The environmental disaster taking place in Ohio from a Norfolk Southern derailed train should outrage both sides of the political aisle. After the smoke clears, investigations will take place and most likely will show that there is plenty of blame to be shared, including all levels of government and both political parties.
But at the moment, the complete lack of any significant response by the Biden administration is appalling and begs the question why an administration that is hostile to the free market and supports extreme measures to fight climate change is missing in action?

The Coriolis Effect
They did not follow procedure meant for this kind of event. I worry about the path of the smoke and which states it will affect.

I saw a simulation of wind direction of the fumes and surprisingly it went almost due north. We need to keep our eyes on the fish in Lakes Erie and Huron. That mushroom cloud we’ve all seen was due to an inversion weather pattern that kept those fumes at 1,000 feet for a period of time. I’ve seen impact maps and we’re on the outer NW boundary but I’m not sure if that’s air and and/or water. We’re about 100 miles south of Chicago in western indiana. Actual information is hard to find.

I am really thinking this "assault" on Norfolk-Southern is designed to lower the stock price so Warren Buffett can zoom in and take over for pennies on the dollar. This will give him access to the East Coast.

Do trains have something like a manifest? What shows how many cars, what is on them, who owns them?
If one were transporting illegal aliens would that show up?

Warren Buffet is an opportunist. and Obama certainly held the door for him during the mortgage crisis, but is there something that indicates he has coordinated with the dark side to create those opportunities? I view him more as Eli Musk than Bill Gates or Zuckerburg, who dine with the kings to discuss the peasants.

It's like talking about his empty head. If you don't talk about it then it isn't really a problem. Seems FOX is doing a good job reporting on this chaotic, dangerous situation. Anyone else going to join them in the msm?

If you watch the coverage on Fox, the only network covering it, you see 99% white people at the town hall meeting. That is the pure and simple reason the WH has ignored this. They believe this is Trump country and basically to heck with these people. Now, if this was Youngstown or a heavily black area, Jessie, Rev. Al, and Benjamin Crump would be on the news every day screaming racism. Joe don’t care about these “folks”.

I live 6 miles from E. Palestine. I haven't seen a bird for days. No rabbits. Our wildlife is gone. Our pets are dying. Give it some time, the rest of Ohio will feel this in time. After all the negativity, I hope to see it.

Mike DeWine has been singularly ineffective in handling this situation. I hope you Ohioans remember but not give it to the Dems, who are effing you over big time from the Marionette to Alfred E. Newman and below.

18 may be on it. I listened to interview with Gov. Mighty Mike yesterday and he talks the talk like everything is copacetic with 'chemicals highly diluted in Ohio River' & 'the plume with pass thru without entering drinking water because of constant monitoring'. Phone calls to radio are a whole 'nother story: dust from incessant trucks removing soil & debris covers everything. People are afraid to shower or brush their teeth. Reporter described it as a fog hanging in the air & the stench is sickening when it's not raining. The outcry for Federal Emergency to be declared has been denied as not meeting the standard for assistance as per the Gov's chat with Sleepy Joe. I'm in the camp that says no stinkin' red state is gonna get approval for squat while The Big Guy is in the Oval Office.

Train disaster? What's next? Why don't people leave me alone in my basement! Every few minutes there is another crisis! Why must I deal with all of that??? I am trying to focus on my rerun for president. I did such a great job the first time around. You know me and my integrity! I am not going to bother about some train thingy in Ohio. Besides, did they vote for me???

Chances are the Democrats sucked in a lot of cash from that railroad, and do not want to make waves that could screw up similar piles of cash coming their way before the 2024 General Election.

What a coincidence.

Remember how he justified shutting down Keystone the first couple days of his Residency? He said trains could carry hazardous materials just as well as a pipeline did. Well we now know he is off his rocker on that one. Democrats have a history of poisoning the environment. Remember that earthen dam that broke under the Obama EPA's watch? Poisoned the river and animals in a three state area as I recall. Plus the farmers who depended on that river for irrigation were given a big problem too. Never said a single word then either.
