Washington governor Jay Inslee signed three gun control bills on Tuesday, including a ban on AR-15s and dozens of other semiautomatic rifles.
The new measures will go into effect immediately. In addition to the semiautomatic rifle ban, a ten-day waiting period for all gun purchases will be instituted. There is also a measure to enable the state attorney general or private citizens to sue gun manufacturers and dealers under public-nuisance laws if they negligently allow their guns to be sold to minors or straw purchasers, the Seattle Times reported.
“These weapons of war, assault weapons, have no reason other than mass murder,” Inslee said at the signing ceremony.

I thought an “assault weapon” was one that had automatic fire. Has that changed? I used to have a semi- automatic .22 that I used for target practice. Little did I know it was a weapon of war and it’s only purpose was really mass murder. Thanks for setting me straight, Governor.
What a flaming idiot.

Mass lawsuits in 3-2-1!!!
These idiot lie-berals just love to try to set a precedent, that is then over-ruled by the courts, which sets another precedent stopping other idiot lie-beral states from doing the same.
You would think they would learn, but I guess learning takes more than 6 working brain cells -- which I have never met a lie-beral that had more than that (and usually less)!!!

My Ruger sports model .22 automatic pistol bought over 50 years ago for camping & plinking will shoot 9 rounds as fast as you can pull the trigger (about 3 seconds or less). Does it qualify as a “weapon of war “? These leftist MFers have nothing but ignorant ideology and shif for brains.

Typical liberal attitude. Penalize law abiding citizens for the sins of the demented mass shooters.

Those "weapons of war" will now be possessed strictly by the feral animals of ANTIFA and BLM. No sympathy here for the citizens in Washington.

The 2nd amendment is to allow the citizenry means to protect themselves from government misbehavior, and their failings in protecting the people from foreigners or domestic enemies.

The only way that ths lie about an AR-15 being an 'assault weapon' gains traction is that people are becoming STUPIDER. Basically, either you know a gun is a tool and can only perform the will of its user, OR you're just terrified of guns and believe whatever the lying MSM tell you. The stupid part is people blindly believing what the politicians and their minions in the MSM tell them.

Sooo...does that mean that every Police force in Washington state needs to now destroy them? Don't wanna have mass murders now do we. Does the National Guard need to get rid of them too?
He ignores the FACT that nearly every mass murder has only ended when the Mass Murderer was eventually shot by....an AR15.

The AR15 (Armalite Rifle model 15) was introduced in the 1950s and did not jump up and kill anyone until the late 90s when kids under psychiatric care began getting hold of them. Perhaps psychiatrists and Pharma should be held responsible.

#6, the State of Washington was 1 of 4 states that allowed legal abortions prior to Roe.
Even funnier when you watch Grey's Anatomy's recent abortion episodes acting as if Seattle is in some deep red state or something. They really should have a disclaimer.
Interesting they only now are proposing a 10 day waiting period, but most of the other items will likely render the law unconstitutional and over turned.

The Ruger Ranch Rifle, 223, semi-auto, was not included in the federal “assault weapons” ban that expired about 20 years ago. One reason the Ranch Rifle was not banned is because it has a hardwood stock and does not look “scary” like ARs. That tells you the low level of intellect that gun grabbers have. I don’t believe the RR is included in the Washington state ban either.

So the guy that ruled Seattle's "Autonomous zone" was the guy with the AR who killed 2 people.
He didn't like liberals either. Nobody in Seattle took his gun. He was actually in a way exercising his second amendment rights.

I am fairly sure that at some point the requirements of the Bruen ruling by SCOTUS will lead to one of these "assault weapon" bans being ruled unconstitutional, which will make ALL of then unconstitutional.
These antigun hysterics are just spinning their wheels.

Won’t fly after the Bruin decision. They will try, of course, but this will result in millions more AR-15 being sold. We are now being governed by fools and fascists.,,,totalitarians. Molon labe.

Another dumb cluck gives it a try. You can always tell the gun grabbers who have never held a real assault weapon in their hands - ever.
