The Trump Indictment: Irresponsibility Squared

Original Article

Some observations on special counsel Jack Smith's indictment of former President Donald Trump: No. 1: The indictment is valid. It shows Trump, in voluntarily recorded conversation, revealing to onlookers the contents of government documents classified top secret and, in exchanges with his attorneys, refusing to turn over this material and encouraging them and an aide to conceal it from the government. The contention that these were just "personal records," like the transcripts of interviews of Bill Clinton by historian Taylor Branch were ruled to be, seems unpersuasive.

I was reading an article the other day and the comments section had an independent who was talking about Trump supporters being blind sheep. That really has bothered me since. I don’t think I’m a sheep. I’ve tried to be reasonable in my analysis of Trumps troubles. I have to tell you all I can see is vicious, all-consuming hate directed at the man, ever since he had the nerve to defeat the great white harpy Hillary. Oops. A little bit of personal prejudice there. Nevertheless, I see that the level of hate, backstabbing, betrayal, etc, against that man is just astounding. And I think he was a dam good President for four years. But I do acknowledge his flaws, I wish he wasn’t such an egotist. Maybe he’s had to be one to be the business success he’s been, I don’t know and I do love the part of him that makes him such an attack-dog and scrapper. Perhaps those characteristics go hand in hand. But I’ve also seen him do so much self-inflicted damage that just gives his enemies, and my enemies too, so much fodder to attack him with. If what Barone says in this article is true, I’m going to have to rethink my support. This is just stupid. I supported Bush through thick and thin for years until I just couldn’t anymore and I’m not going down that path again. It’s too painful. I guess I’ll just wait and see what comes about. I know our enemies can concoct some pretty intricate crap to throw at Trump. Haven’t we all seen it repeatedly.

Ok first the name calling out of the way. Barone is a Bushie never Trumper with serious TDS . The guy is squaring a circle to fit a narrative. A narrative established from leaks and lies mostly aired on the reliable leftist cable shows and more recently on Fox. These guys never ever give President Trump the due hat tip for the 7 years of out right treason committed against him. All the years of deep state establishment vicious attacks on the man his entire administration and family that came to nothing . Now they just start the same process over again with the same meme and the Barones Andrew McCarthy's of the world leap right on it with their nonsense. MAGA!!!

We should not be shocked at the latest Trump indictment. The democrats have their backs to the wall and a Trump victory in 2024 would be the death of their party and a reversal of everything that Obungles and Joe have done to damage this country. They are desperate and nothing is off the table that can be used against Trump and the conservative army, i.e. MAGA people. Besides Trump persecution, the cheating machine will be working overtime.

Do you ever hear any Democrat start off talking about one of their own by saying something to the effect of: He/she isn't perfect, he/she has flaws, etc. No. So tired of the canard of the Trump has character flaws - as if no one else doesn't?

The Indictment is NOT VALID. The indictment was made in DC where there is 100% certainty that a Republican ham sandwich can be indicted. By DOJ policy and law, the indictment should be in the same venue that the crime was committed and the case will be tried, The Presidential Records Act supersedes the Espionage Act regarding Presidential documents, and Trump's actions were in accordance with the Presidential Records Act. In case of dispute between the former President and the National Archivist, the dispute is to be resolved in CIVIL COURT, not criminal court. There can be NO CRIME. Indicting and trying Donald Trump, a declared candidate for President in the 2024 Elections. is election interference and a direct violation of the Hatch Act. And Michael Barone is either an idiot, or unable to hide his TDS

The article is BS. The Presidential Records Act overrides all laws related to Presidential paper. And it clearly states that the President has TOTAL and COMPLETE authority to "dispose of any records in any manner" or words very close to that. The laws that everyone keeps getting all huffy about apply to every single other person in the USA.....EXCEPT the President. They DO NOT apply.

Iranian president Ebrahim Raisi began a five-day tour of Venezuela, Cuba, and Nicaragua, three Latin American countries governed by authoritarian, anti-Western regimes. Raisi’s three predecessors all visited the region previously, and Iran’s alliances with local authoritarians are not new. But this time, the strategic landscape is different. In 2023, China, Russia, and Iran are all chipping away at what used to be primarily uncontested U.S. influence. Raisi has come to claim Iran’s share in the spoils.

Here’s a hint. This underlying cause is also the fuel of the epidemic of loneliness identified by the US Surgeon General in May. Here too, few of our experts want to just state the obvious. Marriage – at least the growing lack of it – is the underlying cause of both recent stories. The newly published Nationwide Study on Faith and Relationships shows how the collapse of marriage is causing our societally explosive levels of loneliness and isolation. Paradoxically to some, loneliness is not largely an epidemic for the elderly, but for the young. Our study found those never married in their 30s – both men and women

The best move for former President Donald Trump is the most unexpected. Being unpredictable or unconventional was the trait that helped him win the White House in 2016 and would help him today. The baseball pitcher that tips off his pitches eventually gets hit hard, looks terrible, and does not last long in a game against professional hitters. Trump must do something that no one would expect - maybe a change-up pitch after countless fastballs. Trump should be magnanimous and withdraw from the presidential race.

Everyone knows there are budget deficits, except, it seems, the union and the elected officials behind them. The city’s new contract — which gives teachers raises and bonuses of up to 20% and retroactively to 2022 — is particularly rich when taxpaying companies, from local McDonald’s to major corporations such as Morgan Stanley and Meta are making major layoffs. At a $37.5 billion total budget, the city Department of Education spending per student is higher than any other system in the world, let alone country. The public-district schools’ per student spending is $36,000, against the per public-charter-school-student cost of $18,000. Once the smaller-class-size law Gov. Hochul signed is implemented,

"These are serious charges," Pence said. "I can't defend what's been alleged, but the president does deserve to make his defense."

NEW YORK (AP) — To its members, it’s a grassroots army of “joyful warriors” who “don’t co-parent with the government.” To anti-hate researchers, it’s a well-connected extremist group that attacks inclusion in schools. Moms for Liberty didn’t exist during the last presidential campaign, but the Florida-based nonprofit that champions “parental rights” in education has rapidly become a major player for 2024, boosted in part by GOP operatives, politicians and donors.
