Joe Biden Moves to Cut Medicare Advantage

Original Article

Posted By: Dreadnought, 4/3/2023 1:00:00 AM

President Joe Biden’s administration announced that it would cut Medicare Advantage, after the president has frequently claimed that Republicans want to slash Medicare and Social Security. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced this week that they would cut Medicare Advantage by 1.12 percent in 2024, which is not as significant a cut as what the administration proposed two months ago. Bloomberg reported: The agency will also phase in controversial changes that determine payments based on the severity of patients’ health problems. That policy will take effect over three years instead of one year, after the proposal drew fierce criticism from the industry.

He is now messing with a whole lot of folks who do reliably vote, and I hope to God they see thru this piece of trash. He is giving the people of this country the middle finger everyday, from giving our hard earned entitlements, social security and medicare to illegals he has rolled out the red carpet for, to proping up other countries that he is getting kickbacks from, namely the Ukraine and who knows what he is giving China in return for money paid to his crime family. This fool has sold out the American people, has trampled on our irights and now is going to make sure those who depend on Medicare and SS have an even tougher time just to live. Seniors like to believe that receiving social security and medicare is merely being paid back with their own money. The fact is, depending on longevity, we are paid back far more than we ever paid in. The programs have never been funded properly and right now are unsustainable. Having said that, these are benefits that most seniors are completely dependent on due to corrupt, incompetent nanny state government. That’s why it is politically untouchable. Biden’s handlers have just blown up any chance he would actually be re-elected.

There would be plenty of money to pay for Social Security and Medicare if our Government would quit handing Billions to other countries. Time to take a hard look where every Penny goes. I would bet we wouldn't have to take away the Income of Seniors or their Health Care Coverage. By the way, Thousands in the Community I live in have Medicare Advantage (including me). We love it!

Biden has already decreased the value of cash and saving by 10%. Everyday there is more things being denied to the middle class. Lightbulbs coming, gas stoves. The washing machines, dishwashers don't work. The EV's are worthless trash. Everything is more expensive: food, electricity, housing, medical care. Biden cuts Medicare Advantage, after increasing the costs of maintaining a person's health by his policies. BTW, I have paid into ss and medicare for over 50 years, am still working. I am not going to get back what I paid in.

Social Security was founded on the idea that people would PAY IN MUCH MORE than they would ever get back of their own money. At the time of it inception, people only lived an average of 67 years. Now people are living longer, well into their 70's and in some cases 80's. Like insurance, it is a pyramid scheme with more people paying in than who eceive benefits. At least with multi-level marketing there can be a way for it to work if there are products and services which do no gyp the participants. The pyramid means that if a spouse dies, the survivor can get something back while they are alive, but when they die, there is NO WAY to pass on the benefits to the survivors. One strange part of that is it the husband had had 10 wives before passing, each wife would get paid the survivor's benefit....The rest of the money paid into the system that is not paid out is swallowed up by the system. Now with ILLEGAL ALIENS getting it who have NOT PAID INTO THE SYSTEM, the collapse is getting here sooner than anticipated. If THEY pay into the system, it may last longer. There always have to be a smaller number getting the benefits than the base who pay in. W Bush wanted to try to fix the inevitable pitfalls ahead but the Dems claimed it was sacred and THEIR duty and that THEY would do it. Solvency is only guaranteed at about 70% when the system fails, and then MONEY will be printed at an ever growing rate-- and the more money printed, the more USELESS if becomes in value and when a dollar has no value, it will increasingly become like Germany before WWII. Just think how much more expensive the same items have become in the last two years, and you will see a premonition of things to come. Prepare now not to depend on the government while there is still time.

This war was lost the very moment that healthcare services were somehow elevated to a human right. Healthcare and medicine are SERVICES, plain and simple. If you pay for insurance then you are paying for a future service as a member of a pool of insureds. But NOBODY has a moral right to demand services that they do not pay for.

When I wrote about Rebekah Jones’ son’s arrest I relied upon the reporting of the Journal for the facts of the case. I chose to do so despite there being a Miami Herald story because it was biased and left out the most important point: he wasn’t arrested for sharing memes, as they claimed, but for making threats to shoot up a school. That’s a bit different. The Herald is still soft-pedaling the story and pushing the notion that Jones is being persecuted somehow. And Jones is tweeting up a storm with an ever-changing story. It is a remarkable example of gaslighting, and the Herald is crying about being criticized

In columns over the years, and on countless media appearances in which I’m asked for my opinion about various California Democrats seeking higher office, I’ve consistently made the observation that California Democrats have a very tough time getting traction outside of the state because they’ve never been challenged on their positions or been held accountable by the media in any way. They don’t even need to give campaign speeches or long-form interviews because at this point they don’t need to. So, like Kamala Harris, once the rest of the country gets to see what they’re all about, they’re not fans.

Kacsmaryk, a Trump appointee, held a hearing on the issue on March 15 in Amarillo, Texas, where the conservative plaintiffs in the case argued the Food and Drug Administration was wrong to approve mifepristone.
