The Biden administration is proposing new limits on greenhouse gas emissions from coal and gas-fired power plants, its most ambitious effort yet to roll back planet-warming pollution from the nation's second-largest contributor to climate change. A rule to be unveiled Thursday by the Environmental Protection Agency could force power plants to capture smokestack emissions using a technology that has long been promised but is not in widespread use in the U.S. If finalized, the proposed regulation would mark the first time the federal government has restricted carbon dioxide emissions from existing power plants,

What's going to replace it? Over the past 10 years more than 100 gigawatts of coal fired generation capacity has been forcibly removed from the grid with no reliable replacement.

This is national suicide by Green decree. It should be the death of the Democrats. We're going to run out of affordable energy because it's the virtuous thing to do. The Chinese are building a new coal-fired power plant every week, and have been doing so for long time. The Chinese tell the Greens what to do, and the Greens do it, being communists at heart.

FTA: " . . . to roll back planet-warming pollution from the nation's second-largest contributor to climate change." And where exactly is the scientific proof of "planet-warming pollution" or contributors to "climate change"? Communists - - like the ones at AssPress - - always make pompous assertions - - without ever having to provide any proof. There isn't a SHRED of data anywhere in this world - - nor can there be - - which proves that human activity is inducing catastrophic climate change. It's so easy to be a commie - - you never have to prove anything.

My electric bills have doubled in over the past 8 years with most of the increase coming after 2020. This in spite of my keeping the AC at 78, not using the dryer but about half an hour a week and turning off lights when I leave the room. What else can I do? I don't want to burn up this summer and the price of food is killing me.

How will people charge their electric cars if 90% of the power plants are closed down? How will people cook their food with their mandatory electric stoves (once he bans gas stoves) without 90% of the electric power plants. How will people heat their home, light their homes, work from home, and do all of the other things that make life in the US wonderful? Apparently, Joe Biden, the Democrats, and his Green worshiping fanatics want us to go back to the iving standards of the 1800's.

You won't have cars. What little food you are allowed will not need to be heated. Your state-controlled heating will be just enough to keep your pipes from freezing. There will be no TV, and you won't need lighting to read, because you'll be in bed early to rest up for your 12-hour shift at the Soylent Green Factory. So see...plenty of power!

Fox News Channel's Bret Baier told former President Donald Trump during a contentious interview that aired Monday night that he was the loser of the 2020 election - something the 2024 Republican hopeful still denies. The back-and-forth continued to get heated when Baier asked Trump how he would be able to recruit good people to work for him at the White House for a second term. Baier noted how in recent days Trump had called former Attorney General Bill Barr a 'gutless pig' and said his ex-Chief of Staff John Kelly was 'born with a [very] small brain.'

A Florida high school math teacher has been fired after a 'racially charged incident' that saw him compare students skin tones to different types of coffee roasts. Cary Altschuler, who taught AP statistics and precalculus at Lake Worth High School, posted photos of three students on his smart board along with the labels: 'Extra Cream,' 'Medium Roast,' and 'Dark Roast.' He claims he did it in response to two students who began calling each other 'light-skinned'. Altschuler reportedly told the students that if they were going to mock the color of each other's skin, they should be more creative.

Researchers in Korea say the removal of groundwater around the world for drinking and irrigation is altering the Earth's mass and in turn making its axis 'wobble'. Changing the position of the axis can potentially increase the amount of sunlight the poles are getting, which can increase the melting of polar ice. According to the team, we've shifted such a large mass of water that the Earth tilted 31 inches (78.5cm) east between 1993 and 2010 alone.

Indeed, the ACLU is strongly opposed to capital punishment. But the organization only made passing reference to their opposition to the death penalty.
