During an interview with the BBC that aired last week, Bill Gates was asked to address the public's criticism that his use of private jet travel is hypocritical, given his stance on climate change.
The World Wildlife Fund claimed that air travel is "currently the most carbon intensive activity an individual can make."
Gates and other billionaires have been slammed for traveling in private jets while campaigning about climate change.
"You actually mentioned your use of a private jet.

Bill Gates is helping plants grow by releasing tons of carbon dioxide traveling around the world to meet with others to plan how to keep others from doing the same.

In order for the use of private jets to be of concern to me, I would first have to accept the premise that carbon dioxide is a pollutant.
It is not.
Next, I would have to accept that the climate is changing. Of course, the climate is constantly changing; always has, always will; independent of any human activity.
Finally, I would have to accept that “Climate Change” is a threat.
It is not.
The real threat to humanity is power-mad psychopaths like Bill Gates, Klaus Schwab, George Soros and other freaks like them; not their jets.

Excellent point from the article: According to the International Energy Agency, direct air capture is "not an alternative to cutting emissions" because it "is more energy intensive and therefore expensive than capturing it from a point source." Since it uses lots of energy to "capture" CO2, the CO2 capture process creates more CO2 even if you ignore the cost differential that is stated.

1) Billy Bob is no scientist. We need CO2. (And “direct air capture”???!!)
2) he needs a hobby — word working? Volunteering with Meals on Wheels?
Throwing largess and traveling privately is easy. The hard part is giving of yourself.
3) does he THINK I’m as stupid as he is?

This is the very definition of ‘elitist’. He thinks his money gives him a pass on the demands he’s making of the peasants. This needs to be treated with the derision it deserves.

Hear this, Bill Gates: I do not want you to save me! Please attend to your own business! My view: you are a despicable character I want nothing to do with.

I miss the titans of old like Carnegie, etc who spent their millions/billions on building libraries, etc - not forever damaging the world like this whack job.

What a liar. Typical liberal - always someone's fault!
Yes, Bill, a private jet is part of the problem, no matter how you paint it. Or, since your private jets is not a problem as you claim, are you trying to say there is no such thing as global warming, and since there is no such thing as global warming flying a private jet cannot be a contributor to a problem that does not exist?

I never gave any thought that jets, public or private, contributed to global warming in any significant way. The earth continually cleans and refresh itself. The issue, for me, is just the blatant hypocrisy of the elite, super-rich climatistas who preach to us their false virtues.

FTA...'Gates responded, "Well, I buy the gold standard of funding Climeworks, to do direct air capture that far exceeds my family's carbon footprint."'
Back in the day, this was called granting indulgences and led to what we now call the Protestant Revolution. What the world needs today is a modern Martin Luther and a good stout church door.

Bill Gates can say and do whatever he wants to make himself feel better about his carbon footprint and hypocritical actions. We all know that he is full of hot air and nothing he says or does will convince the un gullible masses otherwise until he actually practices what he preaches and lives as he commands everyone else to live.

Wait a minute, if he's not part of the problem neither am I. My carbon footprint is one millionth of Gates'.
What he means is, "I'm not one of you little people. The little people who must be controlled."

Bill Gates needs to keep himself at ground level so he can focus on his jacked up Microsoft product. That's where the would be god could do some good. Stop meddling and trying to become king of the world, you pond scum. You're not a good man.
