New York City Mayor Eric Adams recently slammed Biden’s border policy, indirectly, by claiming that the migrant crisis is ‘destroying’ the city. Adams is finally experiencing what people who live near the border have known for years. Adams says New York is at a breaking point due to the number of migrants who keep arriving in the city and needing services. It was recently reported that it’s costing New York City up to $5 million dollars a day to house and feed illegal immigrants.

My home town has a large immigrant population but they didn't come over all at once. We have Eastern Europeans, people from Central America and Burma and now people from Zaire. They have settled in pretty well, but they didn't all come over in one mass group. What is happening at the border is terrible and will have a bad outcome.

You run your county. If you don't want bus loads of people in your county, have the County Sheriff's Dept meet the at the county line and turn them back. Leading means sometimes you have to make hard decisions. Be the leaders you were elected to be.

Rockland county says there have been 1000 new illegal students enrolled in their schools, average school size is 528 pupils...requiring two NEW schools, or overcrowding the current ones. 35% increase in foster care...Meaning, people filing to get PAID for fostering these kids. The new "Plan" is 350 adult males, for 4 months(at least) with no available "Legal" jobs, no transit, no services. Unless or until NYC and others publicly RESCIND their sanctuary promises, and get onboard with methods to STOP these people from ever crossing the border, ALL costs should land on them, and the people that voted for them. Each Congresscritter, legislator from the 5 Boroughs that is "Pro-Migrant" needs to take in at least a dozen of them, into their personal homes. AND get their major campaign backers to do the same.

it was common practice in the late 70's and 80's for nyc to rent apartments for their welfare recipients for a year in nassau and suffolk counties immediately east of nyc for the sole purpose of establishing residency and and making their welfare costs the responsibility of those two counties. am not sure if the practice was ever effectively dealt with by those counties.

Bleeding heart liberals can't see past their rants over welcoming all the so called people seeking sanctuary from oppression or whatever and it's all political to oppose any logical opinions of conservatives who can look ahead and see what the problems will be. All libs know how to do is tax and spend but most of that supposedly targeted towards helping people ends up in the pockets of the minions set in charge to direct the "relief" efforts. It's all a gigantic scam but liberal voters just can't seem to see though all their progressive fog as they just keep on voting for their AOC squad type big mouths. The tipping point will come just as it did in Rome sooo long ago!

If to other towns the mayor of New York relocates asylum seekers, or whatever we are calling the immigration line jumpers these days, then how does he differ in that practice from the governors of Florida and Texas, whom he and his ilk loathe? New York elected this brat. Let New York suffer for it — or change. I say that, but then I live in Illinois where the Republican Party has a spine that makes linguini look like it’s on Viagra and the majority of voters (not I!) elected a filthy rich socialist pig with tyrannical tendencies.

New York — Donald Trump’s town hall forum on CNN on Wednesday is the first major television event of the 2024 presidential campaign — and a gigantic test for the chosen moderator, Kaitlan Collins. Both sides of the political divide expressed suspicion when the CNN forum at New Hampshire’s St. Anselm College was announced last week. Some Democrats question whether the former president should be given the airtime, while Republicans wonder if a network Trump has long disparaged can be fair. Once it begins, Collins must give audience members the chance to ask questions while determining when to step in with her own.
