Remembering Rush Limbaugh: Inspiring and
Hilarious Quotes from El Rushbo

Original Article

Two years ago today, Feb. 17, Rush Limbaugh passed away. It is undeniable that he left a gaping hole that no one else can fill; he invented a new kind of conservative media, and he certainly did it best. Rush Limbaugh had a genius for talk radio, and part of that genius was that many people who never even met him felt that when he died, they lost a friend. But I think the best way to remember Limbaugh is by letting him speak for himself, so I want to share a few of the most memorable quotes from the “Mayor of Realville,”

Comments:

I wish he was here to comment on the FJB mal-administration!! He'd have PLENTY to say!!

How many wonder what Rush would be saying about everything that’s happening in the US right now? He understood the liberal mind like no one else, and when he would say “don’t doubt me”, I knew he was on target. God, I miss his brilliant mind. If we were traveling, we’d search the car radio for him from noon to three.

"Dittos" to my fellow Ldotters! Like so many, so often we think, "I Wonder what Rush would be saying." Or, "Remember when Rush said this?" Or, "I learned so much about (for example) baseline budgeting!" lol lol And yes, he made us laugh, man did he make us laugh! God bless and comfort Catherine and the Limbaugh family today, especially.

We were so blessed to have Rush pass his wit and wisdom on to us. This article is a great refresher of his insights and one that should be kept for frequent reference in the months and years ahead. God grant Rush Limbaugh the Eternal Rest, and may the Perpetual Light shine upon him. Amen.

I can remember when he was 1st getting started, the 1st I "Heard" of him was bumperstickers that said "Rush is RIGHT!". The lefts response was to hand out bumperstickers that said "Rush is right...FAT!" Their 1st response was...and still is...ad hominem. Soon after I started hearing him on the radio...on nearly every construction site all across the country, the radio was tuned to Rush. He is the one that made Newt famous, had the obscure history professor/Congressman from Georgia on regularly and help create the Republican Revolution. Soon after he had John Kasich on regularly to explain budgetary matters...leading to the 1st balanced budget in a generation or more.(Back when Kasich was actually a conservative) Even his guests, and eventually guest hosts, Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, Mark Steyn,, Tony Snow, Robert Novak...That got me to start tuning in the Sunday morning "Shout Shows" where a conservative voice was actually heard, as opposed to during the week when it was absent. It can rarely, honestly, be stated about someone that "They changed the WORLD", Rush did.

When Rush left us, I thought upon this Robert Burns quote: 'if there's another world he lives in bliss; if there is none, he made the best of this.' In addition to his incomparable political acumen, his wit and wordsmithing, he had unfailing good humor, and a gentlemanly way with callers. And...for myself personally, I am grateful that he turned me on to the magnificent Christmas music of Mannheim Steamroller. Thanks, Rush!

I can’t count the times that I’ve read an article here & wished so badly to hear Rush “making the complex understandable” for those who didn’t grasp the meaning, or the significance of what was/is happening. Sometimes I think that’s much of the reason why the Left has gotten by with so much since Rush has been gone. Rush’s voice isn’t going out on the air to millions of listeners, & breaking it down & explaining its asininity and/or its importance. My heart and prayers are with David & Kathryn & the whole Limbaugh family - including the family of “Dittoheads” & Rush babies”. We will never forget Rush, & we will always love him. I believe he was as important to the freedom of our country in his time as was any freedom fighter in our history. His influence lingers. So very thankful to have been a student at “The EIB Limbaugh Institute”.

I believe that the installed Biden regime would not be pushing these destructive policies as aggressively if Rush was still alive and broadcasting. With his mega daily audience of at least 25 million Americans, I truly believe he was feared not only by the Obamas, Bidens, Pelosis et.al, but also the media. I think he kept them in check. I know we have all been saying, imagine what Rush would be saying about this or that. But, the truly shocking and nauseating thing happening today, among many disgusting things, is the grooming and mutilation of our children. Imagine what Rush would be saying about that, and HOW he would be saying it. Imagine the succinct arguments he would be making. I miss and think of Rush nearly everyday at noon here on the east coast. I miss him as I miss deceased members of my family. Rest in Peace, Maha Rusihe.

Lately I've been remembering how Rush used to say the Democrats want to eliminate elections. I didn't quite get his gist or believe him until the 2020 and 2022 elections, when we the people were denied the representation that we elected. Sadly, we've been watching Rush's prediction play out and i have little hope we can reverse this devastating course.

To those of us who listened, we were educated. He made the complex simple to understand. I would highly recommend his last book "Radio's Greatest of All Time" with content by Rush himslef and with comment by his brother David and his wife Kathryn. It brings a little fond memory of him and helps to honor him and to help give some closure. Also, many of his radio shows are archived on the internet! I listened to one from June 1st 1990 yesterday of his local radio show for the New York audience before also doing his regular National broadcast when he was collecting pictures of female listeners as a prank, and could not believe it was so long ago. The 12 podcasts that James "Snerdly" Golden put out last year are still available and they will give you background on how Rush really was off the air and how magnanimous he was to use his fame and celebrity to raise MILLIONS of dollars to be given away to charity. He left us too early and I am thankful and proud that I was a listener from the beginning in the summer of 1988!

It’s been a day of the left and their fellow travelers throwing tantrums over Tucker Carlson’s coverage of the Jan. 6 video footage. I wrote earlier about Tucker’s coverage as well as Adam Kinzinger’s continued meltdown. There have been a lot of bad takes. But perhaps one of the worst came from documentary filmmaker Ken Burns, the guy known for his history documentaries. Now I must admit to having watched some of his work, including on the Civil War and the history of baseball, and enjoying it. If you liked his work and thought he sounded knowledgeable, you may want to adjust your opinion after this.

Missouri started this battle back in 2021 when Governor Mike Parsons signed the “Second Amendment Preservation Act” (SAPA) into law. The Act’s language is quite plain, allowing local law enforcement to refuse to cooperate with any federal law enforcement action that seeks to confiscate the guns of its citizens. The law also penalizes any local LE agencies who refuse to adhere to the law. Newton County, Missouri, was the first to kick things off, and other Missouri counties followed suit. Biden’s Department of Justice, which hasn’t found a civil liberties infringement it hasn’t liked, decided it needed to oppose the State of Missouri, claiming it violated the Supremacy Clause.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) released 44,000 hours of previously unseen footage of the Capitol riot to Tucker Carlson, triggering the left, which has so carefully crafted a bogus narrative that the riot was an insurrection, or, as Biden likes to claim, “the worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War.” Now that we’re starting to see footage that the anti-Trump J6 committee didn’t want us to see, that narrative is falling apart — and the answer to that, apparently, is censorship. On Tuesday, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) literally called for Fox News CEO Rupert Murdoch to stop Tucker Carlson from releasing the politically inconvenient footage.

Anyone can stand at a podium and accept adulation. Real leadership involves having the humility to remain standing upright while accepting blame when you’ve failed the people you’re responsible for instead of conveniently leaning on a readily available crutch. But then, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot never was much of a leader. Lightfoot lost her re-election bid this week, receiving just a putrid 16.4% of the vote, finishing behind former head of Chicago Public Schools Paul Vallas and Cook County Commissioner Brandon Johnson. Lightfoot had her crutch before the results were in.

Kamala Harris may suffer from aphasia 49 replies
Posted by Magnante 3/10/2023 8:35:27 AM Post Reply
Kamala Harris's verbal utterances are bizarre, repetitive, and often not completed. (snip) Aphasics may do this to hide the fact that they can literally not hold onto the meaning of their narrative, to carry it to completion. So, they make up an ending to the story and then perhaps flip into a semantically weird ending. Harris often simply repeats her first sentence. This is not planned for a rational purpose, and she often solves her semantic confusion by bursting out in stereotypical laughter, with gestures, to encourage her listeners to think she just did a funny.

America’s top medical schools, worried they have too few minority students, are doing something about it. They are lowering academic standards for admission and trying to hide the evidence. Columbia, Harvard, the University of Chicago, Stanford, Mount Sinai, and the University of Pennsylvania have already done so. The list already tops forty, and more are sure to follow. Of course, the universities won’t admit what they are doing – and certainly not why. All they will say is that their new standards add “equity” and “lived experience.” Unfortunately, adding those factors inevitably lessens the weight given to others.

Where was the video of fed provocateurs and violence coordinators? Capitol Police flash bang and rubber bullet/baton attacks on an unarmed citizen crowd? The deceptions about the barricades? The beatings of unarmed women and lots of unarmed mem, one, Roseann Boyland who died? What was so hard about demonstrating to the public that the J6 was a Reichstag Fire scam?

A Democratic delegate proposed a law in Maryland that would bar anyone under 25 years of age from being charged with felony murder. Delegate Charlotte Crutchfield, a Democrat, made the proposition through the Youth Accountability and Safety Act, House Bill 1180, local news outlet WBFF reported. A defendant in Maryland can be charged with felony murder if the person commits a murder during a felony crime, such as robbery. Crutchfield and supporters of the bill say that the brain is not fully developed before age 25, so issuing so harsh a sentence is unfair. "Starting today we are going to start an information campaign for Mexicans who live and work in the United States and for all Hispanics to inform them of what we are doing in Mexico and how this initiative by the Republicans, in addition to being irresponsible,

In this episode of Climate Alarmism: The Existential Threat to Mankind… The person just one octogenarian heartbeat away from the presidency has long passed the point of being taken seriously by a majority of Americans, as she has babbled and cackled her way through her meaningless job, at which she has apparently accomplished exactly zero in more than two years.During Vice President Kamala Harris’s comments at the recent “Aspen Ideas: Climate Conference” in Miami Beach, the veep busted out what I’m sure she thought would come across as pleadingly serious. I mean, check out that look on her face.

Prince Andrew is faced with another major "letdown" as King Charles prepares for his coronation. The Duke of York is said to be "furious" over the possibility that he’ll be banned from wearing his ceremonial roles when the king is crowned on May 6. The 63-year-old, a knight in the Order of the Garter, was expecting to wear his grand regalia, the Mirror recently reported. However, the king is allegedly "torn" over this decision. "The letdown for Charles' younger brother may be even worse than what has been reported,"
