Should Christians Declare A State Of Emergency, Too?

Original Article

Less than six months after President Joe Biden signed the Respect for Marriage Act, which codified gay marriages, the Human Rights Campaign declared its first-ever “state of emergency” for “LGBTQ+ people.” Why? Because of a supposed spike in “legislative assaults sweeping state houses this year.” “More than 75 anti-LGBTQ+ bills have been signed into law this year alone, more than doubling last year’s number, which was previously the worst year on record,” the HRC says. But look closely. Almost every single bill on the “assault” list is legislation designed to protect children from the omnipresent and increasingly aggressive “transgender” community.

From the article: “ Just to be clear, we’re not advocating that Christians declare a state of emergency. Declaring something a “state of emergency” is little more than an attempt to cut off debate and characterize the other side of an issue as an enemy.” “…character the other side as an enemy.” Sir; the other side is DEFINITIVELY the enemy!!!

We already have. We at least deserve all of the respect and freedom shown to muslims in this country but apparently that's too much to ask. Maybe we could crash a plane every now and then but that "turn the other cheek" thing is taken literally.

Only one kind of marriage is real: One man marries one woman. It's been that way for thousands of years.

Before we can even have a discussion about differing views of marriage, we need to agree on what "religious beliefs" mean. Because the First Amendment really says the government should recuse itself from ALL arguments over religious beliefs. And governmental recognition of traditional marriage, itself, already conflicted with the Non-Establishment Clause of the First Amendment.

(oy, and I say that as one who believes that marriage is an exclusive, life-long covenant. I steadfastly support only the traditional model of marriage and reject the gender-ideologues' hijacking of the term "marriage" to change its traditional meaning.)

For decades we’ve wondered what causes the Democrats and progressives to ignore facts, flog blatantly false narratives, take irrational policy positions, engage in megaphone politics, censor, bully and project their corruption and bad faith onto their opponents. Could they really be as unbalanced as they appear to be? Turns out they are. At least that’s what the science says. And we know how much the left loves its science. A research paper published in March tells an interesting story. “Understanding left-wing authoritarianism” explores “relations to the dark personality traits,

By now, much of the country has heard or read about the City University of New York law school graduate who was allowed to unspool a spiteful tirade as the school’s commencement speaker. She made a number of vile statements, but her call to “fight against capitalism” stood out to us. She and her fellow travelers know what few casual observers are aware of, that is, an attack on capitalism is an attack on liberty. Condemning capitalism is nothing new in this country. We’ve heard the angry criticisms all of our lives, and they weren’t novel when we were young.

The Durham Report, which faulted the FBI for meddling in the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections by conducting a seriously flawed investigation of alleged “collusion” between the Donald Trump campaign and Russia, shocked many Americans. Now, disappointed and angry with apparent politicization of the FBI, Americans strongly support sweeping changes at the nation’s top law enforcement agency, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows. “As the more complete record now shows, there are specific areas of Crossfire Hurricane (the FBI’s covert

As Donald Trump ramps up his attacks on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, a strange trend is emerging. Most of his attacks are coming from the left. In his speeches, posts on Truth Social, and comments to the press, Trump has been shouting things like: DeSantis wants to cut Social Security and Medicare! DeSantis did a worse job on COVID than New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo! DeSantis’ attack on Disney “is all so unnecessary, a political STUNT!” In one recent post, Trump said that “I strongly defended and backed Ethanol, Ron ‘DeSaster’ has ALWAYS been strongly against Ethanol,
The Debt-Ceiling ‘Crisis’ Might Be

Late Wednesday, the House passed an agreement to raise the debt ceiling in exchange for a few micro changes in spending. But despite all the (wildly exaggerated) warnings about a default, complaints from both sides about the terms of the deal, and what no doubt will be celebrations in the White House for getting a deal done – this fight has always been a sideshow. It’s the debt itself that poses the real and immediate crisis. And this debt ceiling bill does absolutely nothing to address that. In other words, it’s business as usual in Washington, and anyone celebrating this agreement should be run out of town on a rail.

Policymakers inside the Biden administration have repeatedly assured Americans that electric vehicles (EVs) are an unavoidable and essential part of the “net-zero” carbon emissions world that they’re trying to regulate into existence. But despite hefty subsidies and future bans of gasoline-powered cars, Americans aren’t ready to jump on the EV bandwagon, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows. For our most recent online public opinion poll of 1,412 drivers, taken from May 3-5, we asked a straightforward question of consumer intent: “How likely will you consider buying/leasing an electric vehicle for your next car?”

The debt ceiling deal reached by the Republican leadership and the administration is far from perfect in the eyes of anyone who cares about runaway government spending (which is the only government spending we know of). But it appears House Speaker Kevin McCarthy was able to block, at least for a year, the hiring of a field army of IRS soldiers. Like a thousand lawyers at the bottom of the ocean, it’s a good start, though there’s still a long way to go. Among the hundreds of sections in the 99-page bill, No. 251 is “Rescission of certain balances made available to the Internal Revenue Service.” More specifically, the legislation,

Our country has become a conformist society where free expression is rewarded with the swing of a truncheon. We’re on a road that leads to repression, and we are not far from the destination. This nation owes its existence and its never-seen-before prosperity to free thinkers. The founders were men of the enlightenment. They stand in stark contrast to our ruling class of today, a corrupt and depraved cabal of politicians, state media, institutional leaders, militant activists and corporate executives that is hurtling us into an era of darkness. In the 2020s, the only “truth” is what the narrative, invariably fabricated

Sen. Bernie Sanders is still promoting Medicare for All to “solve” several problems with the current health care system. What are those problems? Cost and access are the top two. Advocates for socialized medicine schemes like Medicare for All get both wrong. The U.S Doesn’t Spend ‘Too Much’ on Health Care Typical framing of the cost issue shows U.S. healthcare spending relative to gross domestic product (GDP). But, health care spending should be divided by household disposable income, which is the amount of income available to spend after taxes. The U.S. ranks no. 1

Over the weekend, President Joe Biden claimed that some Republicans are hoping that the talks over raising the debt ceiling fail and the government defaults on its debt. “I think there are some MAGA Republicans in the House who know the damage that it would do to the economy, and because I am president, and the president’s responsible for everything, Biden would take the blame,” he said. What Biden is claiming assumes, of course, that things are going swimmingly right now, a point the president repeatedly makes, and how it’s all thanks to his policies.CORRECTION*

But by late summer, she expects a new expense to enter her monthly budget – gradually paying off the $68,000 she owes in student debt. "I'm gonna have to dip into my savings to start paying back on August 29," she said, mentioning the day that payments for direct federal student loans are set to resume. "And now that kind of hinders the goals I had set for myself for the next couple of years."

The testimony of crooked prosecution witness MPD Police Officer Campanale was shattered by the defense team as his accusations against the defendant proved with the government’s own evidentiary video that he accused Thomas of crimes he committed himself. They may be right about the fiscal ADHD on Capitol Hill, however, let’s make sure we are keeping track of the right discussion. It is true that both the growing deficit and long-term stability of Social Security are valid concerns that should draw the attention of Americans. These issues deserve the attention of all voters -- just not in the same sentence.
