Rising Fox News star Lawrence Jones has been tapped as the next rotating replacement for fired anchor Tucker Carlson's 8pm weekday spot. Jones, 30, will take over as the next temporary host of the rebranded 'Fox News Tonight' starting on Monday, following Brian Kilmeade's weeklong stint as Carlson's replacement, a network spokesperson told DailyMail.com on Saturday. Since January 2022, Jones has hosted a weekend primetime show on the network, 'Lawrence Jones Cross Country', making him the youngest black solo host of a cable news show in history.

So let me get this straight.......Fox fired Tucker because he was too much of an independent thinker and spoke his own mind, even if it meant challenging the corporate media's narrative. But that characteristic of Tucker is what gave him the huge following. So now Fox brings in an up and coming Black man to be Tucker's replacement, and we're all supposed to fall in line and rush back to Fox because they're demonstrating such admirable equity. How totally out of touch with your viewers can you be? I'm surprised that they're not introducing Tucker's replacement as being "articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy."

Lawrence Jones is a clean-cut guy whom I believe started at Fox when he was still in colldege. (From memory so could be very wrong.) He is a conservative. He will never be Tucker. When they try to install Martha McCallum, I will throw my shoe through the TV.

So now when Tucker viewers don't return, the left will say, "See. We knew the Fox/Tucker audience was racist" There is method to Fox"s madness. I have nothing against Lawrence Jones. I've appreciated his reporting before, but I won't be returning to Fox.

Tucker hasn't been fired. He's still under contract. He has been benched. He can't do his work. He can't go to another net or on his own without the contract settlement. Fox will drag that settlement out for ages. They don't want him to compete. Fortunately Tucker has hired a go for the juggler lawyer to get him out of his contract for bookoo $$$. Tucker has learned. He wont be harnessed by another net. He will ultimately create his own net and do his own thing. Meanwhile, Fox circles the cable drain just like CNN and MSNBC. Gutfeld is the only show left worth watching.

Re my #3, he bills himself as a Liberrtarian. Re #10, it is all over for Tucker and Fox. The lawyers are ironing out the settlement details. He is free to entertain new deals. For some time Fox has obviously cut back on the outside guests who made their programs more interesting. Instead it’s now Jason Chaffetz (ugh) and Jack Kean. Their bench is Hegseth and Kilmeade and Duffy…thin gruel.

Nope. Nothing against Mr. Jones as an interim host but he is being asked to do an impossible task. People have had enough. There are other sources for news and if they do not already find them, they will. It is pointless to watch an untrustworthy news program and Fox has lost all credibility. If Gutfeld had any courage, he would speak up. However, when push comes to shove, he will knuckle under just like the rest of them. They are there just to get a paycheck.
