Former President Donald Trump ripped into Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds Monday over her decision to stay 'neutral' in the 2024 Republican primary - yet will appear on the campaign trail with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and his wife Casey.
Trump took to Truth social to air his grievances, pointing out how he had endorsed Reynolds during her 2018 gubernatorial run - crediting himself for her ascent - only to have her appear in photo-ops with his political rivals.
Most recently, Reynolds tagged along Thursday when Casey DeSantis launched her 'Mamas for DeSantis' group outside of Des Moines, amid reports that the Iowa governor is over Trump.
Sounds like maybe somebody met the price for her supporting DeSantis. The desperation smells pretty strong right now on the part of the RDS staffers. One thing I do object to is the media attacking Casey DeSantis for various reasons. I guess the attack on Melania in the Utah primary by the PAC of Cruz set a nasty precedent.

Good Trump at the Dairy Queen charming everyone. Bad Trump trashing the female governor of Iowa. The suburban women will love it. By the way, what do governors DeSantis and Reynolds have in common? They both were victorious last time they ran, unlike Trump.

How do you claim to stay neutral and go on a campaign with DeSantis's wife.

Stirring the pot, #2? Trump won his last election, as well. And, who are these “suburban women” you keep on about? The suburban women I know are Trump supporters. Are these suburban New Yorkers? LA suburban women?

Oops.(at # 6).
Trump seems to confuse endorsement or support with ownership. The two are very different. And the past matters little when time moves on and the political sands inexorably shift.
DeSantis is doing all the right things for this stage in the cycle. Trump is being truculent and trying to appeal to anger and nostalgia. That will take him only so far, and not to the nomination.

Reynolds is a great conservative GOP governor, as is DeSantis. I love Trump, but go after policy, Mr. President, and leave personalities alone.
Trump was best US President, ever. And the deep state definitely stole the 2020 election to install imbecile puppet stooge Biden.
We need Trump to win. We also need him to quit personal attacks.

If you state you are going to remain neutral and then you go to a campaign event for one side, then you deserve to be called out on it. I don’t care how conservative or good a Governor Reynolds may be. This is a very contentious time between the two men and Governor Reynolds knew exactly what she was doing.

It is becoming clear that many Republicans do not think Trump can win in 2024, hence the civil war within the party. Classic Republican move - split the vote and hand the election to the Dems.

Reynolds may be considering it, but will find out soon enough that endorsing the losing party is not good for the career.

President Trump values loyalty as many Americans do. Who likes someone who stabs you in the back when donors come calling with flattery, promises and big checks? These DeSantis consultants and donors are betting everything on the democrats ability to put President Trump in jail. What they fail to understand is that these ghouls waiting for the body to be politically buried, is a very bad look. It screams of desperation and disloyalty. When you can’t even see that you are losing ground and have been used as a patsy, voters are not going to flock to you. Why would we when you are the poster boy for the status quo. Casey DeSantis seems to be as enabling as Jill Biden.

Reynolds is just another ungrateful, back-stabbing Republican governor, who owes her election to Trump endorsements and support.
Another such ungrateful GOP governor is Little Ronny DeSantis, who would have lost the FL election to a black, closeted gay drug addict (Gillum)

If we are worried about the opinions of suburban women we might as well run Oprah Winfrey for president. These are the voters that gave us Barack Obama.

I have a feeling Gov Renolds is bored with the Governorship of IA and she was told she was a good VP prospect for DeSantis. I think she best rethink it if that is the case. I like my Govenor, but I don't like the "Neutral" BS. It's Cowardly.
