There are nine Democrats in Chicago vying for the dubious distinction of calling themselves “mayor” of that wretched city. The current mayor, Lori Lightfoot, is locked in a fairly close race with Rep. Jesus “Chuy” Garcia (D-Ill.) and former schools superintendent Paul Vallas.
But, in truth, there’s not a dime’s worth of spit that separates any of them. So the race will hinge on who can lie and exaggerate the best in order to destroy the candidacy of their rivals.
Enter the superhero. Ron DeSantis the Destroyer will visit the Windy City on Monday to address the city’s largest — and very powerful — police union.

John Fetterman is back in the hospital again, this time for multiple weeks as he battles clinical depression (at least, that’s the official narrative). That marks the second time since taking office that the Pennsylvanian senator has been admitted for serious health issues.
The scene is a continuation of the 2022 campaign, in which Fetterman and his handlers did their best to hide the extent of his problems. An MSNBC reporter was famously lambasted for truthfully reporting that he was having trouble understanding people and seemed to be unable to process small talk.

Squatters who took over a Washington state property during the coronavirus pandemic were finally removed by a SWAT team this week only to return to the property shortly after, according to the property owner.
Roughly 30 officers took part in the Wednesday raid of a Lynnwood, Washington property that had been taken over by squatters as part of a stolen vehicle trafficking investigation. Police say 52 cars, some of them stolen, along with drugs and firearms were found on the property, KIRO 7 News reported.
The property owner and neighbors told the outlet they have been dealing with the squatters for several years, dating back to the height of

I’ve been noticing lately that the English paragraph seems to be sinking gradually into the world of the minimal like Michael Crichton’s shrunken people in Micro, a practice that hovers between the silly and the technical. This is especially the case with many of the political articles of our day. The once-mighty paragraph that adorned our best writing in history and politics, as well as literature, is getting shorter by the day, often settling into the one-sentence fragment.
Not only a block of print on a page, the paragraph is a unit of thought, a means of conveying a description, a theory, a report, an impression, a complex idea, or a

Paige Spiranac has jumped to the defense of Tiger Woods amid the backlash he has received for a tampon prank between him and golf partner Justin Thomas.
Woods handed his friend and rival Thomas a tampon during the first round of the Genesis Invitational, shortly after out-driving him on the tee, with cameras - unfortunately for Woods - capturing the moment.
Spiranac, a former college golfer turned model and influencer, was quick to react to the situation and said: 'If anyone tries to cancel Tiger over this we riot. It's funny. 'It's interesting to see women outraged by Tiger slipping JT a tampon after out driving him but those same women

President Joe Biden has demanded Congress take action to enact "common sense" gun reforms after a shooting rampage in Mississippi Friday left six dead. The demand came as he is turning a "blind eye" to Republicans and others who are calling for "common sense" changes to secure the border, a Republican lawmaker claimed.
"We need—need—commonsense gun law reforms," Biden said in a statement on Friday, after suspected shooter Richard Crum, 52, is believed to have used a shotgun and two handguns to carry out a shooting rampage that spanned three different locations across Tate County, Mississippi.
The president added: "That includes requiring background checks on all gun sales, banning assault weapons

Keith Olbermann is a world-class jerk.
We all know that, and usually, jerks don’t merit much attention. Contempt? Obviously. But spending a lot of time worrying about a jerk being a jerk is time you could have spent enjoying something else.
But Olbermann is a hero to many, and one of the more influential political figures in the country. Sometimes an A-lister, usually a B-lister, Olbermann is just the sort of guy who can express the id of the Left and get rewarded for it by his followers, if not his colleagues who famously hate him. [Tweet] Olbermann’s “feisty” personality has cost him professionally–not because his followers

Could his appalling mishandling of the East Palestine train derailment be curtains for Trans Pete, that is, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg? His mismanagement has become the occasion for a rare demonstration of dissension within the Biden administration, which usually marches, nay, goose-steps, in proudly authoritarian lockstep. But could this be fey Pete’s last dance?
After the woefully inadequate Transportation secretary found a way to blame Trump for the catastrophic train derailment, he got pushback from an unexpected quarter: National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) Chair Jennifer Homendy, who branded Buttigieg’s politically

Documents that were unsealed as part of a new lawsuit by the US Virgin Islands against JPMorgan Chase have revealed that at least 20 of the victims on Jeffrey Epstein’s island were paid through accounts at the bank. Insider reports that the US Virgin Islands filed a new version of its December lawsuit in January, which had far less redacted information than the prior one. JPMorgan had asked a federal court in Manhattan to dismiss the suit. The new filing states that Epstein had 55 accounts that were worth “hundreds of millions of dollars.” The suit alleges that the abuse and trafficking took place between 2003 and 2019.

California’s fiscal wildfire is here. The flames are licking the highest levels of the state capitol in Sacramento. The flames surround the Democrat super majority-run legislature.
Democrats’ profligate spending, greed, and lack of imagination on how to run America’s most populous state have been disastrous. An investment research group says California’s “tax policy is killing the Golden Goose in the Golden State.” And that’s not the only problem.
Governor Gavin Newsom sent billions of Joe Biden’s specially printed, inflation-causing Covid money to voters for “inflation relief” before his latest election. He teed up “free” kindergarten for four-year-olds, and gave out “free” healthcare to illegal aliens. His reckless spending was the fiscal

Rumors are spreading on social media that radical left-wing activist George Soros endorsed Ron DeSantis this week.
Spoiler alert: it’s false.
It’s not exactly clear where the claim originated, but several pro-Trump voices on the right have been calling attention to this claim. Even Kari Lake retweeted an article from The Gateway Pundit about it, claiming that Ron DeSantis “just received the kiss of death” because George Soros endorsed him. (Snip) “This could not be worse for DeSantis,” the article bizarrely claims. “When the devil likes you, you might be doing something wrong.”
But does George Soros actually like DeSantis? Not even close. The claim is based on Soros’s prediction

The environmental disaster taking place in Ohio from a Norfolk Southern derailed train should outrage both sides of the political aisle. After the smoke clears, investigations will take place and most likely will show that there is plenty of blame to be shared, including all levels of government and both political parties.
But at the moment, the complete lack of any significant response by the Biden administration is appalling and begs the question why an administration that is hostile to the free market and supports extreme measures to fight climate change is missing in action?
Comments:
Apparently, Pete sees this majority Trump supporting city as not worthy of FEMA attention. After all, the derailment in East Palestine was Trump's fault. Now please leave "Tranny" secretary Pete alone so he can go back home and nurse the twins. He wasn't hired for his abilities, and his uxorial duties require him to be at home with his husband.
