A fire that broke out inside the men’s section of a migrant detention facility in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, has claimed the lives of at least 39 individuals. According to the National Institute of Migration (INM), a Mexican federal agency, a total of 68 men from Central and South America were in the building at the time of the fire. “It is with deep sadness and grief that we learned of the fire that occurred inside the INM in Ciudad Juárez,” the city’s federal deputy, Andrea Chavez, tweeted on Tuesday. “We will wait for the official information and, from this moment on, we send our condolences to the families of the migrants.

It's a puzzle to me as to how they get from Venezuela to the US border. I know those with money use the smugglers but it's a long way to travel. Airline travel would seem to cost more than these illegals can afford. Buses? Help along the way? Walking all the way would take months not to mention the cost of food while traveling. Maybe the Democrats are sending our tax dollars to move them here. It would not surprise me.

Remember the article is talking about a fire that was started inside a detention facility by detained individuals some of who died as a result that occurred in a third world country where the smuggling of all forms of contraband, especially dangerous illicit drugs and illegal aliens into the USA has become a way of life. Don’t be surprised if Biden does not come out and claim that is too dangerous for migrants to be detained in Mexico and that instead they must be allowed to gain entry to the USA, so in that respect all so-called migrants, who are in reality prospective illegal aliens, must be waived into the USA as their safety is more important than the effective enforcement of the US immigration laws.

Somebody...likely leftists, perhaps even aligned with Red Cross or Catholic Charities, instigated this "Protest" that killed or injured nearly every person in the facility. There is a narrow spot in mexico, from Vera cruz to the Pacific, only 120miles wide, where the USA already has a "Right of way" by international treaty., already built a road and railway, at one point was going to Ship ships, by rail, prior to the Panama Canal. It would be a perfect and easy location for a Mexican Wall. Due to geographical features, existing highways, and natural contours, it makes 100% logical, economic and geopolitical sense to stop migrants there. Hold them as needed, or facilitate their removal back from whence they came. Until the wall there is built(perhaps with an intermodal line and updated port facilities on each end)...."Migrants" might be offered JOBS, similar to the Erie canal, or the USA's trans con railroads

“John Wick: Chapter 4” has been doing gangbusters since its opening weekend, annihilating every other movie, including DC’s latest superhero offering “Shazam 2,” and according to the stats, it’s good old toxic masculinity that’s taking it to the top. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the primary driving force for Wick’s success is men, who have been flocking to the theaters to see the film: John Wick 4‘s performance was fueled by males, who made up nearly 70 percent of ticket buyers, while more than 55 percent of the audience was between ages 18-34, according to PostTrak. So it looks like the battle between Gov. DeSantis and Disney isn’t over yet. In January a DeSantis spokesperson announced that “The corporate kingdom has come to an end.” But the new board members weren’t actually in place until the end of February after DeSantis signed a law to put them there. Capping a year-long feud with one of the state’s largest employers, DeSantis signed into law a bill officially granting a new state-appointed board the responsibilities of Disney’s Reedy Creek Improvement District and named a slate of conservative leaders. The newly appointed members of the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District include Bridget Ziegler,

The Senate on Wednesday passed a bill that would end the national Covid-19 emergency declared by then-President Donald Trump on March 13, 2020. The final vote was overwhelmingly bipartisan, 68-23. The joint resolution, which cleared the House earlier this year, now heads to President Joe Biden's desk. The vote comes on the heels of two other successful efforts led by Republicans in approving legislation rescinding Biden administration policies. A White House official said in a statement to CNN that while the President “strongly opposes” this bill, the administration is already winding down the emergency by May 11

Pope Francis was hospitalized with a lung infection Wednesday after experiencing difficulty breathing in recent days and will remain in the hospital for several days of treatment, the Vatican said. The 86-year-old pope doesn't have Covid-19, spokesman Matteo Bruni said in a statement late Wednesday. The hospitalization was the first since Francis spent 10 days at the Gemelli in July 2021 to have 33 centimeters (13 inches) of his colon removed. It immediately raised questions about Francis' overall health, and his ability to celebrate the busy Holy Week events that are due to begin this weekend with Palm Sunday.

Most Republicans do not believe that former President Donald Trump should be disqualified from running for the White House if he faces criminal charges, according to a new poll from Quinnipiac University. The Manhattan District Attorney's office has been investigating Trump related to alleged hush money payments to an adult film star who claimed she had an affair with Trump, all ahead of his 2016 campaign. While Trump said this month he expected to be arrested in the probe, no charges have been announced and the New York grand jury considering the case is not expected to be asked to vote on an indictment this week, NBC News is reporting.

The US Senate voted on Wednesday to repeal the resolution that gave a green light for the 2003 invasion of Iraq, an effort to return a basic war power to Congress from the White House 20 years after an authorization many now say was a mistake. Iraqi deaths are estimated in the hundreds of thousands and nearly 5,000 US troops were killed after George W Bush’s administration falsely claimed Saddam Hussein was stockpiling weapons of mass destruction. “This body rushed into a war,” said the Virginia senator Tim Kaine, a Democrat who has pushed for years to repeal the powers, adding that the Iraq war has had “massive consequences”.
