Board transferred all it's power to Disney
shortly before DeSantis' appointees took over

So it looks like the battle between Gov. DeSantis and Disney isn’t over yet. In January a DeSantis spokesperson announced that “The corporate kingdom has come to an end.” But the new board members weren’t actually in place until the end of February after DeSantis signed a law to put them there. Capping a year-long feud with one of the state’s largest employers, DeSantis signed into law a bill officially granting a new state-appointed board the responsibilities of Disney’s Reedy Creek Improvement District and named a slate of conservative leaders. The newly appointed members of the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District include Bridget Ziegler,

This sounds familiar to an event of the Georgia school board. In the 1990's(i think it was) for the first time in a long time(perhaps ever) a Republican was elected to be head of the state school board. So the board which was controlled by Democrats and teachers union advocates immediately changed the rules of the board to remove all the powers from the head of the board so that when the Republican got in she would be powerless. This was such an outrage that the governor stepped in and fired everyone on the board and replaced them with members that would restore the power. It seems like I am remembering that that governor at the time was a Democrat.

How many lawyers did DeSantis assign to write that bill? Not one foresaw the possibility of of this? Nor DeSantis? Was this just a meaningless headline-grabbing gesture from an aspiring presidential candidate?

Void ab initio. Void ab initio means that a legal document, contract, agreement, or transaction is legally void from the start. Wishing upon a star - as Disney does, does not make it so. A board giving the "rights" to a bank the ability for that bank's executives to rob said bank without fear of legal repercussions lasts about as long as a popcorn (you know the rest).

Totally BS move by Disney. The legislature is in no mood for their crap, and can just wipe this out with the stroke of a pen. An agency which is going away cannot create restrictions on the state over what the state will do with lands that they previous agency has lost control over. Just wishful thinking and the "21 years after last surviving .......King Charles III".....what a bunch of stupid hokum from the idiot Disney lawyers.

Re: #7 - It appears you didn't read the article, but by your logic, did your guy or his celebrity lawyers not see the peril of the J6 "rally" being held in the the strongest of the democrat strongholds, or did he just not care about the fate of his faithful supporters. There is no need to continue Trump v DeSantis, as Bragg just handed the '24 nomination to Trump and with it, a most likely second term.

Healthy children and teens likely don’t need COVID-19 vaccinations, according to updated guidance posted on the website of the World Health Organization (WHO) on Tuesday. WHO’s Strategic Advisory Group of Experts on Immunization (SAGE) met last week to create a revised roadmap for COVID vaccinations. The new roadmap defines three priority groups — high, medium and low — based on the "risk of severe disease and death" when contracting the virus. Healthy kids between 6 months and 17 years old are now deemed low priority. The agency said that for this group, "traditional essential vaccines" for illnesses like rotavirus, measles, polio and pneumococcal conjugate have a greater impact.

When you’re a far-leftist district attorney prosecuting the man the left hates the most, and you have lost the Washington Post, you might want to rethink your position. This is the situation in which New York District Attorney Alvin Bragg finds himself as he continues functioning as the head of the progressive spear to be used to kill former President Donald Trump’s chances of occupying the White House once again. The Post’s editorial board published an op-ed titled “The Trump indictment is a poor test case for prosecuting a former president,” in which the authors cast doubt on the chances that Bragg will be able to carry out a successful prosecution

Judge Juan Merchan is the trial judge presiding over the case, which stems from District Attorney Alvin Bragg's investigation into alleged hush money payments Trump made to porn star Stormy Daniels in 2016. Trump is scheduled to be arraigned at 2:15 p.m. in Merchan's courtroom on the 15th floor at 100 Centre Street in New York City. In addition to Trump's personal attorney Joe Tacopina, a second source has confirmed that Trump has made arrangements with the district attorney's legal team

Earlier today, I wrote about how the outgoing board of Disney’s Reedy Creek Improvement District (RCID), the quasi-governmental agency that ran Disney’s Florida properties until Gov. Ron DeSantis and the state legislature dissolved it, enacted a series of covenants and development agreements that purported to keep control of the district in the company’s hands. The new board for the renamed Central Florida Tourism District — which DeSantis handpicked and put in place — worried that the actions neutralized the board’s authority, but Disney forgot who it was messing with. “We’re going to have to deal with it and correct it,” board member Brian Aungst Jr. told the Orlando Sentinel.
