LA Dodgers condemned for honoring anti-Catholic
transgender drag nuns: 'Blasphemous'

The Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team is facing accusations of anti-Catholic bigotry after the team announced it would honor a gay and transgender group that uses Catholic imagery in sexualized contexts. The Dodgers and LA Pride announced earlier this month that the team would be marking "Pride Night" on June 16, 2023, and that the celebrations would include the presentation of the Community Hero Award to the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, a self-described "leading-edge Order of queer and trans nuns.

It will be interesting to see if people are willing to boycott the Dodgers like they are Bud Light. One is a company that embraced a mentally ill individual promoting their product and the other is an institution that is promoting a lifestyle directly attacking the religious faith of millions. Both Bud Light and it’s parent company and the Dodgers should be shunned. As long as this lifestyle is allowed to have public legitimacy in any form then the future of this country is against the natural order of creation.

These people who clamor for "diversity" and "inclusion" are such hypocrites. Why are Christians who practice their faith shown no respect for their beliefs and shown such total disrespect for those beliefs? (The "equity" concept means a common outcome - mediocrity or worse for all.) It was better when we were taught that our country was a melting pot. We respected our similarities, but we also had the grace to respect our differences, Diversity - to some - is fine as long as you are not a white heterosexual male, and inclusion is fine if you are a practicing Muslim, but not if you are a Christian who practices their faith.

I was taught by Catholic nuns. The vast majority of them were hard-working, intelligent, dedicated, selfless, and kind. I would think most of them would appreciate a little good-natured ribbing. But cheap, low, disgusting attacks like this are not funny, not justified, and frankly, evil. I was a loyal Yankee fan before the 1994 strike, which left America without a World Series (yes, I'm that old). That strike opened my eyes. These people -- players and owners -- don't care about me or you. Since that time, I have never been a real "fan" of any professional sport. I watch an inning or two once or twice a month, but mainly so I can have something to talk about in "mixed" political company. This latest outrage sours me even more.

Misleading headline. The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence aren't "transgender" -- they have been around far longer than the whole genderbullcrap movement. They're just a bunch of GLBs and common trannies who do vulgar things with what had once been sacred objects, for the express purpose of offending the Church. That they do some charitable work on the side gives the lying media an excuse to portray them as some kind of respectable group.

My father is one of three boys in his family, the middle son. His older brother is my Uncle Bruce. He and my father are approximately three years apart in age. They had formed a fast bond by the time their third brother came along, and the stories of Bruce and my dad’s childhood antics are legendary in the family. For example: One of my grandfathers worked as the manager of a small storefront JCPenney in western Kansas during my father’s childhood, back when JCPenney still maintained storefronts in small towns. From an early age, Barr dreamed of becoming a famous stand-up comic, but at 18, those dreams were temporarily derailed when she discovered that she was pregnant. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) introduced articles of impeachment against Attorney General Merrick Garland one day after she announced efforts to impeach two other officials. In the articles of impeachment, Greene alleges that Garland is "facilitating the weaponization and politicization of the United States justice system against the American people." Attorney General Garland has failed to uphold his oath and has instead overseen a denigration of the principles of our democratic republic by politicizing the Department of Justice, and utilizing the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a Federal police force to punish or intimidate anyone who questions or opposes the current regime," the articles of impeachment said.

Just last week the Proud Boys trial around the events of January 6, 2021 concluded. Four leaders of the Proud Boys were convicted of "seditious conspiracy" in a heavily biased DC court for their activities related to the mostly peaceful demonstrations of that date. To my mind, there are some dangerous precedents that have been set for subsequent attacks on Donald Trump and on the GOP presidential campaign. Immigration, trade, war, and crime. Being right on these four issues propelled Donald Trump to the presidency in 2016 against all odds. The intervening seven years have changed nothing. The only way a candidate from the Right can possibly win the presidency in 2024 is by campaigning on limiting immigration (build the wall), increasing tariffs, getting out of Ukraine, and restoring law and order (especially in regards to elections and the opioid crisis). These are the core issues for the center-Right coalition needed to win national elections. No supposedly conservative politician with aspiration for higher office should ever make any public statement without hammering at least one of these points.

First, it’s been my experience that many—if not most—casual poll watchers tend to pay selective attention to polls, not unlike Fox News or CNN viewers who watch various on-air personalities to be told what they want to hear. Second, we’ve seen candidates laud the results of a particular poll when its results favor them, then turn around and call the exact same polls “fake” when they don’t like the poll’s latest results. Third, while pre-primary polls conducted among likely voters of a single party might be lauded by various candidates and their followers, polls conducted among
