Senators Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas), Roger Wicker (R-Mississippi), Susan Collins (R-Maine), and Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) have penned a letter to Joe Biden, urging him to send MGM-140 Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS) to Ukraine. The senators argue that not doing so will “only prolong the war” between Ukraine and Russia. The senators’ proposal is misguided and perilous for the United States and global stability.
The senators’ letter comes on the heels of the Senate Armed Services Committee’s unanimous approval for the Department of Defense to send long-range missiles to Ukraine.
My Senator Collins is a bloodthirsty warmonger. She makes no sense. Talking at the peace table will stop the carnage.

What happened to the 3000 reservists and NGs that were put on alert a month ago? Are they clandestine 'advisors' in the Ukraine. ( I'm of Vietnam age)

I spent my youth growing up with the threat of nuclear war with the USSR. Why is it now we are running headlong into this situation? Who makes the $$$ ?

I hear there's an unlimited number of draftees crossing our southern border. Let these four RINOs ship them there if it's such a worthy cause.

Sure go ahead. Provoke Putin into nuclear responses. That will shorten things. As in everything all at once.

Not NO but HELL NO! Not another dime or piece of military hardware to the corrupt regime in Ukraine! Time for those folks to figure it out themselves...

What do they hope to accomplish? If Putin, loses, he gets removed from office, probably with lethal force. Who replaces him? What will we have to deal with if Putin is gone? Probably someone even more hardline than Putin.
I remember Graham blessing Obama's war in Syria where he was trying to overthrow Assad. The only winner would have been ISIS. Trump put an end to that insanity.
What is the end game here? Make Russia a non-player? To make Russia weak? Just don't see that happening. Russia and China are already forming alliances amongst themselves and other countries to contend with the west. This is insane as Syria.
It is time to negotiate a peace deal and an end to this war. No winners and no losers.

Ukraine cannot win this war, and has run out of Ukrainians. That is why we hear everyday for another escalation of weaponry: tanks, F16's, drones, missiles, and nuclear projectiles. All of it is accomplishing nothing but prolonging inevitable defeat for Ukraine---unless in the end Nato (American) troops are deployed, maybe with a squad of Nato troops.

It's a short range, 190 mile, ballistic missile. It is NOT nuclear capable.
Prolonging the war is a feature, not a big.

Imagine electing a bunch of people who have never seen a war or know nothing about human nature and putting them in charge of the military arsenal and foreign relations. Who would do that?

Cut off all western funding and weapons to Ukraine, and this war is over in 2 weeks!!!
Keep feeding this monster with our tax dollars leading to uncontrolled bloodshed for a country we have no treaties or anything else that we need to support them.
OP had it right. Ukraine has 1/6th the population of Russia. They are quickly running out of military age fighting men. This has to either end or it will truly become WW-III, with lots of western boots on the ground.

There is no surprise that Collins, Graham and Wicker are on board with sending tactical missile systems to Ukraine. Cotton’s approval of this is a disappointment. He has dropped way down on my list.

The more weapons Ukraine gets, the more hardline they aspire to be in dealings with Russia. The Lord only knows what they will want if they get more weapons. The whole Donbas? Reparations? The right to choose Russia's next president? And. Russia will not give in. .... This is a terrible idea.

I wonder what the going price for this sort of support is these days... You think a million $ was enough? Or does an under-the-table payment for a Republican sellout go for a lot more? I'll bet Collins, at least, came relatively cheap.

Goober Grahamnesty, Shakes Collins and Candle Wick Wicker are RINO warmongers nitwits. So, it stands to reason why those 3 stooges would want to send the little Ukrainian dictating troll a weapon system. We have to keep the war (chest) going. Senator Cotton to me is a surprise as I though he had more sense than that.
