Trump vs. DeSantis-Not Really an Option

Several months ago, I wrote a column, “Why do you still hate Donald Trump?” and asked readers to give me a good reason why they felt that way. Over 99% of the responses to my query came from those who agreed wholeheartedly with the column. Only one response criticized Donald Trump, yet the writer did state that if Trump ran in 2024, he would vote for him again. Not one genuine, Never-Trumper or Biden supporter contacted me, and I found that rather puzzling. Of course, the poor response could have been because I’m basically a nobody in the leftist environs and not worth their interest.

FTA: "My husband also joined the Trump bandwagon because he knew firsthand as his employee for 12 years that Trump had a reputation for always delivering on his promises. He told me that in the debates, Trump spoke directly to his own concerns. He had witnessed his business acumen and what a hard liner he became when it came to fixing problems at the hotel. His judgment about Trump was confirmed by the next highly successful four years of the Trump administration." Thank God this is a Must Read. It's excellent!

Trump never should have been telling the American public that the lockdown would be over “by Easter,” while at the same time, in taped conversations he himself confirmed, acknowledging the lockdowns would go on much longer. That’s exactly the same manipulation Fauci engaged in. He shouldn’t have said he had a great plan to replace Obamacare that he’d unveil if the Republicans took over both houses of congress when he was elected only to later shrug off the fact he had no plan at all. There are many such examples, big and small. That his enemies are often worse doesn’t make him less indecent

Trump is much like General George Patton, you either like him or you don't but he always gets the job done to the best of his ability and he loves America.

Trumps attempt to replace Obama care was torpedoed by the never Trumpers hero John McCain, who can forget his tie breaking vote. This debate with never Trumpers is a double headed snake. First one is a class issue. They tend to be pearl clutchers, still outraged he insulted McCain and Rosie O'Donnell. Maybe not as extreme, but the same attitude. The other head of the snake are the ones who buy into the media narrative, they don't even realize it. They are the majority of never Trumpers. By the way I am a past never Trumper I was the first head of the snake.

I have a nit. Almost every time we hear the term MAGA in the press these days, it is used as a derogatory term. I think every time someone like Biden or Schumer use the term when addressing the press, they should be asked what they mean by “MAGA;” or, what does it stand for. Make them say, “Make America Great Again.” By the same token, I would like to see supportive journalists and politicians spell it out instead of using the harsh-sounding acronym, “MAGA.” Say, “Make America Great Again;” otherwise, the actual meaning will be co-opted by the opposition.

Considering that the Trump presidency started with the deep state giving him advice on whom he should hire for what positions in his cabinet, a deep state lie of Russian collusion which resulted in the loss of the Congress for Republicans and concluding with a deep state advised handling of a virus, that Trump accomplished as much as he did was astounding.

I’m way past being concerned about Trump’s so-called “flaws”, in light of his obvious love of this Constitutional Republic. They are minuscule in comparison to the ingrained Machiavellian traits of his Deep State attackers. Trump learned his lessons from them the hard way. America does not have the luxury of someone else having to learn the same lessons, & without the experience & means to accomplish nearly as much. Matthew 7:3 And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? 5 Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye. I’m leary of those who - after seeing what Trump has gone through - overlook or ignore that Machiavellian pattern of evil traits in his attackers, & even side with them by taking their money, advice & support in a political attempt to defeat or bring Trump down. Same concern about those who seem to blindly overlook the implications of doing such a thing. It especially makes no sense when the timing is considered, & the fact that doing it is helping to ensure the completion of the Swamp’s intended “fundamental change” of America. It also holds indications of believing the political future has already been determined & deciding to secure your place in it. No Patrick Henrys, I guess.

Clear and brilliant column, as usual Ms. Colon. Thanks. Nobody can pinpoint precisely what it is about Trump that they hate. They'll say "he's a racist" w/o actual proof (other than Trump taking out an actual newspaper ad in the late 1980s calling for the death penalty for some hoodlums who attacked a Central Park jogger) They'll say "he's inarticulate and not smart" - but all I see and hear is how a typical New Yorker talks and expresses himself. It's called braggadocio (or 'chutzpah' if you're from NY.) Just swap out the Queens NY accent for a Texas accent and you got a braggin' bombastic LBJ Texan. As cut throat as the New York real estate world can be Trump had to play both sides of the political spectrum to get things done there. He's a crafty-enough entrepreneur to spot a good deal when he sees it - or to wait for the right time to make a deal or discard a loss w/o it affecting his business ledger too much. You gotta be smart to do just that. "Uncouth?" We can all be at one time or another. He who is w/o sin cast the first stone... Only way to stop Trump is to turn him into a martyr. If some mentally unbalanced DemoRAT operative chooses to go down this dangerous path then this country will certain explode in a conflagration the likes we've never experienced since the War Between The States.

I too voted for Trump reluctantly in 2016, only because I was extremely aware of the crimes Hillary had committed. (I worked in the EXOP and held those types of clearances. Like everyone who was cleared I had to read through and certify my understanding of the law before I could see any documents.) I was surprised by Trump. He thought "outside the box" and proposed things that were originally not legally OK, but he got good advice and modified them, with the result that "the box" was expanded. The results were good for the country! I voted for him again in 2020, but not reluctantly.

We shouldn't have listened to Glenn Beck in 2016. He didn't support President Trump and told others not to either. It's a good thing we came around (and later Beck did too) and saw that President Trump was God's man for our country at this time (see Isaiah 45, and end of chp. 44 v28) Trump as King Cyrus).

Anything being pushed by globalists — especially the evil commie clowns at the World Economic Forum (WEF) — requires a closer look. So, I thought I’d look into their dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusivity (DEI) which they’ve been hell-bent on gavaging down our throats.FACT-O-RAMA! The commies like to wrap their tyranny in virtue. An example is the transgender narrative. We are all expected to agree that a man can don panties and thus he is a she, and anyone who differs is labeled a “bigot” and may actually be fired. Why does the left push this codswallop?
