Seven-time WNBA All-Star Britney Griner returned to game action on Friday for the first time since being arrested in February 2022 at Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport after authorities discovered vape canisters with cannabis oil in her luggage. (snip) "Hearing the national anthem, it definitely hit different," Griner said. (snip) In July 2020, as social justice protests were occurring around the country, Griner said she didn't feel that the anthem should be played during the season, adding that she didn't mean any "disrespect to our country."

Young people today have no emotional concept of the freedom we have in this country. It is what is destroying us. And all their hateful left wing parents and others who hate America.

Griner is nothing more than an entitled and ungrateful moron who plays a child's game for money. If anyone should be grateful to hear the NA, it should be this criminal who got freed from a Russian prison where they belonged.

A professor at a Catholic university believes that Christianity, going back to St. Paul the Apostle, is to blame for racism and antisemitism to this day. Fordham University Professor Magda Teter’s new book titled “Christian Supremacy” came out today. The book provides “a profound reckoning with history that traces the roots of the modern rejection of Jewish and Black equality to an enduring Christian heritage of exclusion, intolerance, and persecution,” according to its description.

Sixty-seven congregations in Arkansas have officially disaffiliated from the United Methodist Church, being part of a wave of departures driven largely by the mainline Protestant denomination’s ongoing debate over LGBT issues. (snip) According to the UMC Book of Discipline, the Church prohibits the blessing of same-sex unions and bars the ordination of individuals who are in same-sex romantic relationships. Nevertheless, many theologically progressive leaders within the UMC have actively refused to follow or enforce these rules, prompting many theological conservatives to seek dismissal.

The report of Special Counsel John H. Durham into the origins of the “Russia collusion” investigation refutes the claims of an earlier Inspector General’s report that Democrats cited to defend the FBI and the probe itself. In late 2019, Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz released the report of his investigation into the FBI’s “Russia collusion” probe. While Horowitz found there had been “serious performance failures,” he found no evidence of “intentional misconduct.” More broadly, he found that while the conduct of the probe — including fraudulent warrant applications — had been wrong, the investigation was opened for good reasons.

California's reparations task force is calling for the state legislature to require all cities and counties with allegedly segregated neighborhoods to submit all their real estate ordinances to a state agency for approval based on whether they maintain or lessen "residential racial segregation." (snip) The recommendations include several proposals meant to address "housing segregation" and "unjust property takings" that contributed to alleged systemic racism against Black Californians. Among the most controversial of the housing proposals is one that would seemingly hand over control of local land use decisions to a state agency that would approve ordinances based on whether they maintain or decrease segregation.

Disgraced FBI Agent Peter Strzok isn’t taking the latest Russian collusion update well. Maybe that’s because the report submitted by Special Counsel John Durham, which totaled over 300 pages, eviscerated the FBI and finally concluded that the whole investigation was a hoax. Not a shred of tangible evidence could suggest that Donald Trump was colluding with Moscow, and there was certainly not enough to greenlight a full-blown counterintelligence probe into the matter. The report confirmed what we already knew but took a katana to the credibility and professionalism the bureau prided itself on for decades. The FBI is the Democratic Party’s errand boy,

Marijuana laced with fentanyl is rising across the US, a Washington doctor has warned, after cases of the drug cocktail were found in New York, Alabama, Illinois and Louisiana. Fentanyl, a highly potent synthetic opioid that's 100 times stronger than morphine and 50 times stronger than heroin, is increasingly being mixed with other substances to make them more potent at a cheap price. Just two milligrams of fentanyl – imagine 10 to 15 grains of table salt – can prove fatal, and staggering figures showed it is killing the equivalent of an entire classroom of children every week.
