Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals” apply to all radicals, including those who take the radical position that patriotic constitutional conservativism is a good thing. Conservatives need to enshrine his sixth rule: “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.” That’s the wonderful move the descendants of T.C. Williams made when the University of Richmond deleted his existence. (snip) his family donated $25,000 ($803,999 in 2022 dollars) (snip) by 1920, the University of Richmond renamed the law school. Up until last year, it was The T.C. Williams School of Law.

This is a good start but the next step is to close down both Yale and Vanderbilt Universities and turn them into Section 8 housing for the descendants of slaves. Elihu Yale was a slave trader and Cornelius Vanderbilt owned numerous plantations. Both universities are horrendously woke and they need to suffer the consequences of their own wokeness.

#6 and others, I'm not a lawyer, and can't cite the cases, but the courts have ruled that a school can do whatever it wants with donations, no matter what promises were made. (I beieve Hershey was involved in some of the cases. He believed in donating money to help white male orphans.)

From Find-A-Grave, here's a bio of Thomas C. Williams, Sr. born VA 14 Aug 1831, died VA 2 Apr 1889 (sorry, I don't know how to shorten the address): https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/17081917/thomas-c.-williams?_gl=1*1qt6yk9*_ga*MTA0ODcyNTcwOC4xNjYxNzg5NDcy*_ga_4QT8FMEX30*MTY3NTI2OTI1NC45NC4xLjE2NzUyNzQ0NDguMTguMC4w*_ga_B2YGR3SSMB*ZTQ1NDg4ZjAtM2M0Mi00MmYzLWEzNzUtNjViZTc1MjczNmNkLjExMS4xLjE2NzUyNzQ0NDkuMTguMC4w Looking at what I can find on Ancestry.com, Thomas and brother Adolph were tobacconists (I'd call them tobacco manufacturers) and both still lived at home with their father, Jesse, older brother Elisha (both originally brick-layers) and other family members on the 1860 census, Henrico Co, District 3, Virginia. Looking at the 1860 Census Slave Schedule, it looks like Jesse had 15 slaves and Elisha had five. (Unusually for records I've looked at, all were mature adults, except a 14-year-old boy, and only 4 women.) T.C. was also a friend and business partner of James Thomas (if I got the right one, 55 slaves). However, there is no indication on that schedule that T.C., himself, owned any slaves. So, University of Richmond School of Law, guilt by association now, is it?

More decedents of "cancelled" historical figures should do the same. These colleges don't want their names, then don't sully their institutions with "tainted" money. Claw it all back. The statues that southern cities put away into storage, those families should just retrieve them and put them up on their own front lawns. The "left" has been giving patriotic Americans the proverbial middle finger for sixty years; give it back to them with both hands. I'm done with it all; slavery reparations, black lives matter, open borders to the world's wretched, recycling, climate change, plastic bags, masks, hand sanitizer, outrage for outrage sake. My new motto and response to anything lefty, "Let's not and say we did. You're in my way."

What's the celebration all about in Minnesota? (snip) The answer is a celebration about abortion, or "reproductive rights" as they call it these days. After Roe was overturned, we knew that states would decide the issue on their own. And so they did. Elections have consequences as we see in a 34-33 party-line vote. And in Minnesota they had a huge celebration to go with it. Not one Democrat had the guts to stand up and look at the abortion fanatics and say: This is too much. You can't go this far.

For any given election, it is customary to expect some falsehoods. (snip) Just yesterday, following a court order, footage of the attack on Paul Pelosi at his San Francisco home was made public. (snip) The reason citizens should be concerned about it is because the incident was used to push a narrative prior to the midterm elections. This wasn’t just a few conspiracy theorists blogging from their basements, it was a Democrat and media blitzkrieg. Joe Biden described the attack as "despicable," and denounced a corrosive political climate for contributing to violence. He baselessly claimed that the attack appeared to be "intended for Nancy."

Let’s cut to the chase: Did Joe Biden remove classified documents from the National Archives that would incriminate him in the influence peddling racket he and his family were running? That’s the most important question about them, and that’s probably why the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI) is being stonewalled in their demand to see them. The expression, “If some is good, more must be better” might apply to chocolate, vacations, and American Thinker articles, but not to everything in life. I speak of COVID vaccines, a hot topic in personal discussions and on social media. The corporate media and government, including most world health authorities follow a similar quote, attributed to May West, ““If a little is great, and a lot is better, then way too much is just about right!” Is that so? Are an endless series of mRNA “vaccines” really in the best interests of virtually all Americans for whom they are recommended?

After years of flip-flopping, the ATF has issued a rule recharacterizing guns with pistol braces, making millions of currently owned guns subject to federal "short-barrel" rifle registration, together with a $200 tax. The effect of this rule change is particularly potent in Connecticut, where existing laws banning so-called "assault rifles" are immediately triggered. Owners there of handguns with pistol braces cannot merely remove the brace if the weapon has a "forward pistol grip" or "second hand grip"; these guns are effectively rendered instantly illegal due to the fickle federal rule change.

Trump has been attacking Ron DeSantis on the COVID lockdown issue, arguing that the governor’s reputation as a freedom fighter is unearned. Trump even implies that DeSantis was something of a COVID fascist, while Trump himself was fighting to reopen the American economy. That is a profoundly stupid line of attack.
