Liz Cheney: ‘Spend Less Time Banning
Books’ and More Stopping Gun Violence

Original Article

Former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) called on Republicans to spend less time on the banning of books in schools and more time stopping gun violence. Cheney issued her comments in praise of Jenna Bush Hager, the daughter of former President George W. Bush, who said on NBC that Republicans need to worry more about making kids safe.“I have a friend in Nashville. So I knew of one of the little girls. Who is 9. Who went to school yesterday and who didn’t get to come home. So, when Henry came home from work, I said, ‘Did you see this?’ I had to whisper, because I have a 9-year-old,”

It's all so easy if one simply disregards our Constitutional rights of the law-abiding, while also giving short shrift as to existing laws to swiftly and severely punishing criminals who use guns in criminal acts. While mass shootings often meet a tragic finality such as this - what's that percentage of Chicago and other big-city individual gun crimes left unresolved? By the way - do gun buyer background checks include a social/mental health evaluation? Should they? Maybe they shouldn't sell guns to folks who create 'manifestos' and go off on unhinged rants on social media.

Liz Cheney, (aka Karen Beeswax) must be working on a Woke Merit Badge. She used her imagination to comment that ''knowing'' someone in Nashville automatically gave her entry comment that she ''knew one of the little girls'' who died yesterday at the hands of a trans freak. The Hale woman (shooter) performed a suicide-by-cop maneuver.

Exposing young kids to porn (i.e., the books being "banned") damages them. Would it surprise anyone that this damage leads to violence--especially when fueled with "gender affirming" testosterone supplements and/or "antidepressants." Go hide under a rock, Liz. You sold out and no one wants to hear from you.

Here’s how you stop gun violence: First, you arrest, prosecute, try, and convict repeat offenders. Second, you take seriously all reports of threatened violence. Third, if you’re POTUS, you don’t tell the press that the buck stops at Congress instead of your own desk. Fourth, you pass an executive order that anyone who threatens violence or carries out violence will never get press about it. You don’t blame the guns. America has had peaceful gun owners since its Founding and there were almost no illegal mass shootings in schools or anywhere else. It’s not the guns. It’s the culture: You don’t make school shootings glamorous by covering them ad nauseam in social media or the press. You teach children how to behave and you punish them when they don’t. You instill God into their lives so that there is a hellfire price to pay for doing evil things. The shooter said “something bad is going to happen.” She embraced the “bad” because she wanted to go out in a blaze of publicity. She knew what she was going to do was “bad.” She also knew that people “would read about her in the news.” Those were her incentives: “bad” and “news.” You take away those things and you cut down the risk of such shootings. Finally, you take mental health issues seriously and you put people who threaten violence away until they’re better. This isn’t rocket surgery, it’s just that Americans are too wussy to go there.

I didn’t know about objections to judy blume books -which i‘ve never read personally - but honestly — these are not the books that are being spoken about in school board meetings. This is a tactic to make us look extremist, when the overwhelming uproar today is about books that contain graphic descriptions of sexual acts. None of them can defend the porn so they pretend it’s about something else.

Liz shut up. Some books are full of filth thus are not age appropriate and people kill not guns. Why are adults allowed to roam halls of schools without constant security supervision these days? Also it is banned guns that get kids killed. If teachers were not banned from having guns in classrooms , school shootings might not be a problem. I am sure the folks killed and faced with an active shooter last thoughts are oh I wish I had another book or eraser to throw at them. Was this not the answer you fellow liberals had for classroom attacks - is to throw erasers and books. This could kill two birds with one stone. For there are plenty of books that are not age appropriate in school libraries these days , thanks to liberals like you Liz, such books would be good weapons against would be assailants/attackers
