ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Former President Donald Trump’s Atlanta attorneys are making yet another attempt to disqualify Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis from further investigations into his alleged 2020 election meddling in Georgia. On Thursday, Trump’s attorneys filed a motion in Fulton County Superior Court, arguing Willis should be disqualified from her investigation because she allegedly is using the case to raise re-election funds. “She has personally inserted herself into Twitter campaigns requesting donations and followers while referencing her prosecution of this case,” the filing said. “What’s more, she retweeted a political cartoon depicting Petitioner in a negative light.

Perhaps a countersuit for "malicious prosecution" would be in order?

Isn’t that the way it has always been done? Politicians create a crisis so they have a Mandate. Look at all the unnecessary crp that has been done to us, look at all the things being said. Things we don’t normally think about. When have these things become that important to us. They don’t solve real problems. They create problems with their solutions, for example climate change. I am sick to death of being called a racist when attention is drawn to degenerate and harmful lifestyles. I am tired of being brainwashed.

The former president has refused to commit to the Aug. 23 debate, and he indicated as recently as Sunday that he’s leaning against it. Fans criticized members of the United States Women's Soccer team for not singing the national anthem. AP The US Women’s National Soccer team was victorious in its opening match of the 2023 FIFA World Cup — but they’re not winners to fans left fuming after the most of the athletes stayed silent during the national anthem. Before the reigning women’s World Cup champion team went on to crush newcomer Vietnam 3-0, many of the players stood quietly as the “Star Spangled Banner” blared through New Zealand’s Eden Park arena.

The Senate Judiciary Committee (SJC) did a markup on “ethics” legislation Thursday targeting conservative Supreme Court Justices. While the Democrats managed to pass out of this sick bill out of committee on a party-line vote, they got humiliated by Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) in the process over a simple amendment condemning racism. Kennedy is a straight-shooting national treasure complete with an incisive wit and dry sense of humor. He has displayed these talents throughout his time in the Senate whether by stumping unqualified Biden nominees or in interviews with reporters.

Better sit down before you open your next Con Ed bill: Rates are set to soar, starting next month — and double over the next two years. If you’re a progressive, you can’t complain. What did you think would happen, based on your anti-fossil-fuel, big-spending, anti-business agenda? On Thursday, the state’s Public Service Commission OK’d hikes of 9.1% for electricity and 8.4% for gas, starting in August, along with additional jumps though 2025. At that point, typical bills will have doubled, from about $70 a month to $140 — or an extra $840 a year. A whining letter from the City Council demanded that Gov.

Jennifer Rubin wrote a column in the Washington Post, absurdly claiming that Florida was so badly run and so "cruel" its residents were fleeing, basing her entire article on this errant premise, and forcing the Washington Post to issue an embarrassing correction. According to Fox News: Rubin published the column Friday in which she claimed, "DeSantis likes to brag that more people are moving to Florida than ever. Not so fast. ‘An estimated 674,740 people reported that their permanent address changed from Florida to another state in 2021.’" Those numbers are wrong and the Post, in a correction on Saturday, admitting the column "mischaracterized" the stats.
