A viral TikTok video of Southern California restaurant customers standing and singing the Star-Spangled Banner caused many America-hating trolls to post how triggered they were, writing things like “this seems like a horror movie” and “I would be scared for my life.” The seemingly unremarkable footage is only 14 seconds long but has over 3.5 million views and almost 600,000 likes as of this writing. The account holder, @paulinappa_0, captioned the post with the ridiculous statement, “By far the most dangerous situation I’ve ever been in.” If that’s true, she must not have ever left her house. A New York subway rider was allegedly stabbed in the stomach with an ice pick in what police are calling an “unprovoked attack” as they continue the search for the suspect.
The incident happened on April 19 when the victim, a 38-year-old man, and his friend, a 43-year-old man, were waiting on the northbound J train platform at the Crescent Street train station in Cypress Hills at around 4:15 a.m.
Fox 5 reports the suspect approached the two men and stabbed the victim in the stomach with an ice pick before fleeing.
The victim was admitted to hospital and is now recovering.
