Kamala Harris has claimed the end of Title 42 is 'going rather smoothly' despite border governors dropping off migrants at her own home and thousands of migrants remain stuck in processing. The vice president spent her weekend in the wealthy Atlanta suburb of Buckhead at a fundraiser for the Democratic Party of Georgia, the third time she's visited the swing state this year. The state's Republican Party called it 'deplorable' Harris was 'coming to Atlanta for a fundraiser campaigning while the border crisis is overflowing and we have out-of-control inflation' in a statement.

Texas State House Representative Shawn Thierry, D-Houston, joined with Republicans to support Senate Bill 14 which would restrict gender modification in children. As a Democrat from the Houston area, Mrs. Thierry came under blistering assault from organized alphabet activists in her decision to support the House version of the Texas bill. Facing threats, ostracization, ridicule and direct personal attacks against her, Ms. Thierry stood against the rage of the mob and voted to support the bill. President Joe Biden was awarded an honorary doctorate degree from Howard University on Saturday for his "analytical intellect" and "popularity on both sides" – claims mocked by conservatives on Twitter and contradicted by recent polls. Dr. Wayne Frederick, the president of Howard University, introduced Biden with high praise at the school's 155th commencement on Saturday. "Admired for your sound analytical intellect and open embrace for all, your popularity on both sides of the aisle of the United States led to your illustrious reputation and outstanding service of 36 years as a Democratic senator from Delaware beginning at a tender age of 29," Frederick said of Biden.

Proving again that those at media outlets like MSNBC, The Washington Post, New York Times and others want total subservience to the radical left-wing agenda, Kurtz even aired a clip of MSNBC’s resident racist demagogue Joy Reid who lashed out at CNN. “When CNN announced it was doing a televised town hall with Donald Trump, some critics, including MSNBC hosts, ripped the network. How dare CNN give the former president a forum to answer its questions,”

The mainstream media continues to acknowledge Donald Trump’s impressive victory in last week’s CNN town hall. “The Memo,” a regular column by the Hill associate editor Niall Stanage, rounded up comments from Trump allies, Trump foes, and even a “prominent on-air talent” at CNN who all recognize the left-leaning network’s failure to do the former president any damage whatsoever. A Minnesota teenager was arrested for the murder of a beloved youth hockey coach who was shot and killed earlier this month in St. Paul after cell phone data linked the teen to the crime. Authorities charged the unidentified 17-year-old with second-degree murder for allegedly shooting Michael Brasel, who police say stumbled upon a burglary-in-progress (Snip) he was arrested for an April 2022 robbery in which he brought a gun to Harding High School in St. Paul, held it to another student’s head and demanded his cell phone. Two bystanders recorded the crime and posted it on Snapchat. Prosecutors charged the boy with aggravated robbery, and he was on probation until January 2023

Among the most basic factors in what we may call the “practice of daily life” is one that is most easily forgotten or commonly neglected: trust. I mean, to begin with, trust in what we habitually regard as reliable without giving it a moment’s thought, as something we rarely doubt, let alone conceptualize. We seem to have little idea of the degree to which trust determines our every move, gesture and act. Trust, as James Bowman observes of honor in Honor: A History, is “reflexive” and at its core “inseparable from the human condition.” Trust is instinctive in every moment of human existence.

As RedState previously reported, Rep. James Comer and other Republicans in both the House and Senate are currently in the midst of an investigation into an alleged bribery scheme involving the Biden family. Specifically, the FBI is in possession of a 1023 form that includes supposed evidence and witness testimony to that effect. But while the FBI has not denied that they have the form, they have attempted to stonewall, claiming confidentiality concerns. Now, another roadblock has appeared. According to Comer, some witnesses have gone missing while others are in jail, and the FBI is refusing to assist in locating them.

This week, Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) tried to do the impossible. After he and his colleagues presented a labyrinth of LLC shell companies and accounts used to funnel as much as $10 million to Biden family members, Donalds tried to induce the press to show some interest in the massive corruption scandal. “For those in the press, this easy pickings & Pulitzer-level stuff right here,” he pleaded. The response was virtually immediate. Despite showing nine Biden family members allegedly receiving funds from corrupt figures in Romania, China and other countries, The New Republic quickly ran a story headlined “Republicans Finally Admit They Have No Incriminating Evidence on Joe Biden.”

You can have all the facts on your side and still lose an argument. How? Because the other side is not bound by facts, they’re arguing emotion, and emotion always overrides facts. It sounds stupid, it is stupid, but it’s also true. Think about the things you’ve apologized for in your life – I’d give you odds it was for things you said in the heat of the moment, not after thinking about the situation in a cool, rational way. That emotion factor is a big part of why Republicans always seem to get rolled when it comes to policy debates, but it’s not the only reason.

We truly appear more and more to be living in two different worlds when it comes to Democrats versus reality. They deny even biology and can’t define what a woman is. A man is a woman simply because he says so in their “reality.” In that world, there is no inflation or disaster at the border. The border is “secure” and Joe Biden has built the strongest economy in years. Joe Biden is a born political panderer. It’s how he won the Democratic Party nomination, and it played a large role in his victory over Donald Trump. Telling people what they want to hear is a political skill that most politicians possess. At least 14 people were shot, three of them fatally, Friday into Saturday night in Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s (D) Chicago. ABC 7/ Chicago Sun-Times reported that a man was shot in the head and fatally wounded around 7:30 p.m. “in the 5200 block of South Halsted Street.” He was taken to a hospital, where he died. At 2:43 a.m. Saturday a 30-year-old man got into an argument with another man in an apartment building lobby “in the 2700 block of South State Street.” The other man pulled a gun and shot the 30-year-old, who was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead.

You can take this with a grain of salt, but according to Niall Ferguson, a historian and senior fellow at the Hoover Institution, there is a strong possibility that former Donald Trump will emerge the victor in the 2024 presidential election. In an op-ed for The Spectator, Ferguson argued that “A second Trump act is not just possible. It’s fast becoming my base case.” Ferguson quickly dismisses the idea that Trump’s legal issues will hurt him because criminal cases against leading political figures often do not hinder their political success. Two young men were killed and five others seriously injured when gunfire broke out late Saturday at a gathering just north of the US-Mexico border in Arizona. All of the victims were men between the ages of 15 and 20, Fox 10 reported. The two men killed were ages 19 and 20 and died at the Yuma Regional Medical Center. A 16-year-old boy was flown to Phoenix in critical condition. The four other hurt males — ages 15, 16, 18 and 19 — are expected to survive. Police in Yuma received a call about an aggravated assault just before 11 p.m., ABC News reported.

A top Republican accused the White House of "intimidating" players with knowledge of the Biden family's overseas business dealings. A Florida couple has had their wedding upended after an Orange County hotel — set to take in migrants from New York City — abruptly canceled the rooms she booked for her guests, she told The Post. “We felt discarded, disappointed and angry that they just tossed us aside to make an extra dollar for the hotel. It’s just not right,” Deanna Mifsud, 35, fumed. A couple's wedding plans are in chaos after an Upstate New York hotel hosting their guests abruptly cancelled their rooms to make space for a migrant influx. Gary Moretti, 37, and Deanna Mifsud, 35, slammed The Crossroads Hotel in Newburgh after discovering it had cancelled 30 rooms they had booked just weeks before their nuptials. 'It was absolutely devastating,' Moretti told DailyMail.com. 'It really just hit us hard, despite having contracts and thinking we were locked in - it's disrespectful.'
