Donald Trump, 77, is leaning toward picking a woman as his running mate in 2024 – but says he doesn't think it will make much of a 'difference' who he asks to run with him as vice president.
The ex-President said he is considering South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, 51, as a running mate.
'I like not to think too much about that. You always do a little bit – but I really don't think it's time. I want to win,' Trump told NBC News' new Meet the Press host Kristen Welker.

Stop with the teasers. I hate that. Dont tell me you are going to drop a blockbuster in a week. It doesn't build up anticipation, it builds resentment. If you have something to say, just say it.

He should pick someone he can trust. His best bet for VP would be a family member.

Gender and Race should have absolutely no place when selecting a running mate to any elective office. Full stop. President Trump is demonstrating some seriously flawed thinking in this matter. Enough with the diversity crap, President Trump. Stop trying to reach across to the communist death democrat women. They and the rest of the commie democrats are our deadly enemy.

We do not need the token woman VP. Most Conservative women don't care. We want someone who is well qualified to become president.
I don't see Noem.

Those who are spitting bullets over this clearly did not read the article, PDJT's comments, and don't know his style. He is not about to be pinned down to anyone. Leaves masses of doors open while sounding pleasant and complimenary...
This is clickbait DM, folks.

Once upon a time, Trump talked about wanting Oprah to be his running mate. I think she’s still available and hits several boxes.

Yes, #9, the usual suspects are whipping into a frenzy over something a DM reporter concludes. Pretty sure I read that Trump said it was too early to think about a VP, and that a lot of people are under consideration. I realize I’m getting older, but I still have pretty good reading comprehension skills.

As he goes about campaigning I suspect he is thinking about his selections for all positions but winning is the key so whatever he says now is only words. Since Trump only has 4 years, the VP selection is important for the his legacy.

Kristi Noem would be 1000x better than Pence. And so would be Kari Lake, but we are saving her for Senator.

A citizen politician picks a politician as running mate. Wait, didn't we just see that with what's his name Pence? Next. . .

Drive-byers who don’t bother to read the article really come off as ding-dongs with their comments sometimes.
Nowhere in this article does Trump either “hint” or “publicly call out” Noem as his VP.
When specifically asked if he'd consider a female running mate, he said: 'I like the concept, yes . . . but, we're going to pick the best person.”
The End. Read the articles, folks.

Trump's answer is the best practical response I have seen. Get as much political benefit as you can but don't get trapped into a commitment.
