Nikki Haley is auditioning for Trump VP slot

Nikki Haley doesn’t have a prayer to become the next President of the United States, although she is a viable VP candidate for sure. I’ve always had a generally positive impression of her. She is smart, was a good governor, and one of the most reliable and well-spoken of the Trump appointees. With that said, I was pretty stunned by her cheap shot at Ron DeSantis. I am pretty sure that it will alienate quite a number of people, although to me it’s pretty clear that Republican voters are not the intended recipients of her message. Please, PDJT is smarter than that. He has a very good memory, especially when it comes to those who betrayed him for political gain. He would be a fool to trust her.

FTA: "precisely 0% of people would change their votes based on [Trump's] VP pick." I disagree. I think we'll be watching his choice very carefully, being that he has a less than stellar record at choosing political allies, plus we're still feeling the burn from his first term VP. Nikki strikes me as being too Deep State and too ambitious to be an asset to Trump.

If President Trump wants a woman, there are about 50 solid conservative Republican candidates to be his VP running mate in 2024. Lake, Noem, and Sanders are all at the top of the list. Haley is not on that list by a long shot!!! Nikki Haley is not a conservative, and is the walking definition of a RINO Republi-Can't!!!! She has destroyed her political future by so many things she has said and done.

Compared to Kamala Harris, Nikki is a viable VP candidate but then so is the winner of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. Trump learned from the cowardice of Mike Pence that the VP choice is important.

I am not comfortable with her. Much of what she says seems right on, but what she does counts for more. Her removal of the Confederate flag was unconscionable and unforgivable. She buckled under to the woke crowd and may well do it again. No thanks.

Live in SC which now holds the distinction of being the “Blueist Red State” in the USA thanks to Graham, Scott, Mace, and Haley (and the Northern invasion). Without term limits, plus the power of incumbency, we’ll never rid ourselves of Graham and Clyburn.

I liked Haley as a Governor and Ambassador, but it would seem the more statements she makes running for the Presidential nomination (or VP slot) she shoots herself in the foot. At this point, Robert Kennedy, Jr. makes more sincere rhetoric that she does because he is coming from a point that BOTH "parties" have disdain for the people and are only involved in using government for profitting themselves.

RALEIGH, N.C. — In massive victories for Republicans, the newly GOP-controlled North Carolina Supreme Court on Friday threw out a previous ruling against gerrymandered voting maps and upheld a photo voter identification law that colleagues had struck down as racially biased. The rulings should make it significantly easier for the Republican-dominated legislature to help the GOP gain seats in the narrowly divided U.S. House when state lawmakers redraw congressional boundaries for the 2024 elections. Under the current map, Democrats won seven of the state’s 14 congressional seats last November. The court, which became a Republican majority this year following the election of two GOP justices, ruled

WASHINGTON — Former Vice President Mike Pence appeared Thursday before the federal grand jury convened as part of the special counsel investigation into former President Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn his 2020 election loss and remain in power, according to a source familiar with the matter. The testimony is a significant development in the special counsel’s probe, as Pence could provide critical insights into Trump’s thinking in the days leading up to the attack on the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. The former vice president published a memoir and Wall Street Journal opinion article detailing several of his interactions with Trump, but some details were left vague.

No wonder President Biden needs a cheat sheet while taking questions from adults. The 80-year-old commander-in-chief had difficulty remembering his recent state visit to Ireland Thursday while being grilled by kids during a Take Your Child to Work event at the White House. “The last country I’ve traveled, I’m trying to think of the last one I was in,” Biden mused to the children of administration staffers and members of the media. “I’ve been to, met with 89 heads of state so far. So, uh, trying to think where was the last place I was; it’s hard to keep track.” “Ireland,” a child shouted out, jogging the president’s memory. “Yeah, you’re right, Ireland.

More than a third of likely Democrat primary voters believe someone other than President Joe Biden should be the Democrat presidential nominee, according to a poll partially conducted after he announced his reelection bid on Tuesday. The Emerson College Polling survey, taken April 24-25, shows that 65 percent of those who plan to vote in the Democrat primary want Biden as the nominee versus 35 percent who want “someone else.” When pitted against declared candidates, he sees a minor bump in support. WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden just announced his re-election campaign, but he’s already on track to sacrifice New Hampshire’s famed primary to a fringe rival like Marianne Williamson or Robert Kennedy Jr. The unusual situation is one of Biden’s own making, thanks to the new primary calendar the Democratic National Committee ratified at his behest in February, which seeks to demote Iowa and New Hampshire and prohibits candidates from campaigning — or even putting their name on the ballot — in a state that jumps the line. The problem is that New Hampshire and Iowa, both of which Biden lost in 2020, plan to disregard the DNC

A push led by Democrats to give more time for states to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment, or ERA, failed on Thursday. The measure didn't win the support needed to clear a key 60-vote threshold, with the final tally being 51 to 47. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer changed his vote to no in order to bring it back again in the near future. "This issue is too important, and we are not giving up," Schumer said in brief remarks after the vote. Almost all Republicans voted against the legislation, though Sen.
