"Financial security is national security, and we're not on a course where we can can maintain that trajectory."

Here is my extremely simple way to "trim" the size of the federal government - - 1. Defund and eliminate all cabinet departments - - except Defense, Justice, Treasury, and State; 2. Turn over all federal lands - - outside of the District of Columbia - - to the respective states in which they are located. Voila! A "trimmed" federal government!
