The U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia declined to prosecute the vast majority of arrests made in the nation's capital last year, according to a new report. U.S. Attorney Matthew Graves, who was appointed by President Biden, declined to prosecute 67% of those arrested in the city in 2021. While critics argue Graves is leaving criminals on the street, he states that the majority of the declinations are for nonviolent crimes, like gun possession, drug possession and burglaries. "I can promise you, it’s not MPD holding the bag on this. That’s B.S.," D.C. Police Chief Robert Contee told The Washington Post. "Of course we are concerned. We believe

nonviolent crimes, like gun possession, drug possession and burglaries. I thought the Democrats wanted guns taken off the streets, instead they call gun possession a non-violent crime Burglaries too are non-violent unless the victim wakes up. So they declined to prosecute 67% 0f crimes committed by 95% blacks. See the pattern here?

DC when created was a Haven for Black People and has been 70% or higher ever since...Even though Congress used to have some control over the governance, that has been greatly eroded over the years. Home Rule has afforded the resident more control over their lives ...Hence they've had so many Mayors who are Convicted Criminal scum Like Marion Berry...I got think Bowser isn't that much different. Given the foregoing, What the hell else can one expect?

Donald Trump faces more than 30 counts related to business fraud in an indictment from a Manhattan grand jury, according to two sources familiar with the case – the first time in American history that a current or former president has faced criminal charges. Trump is expected to appear in court on Tuesday. The indictment has been filed under seal and will be announced in the coming days. The charges are not publicly known at this time. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office has been investigating the former president in connection with his alleged role in a hush money payment scheme and cover-up involving adult film star Stormy Daniels

House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA) said in a statement on Thursday that the indictment of former President Donald Trump was the “clearest example” of Democrats using the government to target their political opponents. Scalise, the number two Republican in the House, said in a written statement, “The sham New York indictment of President Donald Trump is one of the clearest examples of extremist Democrats weaponizing government to attack their political opponents. Outrageous.” Scalise released his reaction as a Manhattan grand jury voted to indict Trump on Thursday for “his role in paying hush money to a porn star,” according to the New York Times.

Entrepreneur and 2024 Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy slammed the indictment of former President Donald Trump as a “dark moment in American history” and “un-American.” “The politically motivated indictment of the 45th President of the United States marks a dark moment in American history. It will undermine public trust in our electoral system & justice system,” he tweeted. “It is un-American for the ruling party to use police power to arrest its political rivals. Principles go beyond partisanship. Let the American people decide who governs,” he added.

I previously wrote about polls including the Monmouth Poll indicating former President Donald Trump developing a lead over Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for the Republican presidential nomination. While Trump has declared for 2024, DeSantis has not yet formally declared, although every sign would indicate that he intends to run. The Monmouth Poll had showed a steady rise in the poll for Trump since January. After the news that an indictment might be dropped on Trump by the Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, his lead continued to climb. It was announced on Thursday that the New York grand jury had voted to indict Trump. But a poll

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has swiftly responded to the partisan indictment of Donald Trump. In a statement posted to Twitter, DeSantis denounced the weaponization of the legal system to promote political agendas, and called out Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s soft-on-crime record, contrasting it with his current willingness to stretch the law to target political opponents by stretching the law to its limits. “The weaponization of the legal system to advance a political agenda turns the rule of law on its head. So the Democrats decided to indict Donald Trump after all. (I assume that Alvin Bragg would not have proceeded without a green light from higher-ups in the party.) Here, as in so many other areas, we are in uncharted waters. The Democrats have launched a sort of blitzkrieg against our traditions, our Constitution, our culture (at least, our culture as it was), and every form of restraint that makes civil society possible. They have unleashed a wind, and seem serenely confident that they will never face a whirlwind. I don’t know, maybe they are right. I do know that after today, our country will never be the same again.

The NYPD is beefing up its presence as newly indicted former President Donald Trump is expected to surrender early next week, sources told The Post Thursday. Prosecutors with Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office — which filed an unprecedented indictment against Trump, 76, related to hush-money payments made to porn star Stormy Daniels — wanted him arraigned Friday, sources said. But Trump’s lawyers wouldn’t agree to that and instead, he’ll turn himself in next week, possibly as early as Monday, the sources added. In a statement, Bragg said his office was in touch with Trump’s legal team on a surrender date. “This evening we contacted Mr. Trump’s attorney to coordinate his surrender

After a radicalized transgender shooter killed six people at a Nashville Christian school, authorities revealed that she had left a manifesto and strongly hinted that it revealed the motivation behind the horrendous crime. Incredibly, Merrick Garland, the politicized head of the DOJ, insisted that the motive was a mystery that was being investigated. Local law enforcement also indicated that the manifesto wouldn’t be released, a decision that ran contrary to how supposed right-wing shooters have been handled in the past. A new report indicates a change on the matter, though, with a Nashville City Councilman definitely stating that the manifesto will be released

Police officers are getting plowed over right now by mobs of screaming protesters at the Tennessee capitol. It’s absolute chaos there as anti-gun nuts have broken into the chamber and shut down the People’s business, chanting something about justice and guns. They pushed through a line of state troopers to access the chamber. Oddly, it doesn’t look like anyone is getting arrested, pepper sprayed, tuned up with billy clubs, or hauled off to prison on charges of “sedition.” We’ve returned to the status quo, where anyone on the left can break any law they wish and no one will go to jail. And if they are arrested, they’ll be bailed

The decision and Trump's appeal were filed under seal because of the active grand jury investigation.
