The Louisville, Colorado City Council is facing harsh criticism after its recent proposal to ban the construction of new gas stations and auto service stations. Though council members say the ban is an effort to combat climate change, one local Republican spokesperson called it an abuse of power. If enacted, the ban would leave the 21,000 residents of Louisville with only six gas stations. A seventh would be permitted under the ordinance only if it were part of a large retail center. Charlie Danaher, the Republican spokesperson in Boulder County, Colorado, said on "Fox & Friends First" Thursday that the

The long term strategic plan of most major petro-electric energy companies is to turn such gas/convenience locations into a primary point for major"supercharger" neighborhood nodes.

Welcome to the People's Republic of Colorado. Thanks to all the Californians and stoners who migrated here to escape the hot mess that they made in California, Colorado is now adopting all the stupid ideas that made California the disaster it is today - homeless encampments, bring your own bag to the grocery store, no gas stations, "free" lunches for all students regardless of need, abortion on demand, magic mushrooms, assault weapons ban, restricting landlord rights and so on.

What next from these fanatics? No one in Louisville can have a gas powered lawn mower, a gas stove, a propane tank? Congratulations. You will have just lowered the world's annual average temperature by .0000000000000001 degrees, but by golly, you have done your part.

I wonder how much $$ the existing gas station owners paid the town council members, or whether the council members themselves own the gas stations. Look for gas in that town to go up considerably since they will be limiting competition.

The African country of Tanzania reported its first-ever outbreak of Marburg disease, which has so far resulted in eight total cases and five deaths. The Ebola-related virus was also responsible for additional lab-confirmed illnesses stemming from a February outbreak in Equatorial Guinea, which has so far sickened nine patients, seven of which have died. In a statement issued earlier this week, the World Health Organization has said an additional 161 people — all considered “contacts” of those sickened — were being monitored for symptoms. “The efforts by Tanzania’s health authorities to establish the cause of the disease is a clear

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The Minnesota House was moving Thursday toward strengthening the state's protections for children and their families who come for gender-affirming care by making Minnesota a “trans refuge state,” bucking a national backlash against transgender rights. Democratic Gov. Tim Walz signed an executive order two weeks ago to protect the rights of people from Minnesota and other states to receive gender-affirming health care in the state. The bill on which the House was slated to begin debate Thursday night covers much of the same ground, but supporters said a statute would provide stronger, more permanent protections. Passage
