Joe diGenova and Victoria Toensing need

I trust that nearly all AT readers know who Joseph diGenova and Victoria Toensing are. I have long admired both of them as brilliant and tireless conservative thinkers who also happen to be legendarily effective lawyers, usually fighting for conservative causes. Joe and Victoria have been targeted by Merrick Garland’s Department of Justice (details below), and despite being lawyers themselves, need expensive legal and support work to help them fight back. They have targeted $500,000 as their goal to help fund this struggle, and a GiveSendGo account has been established by my friend (and AT contributor) Mark. J. Fitzgibbons to help them. I have already made a donation

I've always admired Joe and Victoria - - but I believed their effusive, optimistic assessment of Bill "The Backstabbing Bagpiper" Barr - - when he first was appointed Attorney General. I expected the world from that fat-faced blowhard - - and I couldn't possibly have been more disappointed - - and enraged. Joe and Victoria - - look ashamed - - look very ashamed. But meanwhile - - I'll be backing your defense against Gestapo Garland and his storm troopers.

This DOJ brings charges that will never hold up, yet cause their opponents to spend thousands of dollars in legal fees. They are sending a message.

These two appeared on the scene about the same time as Sydney Powell was prepping to unleash the "Kraken" on the deep state. There nightly appearances on Fox gave us a sense of hope. Nice and sincere couple, but get back to me when some tangible results have been achieved and I'll consider donating.

Joe and Victoria are two really great people, lawyers and patriots. I too was excited and believed thank God, we have a guy like Bill Barr in there truly believed justice would be done. In my wildest dreams and I will bet you money in theirs as well, having worked at the DOJ in high level positions when they did, they also were relieved and knew now, the truth would finally be unveiled and Trump and we all would get justice. I don't think any patriot, any country loving American believed that the Deep State and the staggering corruption and hate and fear of Trump was so great, that guys like Barr would be bought off, or perhaps,a blackmailed into making some very questionable and taking equally questionable actions or I should say inaction. I KNOW NOW, as many of us do, including Victoria and Joe, that this country is far more compromised, corrupt and literally on the verge of an authoritarian state with God knows who at the helm. They like Trump are being destroyed not only because they represent a threat to the totalitarians that run this country, but they are being made examples of so that we the people don't ever get the notion that we can do anything about this coup without being utterly destroyed. Like every J6 political prisoner or even just people who passed by the Capitol on that day, their lives and those of their family have been destroyed again as an example to the rest of us. Just like the J6 people, they need our help. First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Socialist. Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Trade Unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out— Because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me. — Martin Niemöller

I watched what I thought was a serious journalist blow the first night of the supposed big J6 tape release. But I couldn't help noticing that he picked stuff we already knew -- and he was WEAK. Where was the video of fed provocateurs and violence coordinators? Capitol Police flash bang and rubber bullet/baton attacks on an unarmed citizen crowd? The deceptions about the barricades? The beatings of unarmed women and lots of unarmed mem, one, Roseann Boyland who died? What was so hard about demonstrating to the public that the J6 was a Reichstag Fire scam?

One tries to read widely on the state of the Ukraine war, though it’s extremely difficult to cut through the fog of propaganda and obvious lies. But slowly, the picture of a determined, slow-moving, grinding, painful Russian victory emerges. Ukrainian casualties are almost certainly at unbearable, unsustainable levels. Closest guesses are in the range of 250,000 KIA, orders of magnitude greater than Russia’s, which draws from a vastly larger population. Ukraine is losing a generation of its male youth, all to prop up a declining US planetary hegemony.

Kamala Harris's verbal utterances are bizarre, repetitive, and often not completed. (snip) Aphasics may do this to hide the fact that they can literally not hold onto the meaning of their narrative, to carry it to completion. So, they make up an ending to the story and then perhaps flip into a semantically weird ending. Harris often simply repeats her first sentence. This is not planned for a rational purpose, and she often solves her semantic confusion by bursting out in stereotypical laughter, with gestures, to encourage her listeners to think she just did a funny.

In recent days, Tucker Carlson presented facts about occurrences on January 6th, 2021, in and around the Capitol building that debunked the spurious Democrat narrative of a “deadly insurrection” by Trump supporters. The “deadly insurrection” claim was and is being used to target civilians and subject them to draconian punishment when the severest penalty they actually deserved for their actions on January 6th was a small fine or community service. (snip) Exploiting voters’ fear by peddling the “insurrection” narrative and claiming Trump will be a dictator is the only way the Democrats can secure votes. If the insurrection is debunked, they have nothing.

Under the rallying cry of a housing crisis in the New York metropolitan area, politicians have begun a double-barreled assault against affluent suburban communities (snip) New York governor Kathy Hochul unleashed her New York Housing Compact for 800,000 new units over ten years. (snip) These efforts are based on the premise that there is a housing crisis created by restrictive suburban zoning laws. This is risible, given regional population and construction trends. Between July 1, 2020 and July 1, 2022, New York had a net migration loss of 651,742 individuals, or 3.24% of the population. Connecticut's population is flat, and New Jersey's annual loss is about 1%.

I know, I know; National Review is still the outfit that published the infamous “Against Trump” issue as a last ditch effort to foil the successful 2016 candidacy that led to four years of peace, prosperity, low inflation, and disproportionate gains for the lower end of the income scale under President Trump. But still, it comes as a bit of a shock (snip) There is no hint that NR is bothered by the suppression of video evidence denied to defendants in trials for the J6 incident. Why, there’s plenty enough already available.

Last week, Tucker Carlson had a brief segment about the leaked FBI memo recommending surveillance of traditional Catholics as potential domestic terrorists. America’s top medical schools, worried they have too few minority students, are doing something about it. They are lowering academic standards for admission and trying to hide the evidence. Columbia, Harvard, the University of Chicago, Stanford, Mount Sinai, and the University of Pennsylvania have already done so. The list already tops forty, and more are sure to follow. Of course, the universities won’t admit what they are doing – and certainly not why. All they will say is that their new standards add “equity” and “lived experience.” Unfortunately, adding those factors inevitably lessens the weight given to others.
