposition party and leading candidate for president. And doing so while overtly flaunting their egregious actions to protect and cover-up for the incumbent president who has been exposed as potentially complicit in massive bribery and fraud. In any previous election cycle, these overt and unabashed actions would have been the death knell for the incumbent president’s campaign and his party.

As many as 1000 persons, many of them children, may have died as a result of the fire in Maui. The exact toll -- above the hundreds documented -- is difficult to assess right now as the bodies are charred beyond recognition and scientific equipment to test the remains are not readily available, but the tragedy -- naturally and without basis -- is being blamed on "climate change” in many of the media accounts.
