A Tennessee congressman investigating UFOs claims the crafts appear to 'defy physics as we know it.'
Republican Tim Burchett believes there is no question the objects in the skies are not of this Earth and have abilities to fly underwater and never leave behind heat trails.
Burchett - who is on the House Oversight Committee overseeing UFO hearings - has been shown classified footage not yet released to the public. The congressman told the Event Horizon podcast this week that 'we've been dealing [with government coverups] since 1947, probably since about 1897 in what was the Aurora Texas 'UFO crash.'

I know something about this topic and usually make a comment or observation. I've told the story of my friend at Groom Lake several times. No point in repeating it.

We already have that technology, based on the descriptions I’ve heard of victims of high voltage electrocutions.
We also have the ability to convince others that they’re a different gender and to seek mutilation in the form of sex change surgery. We could weaponize that against aliens, except they probably moved past that long ago and exterminated the perps in their culture.

Humans have the technology to turn
humans into charcoal briquettes, and have had it for thousands of years. You don't need "Welcome to California" Martians to do that.

The Aurora Texas tale is wonderful, and the story was published in the Dallas Morning News. Hard to believe anyone takes it very seriously. There were airship sightings all over the country around that time.
Much better story than the current varieties.

"It's a cookbook ..." has more meaning. Beware of aliens, both the terrestrial and the galactic kind.

Bull-oney. H G Wells wrote "War of the Worlds" in the 1890s and some reporter decided to turn it into a real story. How would anybody know that the Aurora UFO came from Mars? The same with Roswell, the government invented the UFO story, not tried to hide it, to cover up Project Mogul, the high altitude nuclear blast detection system. Yes, something is out there but why is it only the military and government can see it? My guess is high tech drones. We have had drones since Vietnam and there was no mention of them for at least twenty years after that, the normal length of time that new technology is made public. Anybody seeing an SR-71 Blackbird way back then would be shouting "UFO!" all over the place. People with government clearances do not blab to uncleared people that they know something unless they are planting a seed or covering something with another explanation.

There are aliens alright. They are crossing over our non existent border with Mexico. As for the flying saucer crowd, where are they? Our solar system has only one spot capable of supporting life, The Earth. Other star systems? The distance between star systems is HUGE. Believe what you want. I find more credible reports that Elvis has been spotted water skiing on the Mississippi River being towed by the Loch Ness Monster.

Anyone else think our government is trying to create a distraction? What's our government trying to hide? Not saying UFOs don't exist. Just the timing of it is suspicious.

Then why, with the amazing camera technology we have, is every photo of a UFO so blurry you can’t tell what it is?

If "aliens" could do what he claims, why haven't they already done so?
Who is his right mind believes that little green men with the power to destroy us all wouldn't be hovering in their death stars announcing their presence to all?

I’m on the fence about this. We keep assuming that aliens would do this or that by imposing our way of thinking or our technology on them. They might NOT think like we do, might have technology so different from ours that we cannot comprehend it. They might be able to reach our world in mere seconds. We just don’t know, and that’s the scary part, if they really do exist.

#10, hundreds of witnesses would respectfully disagree with your assessment of Roswell. There are numerous, credible books on the event. I actually had the pleasure of meeting Glenn Dennis, who was the undertaker that was called by the military at the AF base on the night of the crash to ask about child-sized caskets, and how best to preserve bodies. He rushed to the base thinking a horrific accident had occurred involving children. He was subsequently thrown off the base and told that if he ever breathed a word about what happened, “they would be picking his bones out of the sand.” He was a quiet, unassuming man who had an extraordinary experience, as is the case with nearly all UFO experiencers. I repeat my prediction that this sudden turn about in UFO chatter from the government signals that something is coming.
