A Pfizer factory in North Carolina was destroyed by a tornado on Wednesday, leaving 50,000 pallets of medicines strewn across the site in the rain and the roof crumpled and twisted by 150mph winds. Officials in two counties say 16 people were injured - including two with life-threatening wounds- and 89 buildings were damaged as storms passed through North Carolina. The tornado started near Nashville, North Carolina, around 12:35pm and swept northeast through Rocky Mount, 60 miles east of Raleigh, where it devastated the Pfizer facility.
