So we begin with a bit of a biographical note. Like many writers at PJ Media, I work from home. There was a knock at my door this morning, and I noticed a police vehicle outside. What many people don't know about CE3K, when the kitchen blew up after the aliens came to her house, the only people who knew what would happen were the director and the little boy who played her son. She had no idea that the kitchen appliances were going to go crazy, so her screams of terror were absolutely real. While she was wonderful in that movie, I will always remember her as Ralphie's mom in A Christmas Story. She played "everymom" so perfectly. RIP, lovely lady.
