Former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) slammed the New York and Georgia investigations into former President Trump as being part of a “cancer in our body politic,” arguing they are politically motivated. Cuomo told John Catsimatidis, who hosts the talk radio show “The Cats Roundtable,” in an interview on WABC 770 that he expects Trump will be indicted in Manhattan next week. He said he “doesn’t understand” why Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D) is “putting such an emphasis” on the case investigating a hush-money payment made to adult film star Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 presidential election.

So Cuomo will make his comeback initially getting conservatives to agree with his broad statements. Fox will parrot his “good” comments. He’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing, This is just him testing-the-waters.

I really hope Cats isn't thinking of giving Andy a show on WABC. An hour of Mark Levin was preempted this week for a call-in with Cuomo. I shut that off immediately, and I'm sure I wasn't the only one. I don't need to hear anything from that desperate-for-a-comeback creep.

He's right. Bringing weak charges against political candidates makes the political motivation obvious. Prosecutors are not supposed to bring charges against anyone uniess they have a strong case. Just charging someone is harmful in terms of harm to reputation, cost and emotional distress. Other political figures, including Obama and Hillary Clinton, have only been assessed civil fines for campaign violations. Even if this is a state law case, the optics are really bad.

Cuomo is living proof that the far left does not play well with others. They got rid of him when they saw an opportunity to install an even bigger lefty than Cuomo. Just look at the changes in NY politics since Cuomo got the heave ho. I don't agree with Cuomo's politics, but he did indeed get railroaded by the same people that are trying to railroad Trump.

Was it so when the NY grand jury was just sitting and taking testimony? No, not until FPDT detonated this foolishness in their faces with his announced "expecting" to be arrested...and then the BANG! enveloped everyone, from these cheap pol Dems to Trump's (potential) '24 opponents. Suddenly, guys like Cuomo find fault with their own tactics. The fallout from al this is far from over. Wait to see whether an indictment is returned, or whether there is prosecution if one is. FPDT masterfully served the American political scene one giant platter of crap sandwiches that will take time the media and the Dems to swallow and digest.

After Dianne Feinstein: as a political

When Dianne Feinstein arrived in Washington in 1992, her home state of California was solidly purple and Republican Pete Wilson occupied the governor’s office. More than 30 years later, as the oldest member of Congress and California’s longest serving senator prepares to retire, her state is arguably the most reliably blue in the US. Feinstein’s protracted career as a senator also charts the rise of California as a political power player on Capitol Hill, whose 55 electoral votes – the largest block by far, with Texas and Florida as distant seconds – have helped guarantee a Democrat in the White House for six out of the last eight terms.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) is recalibrating his strategy and messaging amid signs that his presidential ambitions may be faltering before his campaign even gets off the ground. DeSantis began the year with clear momentum in the nascent GOP presidential primary, topping former President Trump in head-to-head polling and drawing unparalleled interest from Republican voters and operatives eager to see a fresh face at the helm of the party. But there are signs that his momentum may be stalling: he’s faced weeks of relentless attacks from Trump and his allies, fellow Republicans have criticized him for dubbing Russia’s invasion of Ukraine “a territorial dispute”
