Does anyone have an upper bound on the number of times we will be told: We cannot comment on an ongoing investigation. An in the pocket ambulance chaser for Quid Pro Joe, Snorter, and the DNC can now slow walk or slow crawl an investigation into the Crime Team of Sniffer and Snorter. More Crime by the Swamp.

Special Counsel Chairman Comer, guess that means no more records for you! Also, you can forget about any subpoenas for the Biden family. U.S. Attorney David Weiss has been named special counsel, the same guy who tried to slip Hunter Biden’s immunity deal past Judge Noreika. Expect Weiss to suck up every bit of evidence then sit on until 2026 where he signs the same sweetheart deal over again. The Republicans will express their outrage and do nothing and the Democrats will laugh and laugh.

A positive step but it will effectively take the Hunter Biden scandal off the table for 2 years and allow the statue of limitations to run out on many offenses. FJB will be long gone from the scene before the full nature of his bribery is known.

Mainly it's been FJB incriminating news, oh look, a squirrel, or in this case Trump "criminal activity". It's been t*t for tat strategy. Biden Crime Family news vs Trump news. So they went big , or so they thought. Hunter investigation which will last for years and push all Biden Crime Family news off the page. Sorry, we can't talk about it, investigation you know. But there will be more Trump coming down the pike vs "we can't talk about it" Biden crap. They think they have put up a stonewall. Keep plowing ahead Jim Comer.

That's how Democrats roll, they find ways to put this into a process that will be controlled by them, and will now prevent the Republicans (likely never really wanted to do actual subpoenas) from following through on their investigation.

This is a sham special counsel appointment, as Weiss is the same high ranking Biden Justice Department official who gave the government OK to Hunter Biden’s sweetheart plea deal a couple of weeks ago. It was no doubt made to protect the Biden’s and to sabotage the Republican controlled Congressional Committee investigation of the Biden’s that is now underway and delay any legitimate investigation of the Biden’s until after the 2024 election or until Biden leaves office and has pardoned everyone involved in the Biden criminal conspiracy. Chances are Weiss was not eligible to be appointed as a Special Counsel from the get go because he is employed by the Biden Justice Department and by federal regulation special counsels are supposed to be appointed from outside the federal government. Let’s see what the wimpy Republicans do and say about all that. The Fox News Channel keeps claiming that Weiss was appointed as the US Attorney for Delaware by Trump. But today that does not mean anything, as before Trump nominated Weiss he was recommended to Trump by the two liberal Democrat US Senators from Delaware who are closely connected to Biden politically, and before Trump took office Weiss had already been appointed as the Acting US Attorney for Delaware during the Obama-Biden Administration years. If Trump had not followed the recommendations of the two liberal Democrat US Senators from Delaware to nominate Weiss, there is no way that the Democrat controlled US Senate would have confirmed a Trump nomination for that high level job, as you can bet that Biden would not have allowed any real Republican candidate who could conduct any legitimate criminal investigation targeting him and his bag man Hunter to be placed in that Delaware U.S. Attorney position.

In what was obviously meant to be a Friday news dump, AG Merrick Garland appointed David Weiss as special counsel over the Hunter Biden probe. According to the DOJ, Weiss requested the elevation and will now use it to charge the president’s son in other districts. That led to a lot of different questions. Was the move meant to get a plea agreement in front of a more friendly judge in Washington, D.C.? That seems incredibly likely given how hard Weiss tried to hand Hunter Biden a sweetheart deal in Delaware. Then there’s the House investigation into the Bidens to consider. Would this make it more difficult to force

Attorney General Merrick Garland announcement the appointment of United States Attorney David Weiss as special counsel in the investigation of Hunter Biden yesterday. The Department of Justice has posted Garland’s statement here. Why Weiss? That is a difficult question to answer honestly in public. Indeed, Garland took no questions — ignoring a reporter who asked why Weiss had been elevated to special counsel if he had “ultimate authority” to prosecute, as Garland claimed in sworn congressional testimony earlier this year. Weiss is special. On that we can agree:
