World Health Organization: 'Millions'
Will Die From Eating Too Much Salt Without
Government Intervention

Needless to say, I don’t often write about such things as healthy diets and lifestyles — which is not to say I don’t adhere to both — but when the World Health Organization calls on member governments to pass strict limitations on what I can eat and how much of it, it gets my attention — and should get yours, as well. Again, my stance, particularly in this case, shouldn’t be confused with opposition to the current culprit in the spotlight: salt. Specifically, excessive consumption of salt. While I agree in principle with the notion, I don’t agree that it’s the job of the federal government to look

Since prepared food is so common now, how come people, as a rule, live much longer than centuries ago? Heh?

I had a couple of different doctors tell me I needed to watch my salt, so I watched my diet and kept track of the sodium in everything and I was below what they recommended. We don't eat many prepared foods and I cook pretty much from scratch. Guess where all that salt is that they think we use too much of. And #5, I'm with you about the french fries - one of the few things I really salt :)

Some people have a salt sensitivity that causes health issues. Some don't. It is not universal. I have a friend that does. He feels it is genetic as his dad does too. I have always been a salt fiend as is my 83 yo mom. Our BP rarely gets above 120/80. In fact we usually run low if not very low. We probably NEED the salt we crave to keep our BP regular. I mean animals instinctively know they need salt and mineral blocks to get the correct nutrients to survive.

Salt is essential for human life and in human history has not only been used to preserve meat and fish; it has been used to disinfect wounds and used as currency. As such, the word, "salary" was derived from the word, "salt." Even today, salt is far more valuable to humankind than the neocommunist WHO and their loyal followers in the Biden administration. At various places and times, salt was as valuable in trade as gold.

There are many different types of salt, all with varying sodium content. If the WHO were more interested in world health than they are authoritarian proclamations about what people should or shouldn’t eat they would research this and make some healthy recommendations. They cannot control what people do except through fear.

I got out of the hospital last week. Unbeknownst to me, the doctor put me on a heart healthy diet. No salt on ANYTHING!! Grits without salt is wallpaper paste. Mashed potatoes without salt are thicker wallpaper paste. Scrambled eggs without salt are not worth the calories or effort to choke them down. French fries without salt are also not worth the calories or effort to chew them. After a few days, I had my dad smuggle me a salt shaker so I could actually taste something. It was bordering on ridiculous!! I am a responsible adult who is plenty able to monitor my own salt intake!! They will get my pink sea salt only out of my cold dead hands!!!

If you have congestive heart failure and or high blood pressure, high salt intake can be lethal over time. The amount of sodium in prepared foods, canned foods and restaurant food is actually staggering. I don't need the government to step in and regulate salt content. I just wish that we had more low sodium alternatives. But there's a reason for all of that salt. Salt makes stuff taste soooo much better. Before I spent a week in the hospital with congestive heart failure....I was a salt fiend. And I really miss bacon.

Three closely watched ailing senators remain away from the Capitol this week and it’s not clear when they will return. One of them, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, has spoken directly with some members of his leadership team and conveyed to them he is doing well and anxious to get back to work. Meanwhile, Sen. John Fetterman, a Pennsylvania Democrat, continues to make progress in his treatment for clinical depression at Walter Reed Medical Center while also staying in close contact with key members of his staff, according to a source familiar with the situation. Joe and Jill Biden on Thursday traveled to Ottawa, Canada to participate in a greet with Mary Simon, the Governor General of Canada and her husband, Whit Fraser. Dr. Jill opened her big fat mouth in the beginning of the meeting and mumbled something stupid about global warming. “Well, it’s been really warm because of global warming in the United States,” Dr. Jill said. On the West Coast — a great deal of rain and a lot of forest fires — we’ve had a tough year due to global warming,” Joe Biden said. Brilliant.

Recruitment in our newly woke military is down across every division and the leaders of our armed forces don’t know why or are pretending not to know why. The reasons are obvious to millions of average of Americans, some who served and even those who did not. A team of election experts in New Mexico uncovered an election system that is being used in that state and multiple other states that do not comply with election laws. Election experts in New Mexico established that the post-election canvass reports in all 33 New Mexico Counties are being illegally prepared. Complete election records are being uploaded to an uncertified, centralized software under the control of the Secretary of State (SOS) called SERVIS, which is then used to create the official election results. Use of any uncertified software for this part of the election process is a violation of federal and state law.

The student who was accused of shooting and wounding two workers at his Denver high school has been found dead by police. The Park County Coroners Office confirmed that they found 17-year-old Austin Lyle's body near his car in an apparent suicide, local reports said. Lyle was accused of shooting faculty members as they were patting him down for weapons as part of a 'safety plan' devised for the youth based on previous behavioral issues. The East High School student fled the shooting scene on foot immediately after Wednesday's violence, which unfolded just before 10am local time. Denver Police Department had said in a

In recent years, the U.S. has suffered recurring banking crises almost like clockwork. Indeed, about every 10 years or so we seem to go through another financial panic, only to be followed by a spate of bad regulations passed to ensure “it won’t happen again.” But it always does. So how do we end this cycle? U.S. banking disasters plagued the late 20th century and early 21st century. But of course they go back long before even that, to 1907 and 1929, as two examples. More recently, there was the 1980s and ’90s savings and loan crisis, the 1998 collapse of Long-Term Capital Management and global crisis, the 2007 financial crisis
